Updated to stock 5.1.1 now device freezes and Visual Voicemail no longer works - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

All,
I have a rooted s6 edge and I recently updated to 5.1.1 updated unikernel to V8. Now my device is freezing when I'm in the middle of texting, or browsing the web or any other task or application i am using.
Also, visual voicemail no longer works. I've left myself several test voicemails and nothing shows up on visual voicemail.
Should I be moving to a custom rom and if so which do you guys prefer? Or is their a simple fix for what I am experiencing.
Thanks for all responses.

I would try flashing the stock ROM 5.1.1 again and if that does not work i would recommend flashing a custom ROM to see if that does the trick.

Any custom ROM you'd recommend? on my previous devices I was a big fan of the PAC ROM's but they dont have anything out for the S6 Edge.

But for it worked well with some nightly of CM7 (I can't remember the exact version). May be you can try a few and check if it works for you too.
Hi guys,
This is Viber's rep, I'm here to assist.
@HTC Venom - Unfortunately Viber is not fully compatible with custom ROMs. :/
Do you have the latest Viber version (2.3.6)?
Regards,
Viber

[Q] n900t on n9005 ND3 ROM ... NFC question w/ pics

I have an sm-n900t, rooted, I have flashed ND3.zip Many thanks to teshxx (showthread.php?t=2723781), and also leanKernel 2.4.1 (also amazing work by imoseyon)
Unfortunately NFC isn't working and I stumbled upon this dialog box that I haven't read anything about. My head hurts from reading so much. Can someone explain what these are? Is there a way too get NFC working on this stock international ROM?

WRONG LINK
NFC will probably not work with roms for other phones...
Here is the NB4 for your phone. NFC will work on this stock firmware LINK
Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the help.
I had read that international ROMs were a lot faster and figured I would try it and see for myself. I didn't notice a huge speed difference. I did seem to have a bigger problem keeping my data connection.
The dark phone dialer is so much more attractive. Is there a way that I could keep the phone portion if I return to stock NB4?
The ROM that I flashed also has none of the KNOX files (which was nice). And it seems to be very battery friendly, which is always a plus.
Thanks again for your help.

Actually, I did some more digging in the threads and the info was there, I just didn't realize it. :victory:
@Imoseyon paved the way with his leanKernel-hlte-2.2.4 -I had tried the 2.4 version then 2.4.1. After going through the thread a few more times I saw the n900t kernel download link. After flashing that and rebooting the NFC icon was up on the status bar
I hope this helps someone else with a T-Mobile Note 3 (SM-N900T) looking to explore International (SM-N9005) ROMs. I like leanKernel. It is doing exactly as advertised. Thanks imoseyon! (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2488233)
And a big "Thanks" to @teshxx for his ND3 updated ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2723781)

[Q] Help getting back to a TW based ROM

Hi, it's been almost a year since I last installed a new ROM on my rooted/unlocked S3, and to make a long story short, I'm trying to figure out how to flash to a TW based rom (I'm on a 4.3 version of PACman ROM right now). Not having kept up with anything for the past year, I'm surprised at how complicated everything seems now, so I'm hoping someone can offer any pointers on how to avoid screwing anything up.
I've used ASOP/CM based ROMs for almost the entire time I've had the phone and as good as they are, I'm just having problems with almost daily reboots now, so I want to see if a TW based ROM will be better.
I'm on VRBLK3 baseband if that matters.
I'm ok losing all my data as I have everything important (SMS, whatsapp texts, etc) backed up.
Thanks for any help.

If you like TW rom then I suggest you try
Alliancerom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1973982
It's TW rom with a lot of customization, just follow the instruction in the OP page.

You could but don't go pass VRUBMF1 modem. VRUBMF1 is where you should upgrade to.

Advice Please regarding Marshmallow on Note 3

Hello.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 currently running the Vodafone official Lollipop ROM. I find it very sluggish and would like to speed it up.
Would I see any benefit in rooting my phone and going to CM13 or an alternative Marshmallow ROM ?
I have 2 apps that I use constantly - IBM Verse and VPNCilla, both of which I use for work. Would both of these apps work
on a custom ROM, as this would be a deal breaker if they did not.
If all of the answers to the above were yes, where would be the best place to download the necessary ROM etc, as it has been a while since I have done this.
Many thanks,
Simon

Yes marshmallow is more smooth relative to lollipop.
As for your apps it depends on the ROM, if the ROM you are using has a VPN bug it means you won't be able to use vpncilla properly ,just check known issues of the ROM before flashing to make sure
XDA is the good place to find development
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-unofficial-cyanogenmod-13-0-t3238064 try any other if you don't like it ,lots of marshmallow based ROMs out there nowadays

Can you recommend an alternative ROM to the CM one, as it states on the link that was sent that there is a problem will Call Audio, which is a problem for me, as I use the phone to make calls.
Thanks.

RR is the best I've tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-resurrection-lollipop-v5-3-4-t3030058

Galaxy S6 - Resurrection Remix Rom

So I have recently installed Resurrection Remix on my Galaxy S6 SM-G920F and everything went smoothly...until something didn't.
My only problem with this Rom (I only believe its the rom, I haven't flashed my samsung backup yet) so far has been that when calling out or receiving calls, most of the time, I cannot be heard.
This even appeared to cause problems with my in-car bluetooth.
Does anyone have any solution to this problem or anyone suffered with this? I need to be able to use my phone as a phone for work especially.
Thank you in advance!!
It's a known problem on AOSP ROMs.
The only thing you can do is wait for bugfix.

Total shame because its an amazing ROM. I absolutely hate the TouchWiz UI and don't want to have to go back to it...might not have a choice at the moment.
Can you help me please? How did you install RR? I also have the S6 g920f. I tried it but it doesn´t work.
