Now after you downloaded everything Open Oden and boot your Device into download mode....
How to enter Samsung Galaxy Prevail 2 recovery mode
Power off your device.
Boot in recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Up, Power Button and Home Button at the same time.
Release all buttons when the Samsung Galaxy Prevail 2 screen flickers and in a few seconds the Recovery screen will appear.
Now place the 'Recovery.tar file in 'PDA' in Oden.
Hit Start and let it do its thing.
Bam your back in business.

Hold power button, home button, volume down... if you just power up, when it powers up and goes to Odin mode directly, it will not take a flash

I have a stock OEM deodexed rom, that can be flashed in FlashFire

odin is really picky. what firmware are you trying to flash?

It don't mater..when I have a bad flash it would not boot and go directly to odin mode, when it did.. it did not mater what I flashed, it would not take it. I had to manually put it into odin to take a flash... gitch I guess. The rom I pulled from the phone deodexed it, and because we do not have a recovery yet the only way to flash is FlashFire

I727 does not boot fully (at&t)

Hello there and thank you for looking at my problem.
I have an at&t galaxy S II skyrocket that I have rooted using superoneclick.
I have not flashed any ROM onto the phone as of now. The phone somehow shut itself down last night while charging and now it will not turn on I can get to the Samsung screen but after that it is just a blank screen and I have to remove and replace the battery to try again.
First do u have cwm recovery installed? If so flash the stock recovery tar found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1360943 with odin. Then boot into stock recovery, and wipe data/cache 3 times then reboot. If that does not work follow the instructions found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=1342348 and odin the stock tar
---------- Post added at 12:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:06 PM ----------
You may still need to boot into stock recovery and wipe data/cache after you odin the stock tat
No I do not, I have only rooted my phone
Ok shut down your phone and power it back on while holding volume up and volume down. This will get you into stock recovery. Then wipe data/cache 3 times each and reboot
When I do that my phone puts up some text but after the 4th line (actually doesn't say checksum it says "already executed!!") appears the phone will pause there for 5 seconds and blank out is this normal?
Just follow these instructions. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=1342348. That will take you back to 100 percent stock
Thank you for your help
No problem. But make sure you download and install the program 7zip. Because you need to unzip the. 7z file the stock tar is inside

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M keeps rebooting

Here's my problem:
I have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M that keeps rebooting after trying to install a custom recovery so that I can root it.
What I did
I followed the steps (1 to 11), of Installing a custom recovery on Galaxy S mentioned in the following page:
wiki,cyanogenmod,org/w/Install_CM_for_galaxysmtd
After that, I simply unplugged the usb, there were no errors, and removed the battery and now what I get is the simply that my device reboots after the boot logo. IF I hold down volume + home + power I can boot in download mode. However, I cannot boot in recovery or in normal mode !
Here's a video of what it is doing youtube,com/watch?v=Wie9eZYyECw
What I have tried
Removing the battery and reboot the cellphone
I tried to redo step 7, heimdall flash --kernel zImage --no-reboot, but I still got the same error

Ok ok. I have two questions for that, first, do you know where I can find the stock rom. And secondly, can I do that via download mode since it is the only thing I can access ?

http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=4379
this is latest for it
Instructions
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.09
Extract Odin zip-file
Open Odin v3.09
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes
Thank you for that ! I have one question, I have plugged my phone in my computer, however, Odin does not detect it. My phone is recognized as Gadget Serial, do I have to do somehting so that my phone will be recognized ? I have tried to install the following drivers without success ! forum,xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=961956
Forget this I had to remove the previous driver !

Recovery bootloop. No USB debugging. No Recovery.

So long story short, tried installing unofficial CWM recovery, and phone bootlooped. It just boots up, says it's booting to recovery, and restarts. Boots to recovery restarts. I can boot into download mode, but I don't think USB debugging is enabled because I can't see my device on adb. I think my only option might be fastboot, but I don't know how to set it up or use commands to reinstall philz custom recovery. I had that before I tried the unofficial CWM. Anyone have an idea on how I can get myself out of this one? Any help will be very much appreciated!

I'm on Antergos right now, so I can't use Odin. My phone tries to boot to recovery mode when I just hold the power button down, fails, then keeps trying to reboot to recovery.
Dont know if this was somved or not, but it sounds like your recovery didnt take, thats why it keeps trying boot into recovery and failing. Its missing. Either restore a backup, find a way to flash a recovery since you cant use odin, or find a way to flash back to complete stock package which will include a recovery.
I just took the phone to sprint and got a new one free of charge.

Neither Can't Get out of (Odin Mode/Download Mode) nor Can't Enter in Recovery Mode.

Hello Every One,
I had Installed Lollipop (android 5.0) Custom ROM in my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-19300 & I wanted to install marshamallow (android 6.0) I Had Downloaded The Zip Files of ROM in my Mobile but before Starting the Installation I had to Go to Recovery mode But i was Receiving The Download or You can say Odin mode screen After Pressing Vol up+home+Power button So i Tried To Reboot it in Recovery Mode From Reboot option But That Made that a Bootloop Becuase i Couldn't Enter To Recovery Mode & Stucked in Download Mode & Now When ever i restart My Mobile The Same Download Mode Comes & Becuase i Cannot Go Further So No Softwear (odin,Kies,Kingo root,Mobile go,mobogenie etc) can't Detect my phone after plugging it to computer, Please Any one help It has been days that i am searching for any solution.
Why not reflash your recovery with odin? It will probably let you out of download mode and be able to get to recovery.
---------- Post added at 08:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:26 PM ----------
Sorry. I just noticed that not even odin detects it any more.
---------- Post added at 08:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:28 PM ----------
I guess you already tried the usual stuff like uninstall kies and all other stuff that might interfear with odin, tried different ports and cables. Started odin with admin rights and tried other versions of odin ? Does it get recognised as anything in device manager?
yeah The Device Icon Does Come in Device Manager but Odin says that "Connected Device has stopped responding", And yeah i tried odin with admin Rights too but not of any use & Also i tried different ports and uninstalling odin etc & installing odin again but it was useless as it was giving the same result.
