I727 does not boot fully (at&t) - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hello there and thank you for looking at my problem.
I have an at&t galaxy S II skyrocket that I have rooted using superoneclick.
I have not flashed any ROM onto the phone as of now. The phone somehow shut itself down last night while charging and now it will not turn on I can get to the Samsung screen but after that it is just a blank screen and I have to remove and replace the battery to try again.

First do u have cwm recovery installed? If so flash the stock recovery tar found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1360943 with odin. Then boot into stock recovery, and wipe data/cache 3 times then reboot. If that does not work follow the instructions found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=1342348 and odin the stock tar
---------- Post added at 12:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:06 PM ----------
You may still need to boot into stock recovery and wipe data/cache after you odin the stock tat

No I do not, I have only rooted my phone

Ok shut down your phone and power it back on while holding volume up and volume down. This will get you into stock recovery. Then wipe data/cache 3 times each and reboot

When I do that my phone puts up some text but after the 4th line (actually doesn't say checksum it says "already executed!!") appears the phone will pause there for 5 seconds and blank out is this normal?

Just follow these instructions. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=1342348. That will take you back to 100 percent stock

Thank you for your help

No problem. But make sure you download and install the program 7zip. Because you need to unzip the. 7z file the stock tar is inside

Phone won't boot...need help quick!

I was running CarbonROM and wanted to try out a TW ROM. I booted into my recovery (TWRP), backed up Carbon, went to wipe options, did a Factory Reset, pushed the button to wipe system, it started but after a couple seconds the phone rebooted. I try boot back into recovery by holding down the power, VOL up, and home button. I get the "Samsung" splash screen and it says "recovery booting....", then the TWRP screen will show for a couple seconds, then my phone will reboot. I can't boot into the phone because I did a factory reset.
So I can't get into the phone and only get the start screen for TWRP but can't actually get into TWRP. Any help?
I found out I can boot into download mode. I should be able to find a stock rooted image there, right? Not sure how to do that though.
Had the same problem a little while back.
It;s been a few weeks since this happened to me so it's a little hazy so bear with me.
You are going to want to use ODIN to flash a rom with root, and once you get that you are going to want to reinstall a recovery pronto. (I suggest EZ-recovery 1.2)
A quick search will give you a few tutorials, just basically start like you are coming from a stock firmware and are rooting through ODIN.
Hope this helps!

It sounds like you TWRP might be broken. I'd try Odin first and pda push the newest TWRP again. If That fails then I'd push the newest CWM in Odin and see if that works. After getting CWMI to boot if you want to go back to TWRP again, pda it over thru Odin. If these fail then push a stock ROM from Odin and start all over again.

Sounds like a soft brick I did once too. I believe what I did was use Odin to go back to factory defaults, then I rerooted my phone

[Q] Firmware Upgrade Encountered An Issue

Just got the D2VZW back from the repair shop, which put it back to factory specs/locking/unrooted.
Used Casual All-In-On to gain root. Used EZ Recovery to flash the latest TWRP, but forgot to unlock the bootloader first.
Tried to boot into recovery, but got a message about unauthorized software to to take it to Verizon. Phone wouldn't boot anymore. Booted into downloader mode and tried to Odin back to stock, but received a failed message.
Now I can only boot into Downloader / Odin mode. Any other mode gives me an error about "Firmware Upgrade Encountered An Issue...".
I read that you can use Kies to do an emergency firmware recovery, but when I do that it just stays at 0% when trying to flash to the phone.
Any idea how to resolve this?
EDIT: And the Search function on XDA is out of service at the moment, which makes things more of a challenge.

Thanks for the help!
I THINK I got it working in Odin by flashing the MB1 bootchain (even though device is updated to MF1).
The strange thing is now I am still unable to Odin back to LG1 (stock) and take all the OTAs to MF1. I get a failed message. Device boots now though, which is good.

Correct. I took an OTA to MF1 and then tried rooting/unlocking/recovery and failed. But since I don't see an MF1 bootchain Odin file available, I flashed the MB1.

I downloaded that earlier, but the MD5s didn't match. I'll re-download and give that a shot. Thanks!
Boot to download mode then open odin
click PDA, Navigate to this folder and select the file you download (odin might freeze for a second just wait)
4. Press Start and let it finish till it says Reset OK or in the message box when it says Done
5. Your phone should be stuck @ the Verizon Screen to fix this pull battery and boot into stock recovery
Volume UP, Home, Power HELD until Message is displayed on top left corner "recovery booting" then you can release all 3 buttons
navigate to factory data reset using volume down then power to select then after done select Reboot to system and enjoy

let me know if that works because im still uploading the full recovery image witch appears to be bigger

Will do. I've got about 5 minutes left on the download. Then I'll check MD5 and flash.
EDIT: MD5s matched this time. Unzipped file is 1.24GB. Flashing now.
EDIT2: Still fails after trying to write aboot.mbn
EDIT3: When booting, I get the message again about there was an error with the firmware. But now since I flashed a kernel, I get the Software not authorized by Verizon message with the "Secure Fail: Kernel" in the corner.

Looks like I'm SOL again. I tried to follow Hero's method for de-bricking which involved flashing the route66 odin file, but telling it to clear data. I did that, but the flash failed, which erased part of my data. Now the phone hangs at the boot logo since the data was erased. When I try to boot into recovery it gives me the Unauthorized Software Error.

You can't boot into regular ODIN?
Some of what you're describing reminds me of the hell I went through with this phone last week.
I had similar issues with mine - I couldn't boot to anything but download mode - tried the root66 bit and no luck: ODIN kept coming back in FAIL!
In the end, there were a couple of things that got me back. Figuring I had nothing left to lose, I flashed the PIT for the phone in ODIN to re-partition. This allowed be to boot to stock recovery, but things were still messed up and the phone wouldn't boot to system. Recovery complained about missing /data, but that went away with a wipe/restore/factory reset in recovery. I forgot to bookmark the location of the PIT for this particular phone, otherwise I'd post it here. It shouldn't be too hard to find, though. Just be certain it's the I535 Verizon PIT, and be sure it's for the correct 16/32GB version.
I was also trying to run ODIN through a Virtual Machine, which always worked flawlessly for me in the past, but seemed to have been causing issues whenever I'd try flashing anything other than the PIT through ODIN. I booted to a native PC, re-installed the Samsung drivers and followed the soft-brick recovery procedure. This got the root66 images back on and the phone came back to life. I then ran Triangle Away to reset the counter and used ODIN to push the initial VZW image (VRALG1) to the phone and followed all OTA updates to the most recent 4.1.2 (MF1).
The phone's behaved itself since. I did root it and pushed TWRP, but other than that, it's back to stock and I'm a bit hesitant to go back to any other firmware after this mess. I'm waiting to flash the MF1 bootchain to re-lock the bootloader, but it's hard to come by and I'm still waiting on my PM to DarkMenace, who has a copy.
I'm not sure how similar your situation is to mine, but maybe some of this info is useful?

Yes.
I actually just figured out my problem. I was trying to use Odin through VMWare Fusion (emulator) on a Mac. This has worked in the past, but either it's something with the latest Mac OS update or VMWare update that breaks it now. I installed Windows nativly through Apple Bootcamp and Odin works as expected.
Thanks everyone for the advice.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M keeps rebooting

Here's my problem:
I have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M that keeps rebooting after trying to install a custom recovery so that I can root it.
What I did
I followed the steps (1 to 11), of Installing a custom recovery on Galaxy S mentioned in the following page:
wiki,cyanogenmod,org/w/Install_CM_for_galaxysmtd
After that, I simply unplugged the usb, there were no errors, and removed the battery and now what I get is the simply that my device reboots after the boot logo. IF I hold down volume + home + power I can boot in download mode. However, I cannot boot in recovery or in normal mode !
Here's a video of what it is doing youtube,com/watch?v=Wie9eZYyECw
What I have tried
Removing the battery and reboot the cellphone
I tried to redo step 7, heimdall flash --kernel zImage --no-reboot, but I still got the same error

[Q] P6200 Bootloop Problem. Need to recover files.

Hi,
I have Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus (P6200).
The device was stuck in a bootloop sequence.
It boot until enter the main screen then it freeze then the screen is off then start the boot again.
I really need to recover the files from internal storage.
I've tried copy the file when it enter the main screen. But when I choose the folder, the device start to reboot itself.
I've tried using ADB. Get my self in recovery and the ADB can recognize the device. But the main problem is, I can't access the /data folder because I don't have any access. I tried SU on ADB Shell but I get Segementation Fault. I tried adb root and get ADBD cannot run as root in production builds.
is there anyway to save the data ?
Thank you
Write CWM witch Odin, then run CWM and plug in to PC and mount internal storage.

Wow, thanks !
Will try it right now.
I've tried the method, and when in download mode, the screen stuck in 100% download. But not reboot it self.
in Odin setting, I untick the auto reboot option and f reset time.
I was waiting for a while, still nothing happened. Then I manually turn off the device by holding the power button for about 5 seconds.
When I powered up the device again, the recovery still the same (Android Recovery 3e).
How long is the uploading progress take to complete ?

If you Plug-In galaxy tab to PC then ID:COM flash in yellow like this screen odin connect? If not, you can't send any file to galaxy.
Last Chance: you can flash official firmware (from sammobile.com) with Odin, remeber do not select "re-partition" and "PIT" option, after flash u can ran your TAB and seve all data.

Yes, the Odin flashed yellow, and the report was a success.
The loading bar in the device is showing progress from 0 a 100 percent full bar, then it stuck there. Not like the others that automatically rebooting.
I don't know about flashing with official FW, i'am afraid that it will remove all my data.
Are you sure it wont remove my data ?
All your data will be safe, odin flash only system data files.
when I updated my TAB from ICS to JB witch Odin, after update must be meke FACTROY RESET to erase all data files on TAB.

My moto G3 is stuck on the "warning, bootloader unlocked" page, please help !
I recently rooted my Motorola Moto G3 and it worked.... ish, when I opened my phone from it being turned off I was greeted with the message telling me that it was super duper dangerous to root your phone and I could damage my phone, that normally goes as it is just a mandatory thing that they have to say, I waited for a while and it didn't go, I waited for a day and it didn't go. So I let it run out of charge and tried to boot it again, this didn't work, I was still seeing the same white screen with red and black writing. I then let it run out of charge and open it in fast boot mode by pressing the power button and volume down, this did work and from there I have managed to open the team win recovery project but whenever I do anything from then, it will go back to the error page and then will never load. I have even reset the phone to factory settings. If I hold the power button it will turn off the phone but very shortly after automatically turn itself back on to this same image.... please help!
How did you end up rooting it? Have you tried flashing a factory image?
If I were you, I would try to reflash stock firmware with factory reset
@Artyb52
hi, what did you do to Root ??
check these , if you have done evrything :
1) USB debugging enabled, allow OEM unlocking Enable ( developer options )
2) install ADB and fastboot. ( in PC)
3) Unlock bootloader in Fastboot mode .. (After unlocking did you PowerOn your phone, and check ? did it ON with out any problems? )
4) Installing a recovery , by following proper commands and choosing right version ..
5) flashing SuperSU with that Recovery.
If you have done everything Right, then Do onething.. Change CustomRecovery Version ( if on TWRP ) ,
else Goto Fastboot.. press POWER OFF, so that your phone gets SHUT DOWN, then On it normally ..
i have seen a problem where REBOOT function causes Bootloops..
i tried that and it didnt work :/
@nandakis4 shame it didn't work. Do you have any other tips, I would be really grateful
