Logitech X240 left speaker doesn't work. Any idea that would lead in a solution? - General Questions and Answers

Alright folks! I got these http://www.orangedove.net/images/ims-1/354_cs-2.jpg (photo isn't mine) since 2007 and I love them, but the left speaker doesn't have any audio coming from it.
Here's how it goes.

Using the earphones jack, it's like connecting directly to the computer, because even with the speakers switched off, audio do comes from this jack.
My plain speakers work fine (L&R audio).
PC audio jack works fine (because as I said, when connecting something in the earphones jack, L&R do work fine).
But whatever I plug in the woofer (the speakers audio jack), the audio comes from the right side only. If I pull out a bit the jack from the woofer then the audio comes from both speakers but actually it's not stereo but mono with the right output, coming from both speakers.
I disassembled it:

Now the thing is how to find a solution making the left speaker work again. The issue comes either from the woofer or the control panel. Sometimes when I push a bit the cables and the woofer, I get it working but for a limited time or until I move them again. I'm 90% sure that the issue resides in the woofer's audio jack. And it seems a bit tricky to replace it (never tried soldering etc).
Gosh, I wish I could change the title... Not working? Seriously? *doesn't work* should it be. Mod edit: Fixed that for you

[Q] EAR speaker broken[no sound]

oke,so my ear speaker has no sound while calling.
and i dont know if there is any other way of testing it.(all music ect ect go's trugh back speaker)
so im geusing its broken.
so my question is. where can i get a new one?(speaker part)
or is there a way to test it to see if it stil works.
You sure it's not in silent mode? Sorry, but it has to be asked.
It could be a lose connection or just went bad. I had same problem but with rear speaker id just hit it on the palm of my hand a few times and would start working
eventually stopped working all together so i took apart cleaned connections and reseated to the mainboard but no go so i sent back to Samsung
You can try to order the part but you will have to desolder the speaker off the cable becasue the earpiece and rear speaker are two separate parts for some reason
so when you order the new piece it wont come with the rear speaker so you will have to solder that back on...this is why i sent to Samsung didn't want to deal with soldering plus phone was under warranty so
this is the whole assembly (impossible to find online to purchase)

this is what you want
this is the rear speaker you have to desolder off and onto new cable
if under warranty and if definitely defective i would send back if under warrenty

Headset Jack longer than standard 3.5mm Haipai x710d/any Chinese phone owners

Hey does anyone know where to get or what size the 3.5mm (Length wise) headset jack is? It seems to be longer than the standard 3.5mm Headset jack. Is this on all Chinese branded phones? Any info is appreciated.
Thanks

Heres a picture I took.
The white headphone cable came with the phone, and is slightly longer and so fits in the phone properly. The black headphone cable is standard 3.5mm and does not fit in the phone properly.
It would be great if anyone else had any info on this, or maybe some headphones with longer 3.5mm, or an adapter?
I think it would be possible to make a DIY adapter out of the headphones they give you but that would be quite inconvenient
Yeah this is a design flaw, I think once they manufactured the phones and found out the 3.5mm problem they put a cheap pair of 3.5mm headphones with a longer plug that would fit, and shipped it with the phone. At first I thought my jack was broken, than I found the design problem. I would have preferred a modified adapter that would allow standard 3.5mm headphones, since they went ahead and shipped it anyway!
This is the difference between some Chinese design/manufactures, vs USA, Japan, German. The attention to detail. This would have not made it out the door with this problem. But then again it would cost 3 times as much also!

Tiny, tiny little portable headphones amplifier

Figured I'd share what I found while surfing for headphone amps.
http://www.head-fi.org/t/658619/fireye-mini-review
The new Firestone Audio Fireye Mini is one of the smallest headphone amplifiers in the world, and offers improved sound quality across the board with all iPod, iPad, iPhones and virtually any MP3 player with a 3.5mm headphone output.
No matter if you have an iPod Touch or an iPod Nano, the Fireye Mini will provide you with better sound quality, with improved bass response and authority, and the ability to drive a more difficult load than woudl otherwise be possible.
The Fireye Mini could not be easier to use, simply charge via USB connection to your computer, and then connect to the headphone output of your portable music player, to enjoy great sound on the go.

This thing is TINY. And apparently it'll give a small volume boost, but the impressive thing is that since it has more power, you get more clarity and better bass. And it goes for ~20 hours on rechargeable battery, which is kinda neat.
$40 at Amazon Prime and available in like six different colors.

Yeah, it's the little tiny purple box in this pic. Also available in black & other various colors.

NOTE: This will NOT work with microphones. So if your headphones have mics, then you can use this with the headphone but the microphone won't work as long as this is attached.

I already ordered it from ebay, but it will take at least a month to arrive.
I have noticed that when I turn on loudspeaker while making a call, other person can hear me (but than I cannot hear him, because loudspeaker is not connected),I guess there is one more microphone somewhere, so I was hoping to find a hack to enable this other MIC without turning on loudspeaker?
Thanks!

Ya, even my microphone is broken. Its strange that when I dictate with AOSP keyboard or Google Now, MIC works fine but when I record something, it records only beep.
Did you received your part?

No stereo separation

Hello. I just jumped to a xperia 5 II from a huawei p30 and i was really anxious to try out the speakers and the sound quality. To my surprise, there is no stereo separation. Front phone speakers...ok, i don t mind. But headphones? Mainly i was using wired headphones from apple. But i also tried other headphones and same result. No stereo separation. No left or right output from tests on youtube. Is there a setting i m missing? I only find good opinions regarding sound. So i m not sure if my device has an issue or there is a setting i don t know about. Toggleing dolby on or of does not make a difference. No stereo on other apps also

I tried YouTube videos for left channel right channel test and everything seems to be working fine. Front Stereo Speaker, SONY 310AP Wired headphones and Sony MDR-XB950N1 wireless all working properly. I have Dolby Atmos and DSEE Ultimate setting ON.
Working now. Fiiiiiinally. When swaping, the sony took over all settings from the p30, including mono audio, which was activated on the other phone. All good now. Thank you
