[Completed] ADB to recover images when screen broken. - XDA Assist

Ill start with a thanks for the time.
Samsung GT i9300 Galaxy S III
Vodafone (Not certain)
No Root
No USB debugging
No screen
Need the images from internal memory.
I have a Samsung GT-i9300 Galaxy S III with a faulty screen. When I boot the phone all I get is what looks like frozen static with the odd spot of random colour, no boot sounds, I've left it for a few minutes and tried tapping around but get no feedback or sounds.
the device is not rooted, I cant imagine USB debugging is enabled as the previous user barley knew how to turn on mobile data....
what I want is the images from the devices internal memory before I flash the thing.
Now without debugging enabled, from what I've found out so far, I need to use ADB, I've looked around on line but cant find anything that doesn't assume I have some existing knowledge. I am by no means a completely useless with this stuff, but I haven't really gone further than installing custom ROMs.
Can anyone point me to a noob friendly guide or some step by step guide for this?

Hi,
This thread may help… but unfortunately, you'll need to learn as you go. Some basic know how is needed.

If that does not work for you, you could ask for other options here,

[Completed] [Q] Bricked Unbranded Tablet

Hi All,
I'm completely lost on this one, I want to get help with a bricked device but do not know what the device is, thus unsure where to ask.
I tried to flash CM10 onto the device, but now realise I got something very wrong as touch screen does not work.
Only buttons on device are volume or power, Seemingly i cannot find a combination of these that will go to bootloader, adb nor any other program i have tried will pick up the device, trying with UBUNTU 14.04 and Windows 7 both without success. Gets stuck on a screen telling me about compatibility zoom (all it needs is press ok to continue but touch screen unresponsive).
Its an unbranded 7 inch tablet with an Allwiner A10, attched should be all the photos needed for someone to work out what it is (i hope) as well as one before I broke it of its original ROM build. Has a mini usb connection on it for connecting to PC.
Worst case i want to flash the original ROM back on it, best case I get new fancy ROM working once I can establish which device it is.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I used to own an a7 and was able to find a few ROMs for that tab back when, I'm sure there is something out there for your device but be sure to only flash software meant for your device or there can be serious issues
A great place to ask for help will be in the general q&a forum found here

Best of luck!

[Completed] [Q] I've tried everything and looked everywhere

Hey everyone, I'm using a GT-P5100 (3G + Wifi) O2 UK rooted tablet and for the last month it has been broken. It started rebooting itself randomly every now and then, and then suddenly it wouldn't even boot up for 15 seconds before it would restart itself again.
I am able to get into safe mode and I can get into the boot options, but when I factory reset it does nothing, I've tried from the boot menu, from safe-mode options and even from the dial up code.
I tried to connect my tablet to my PC as a media device and format it but that didn't work either; I can't connect it as a disk then format it that way because they took out 'mass storage mode' on this firmware.
I then tried to flash a stock ROM in Odin but every time I tried it would fail until I used Odin.v1.3, but guess what, it rebooted itself and my entire tablet is still exactly the same.
(the option was on AP ram in v1.3 not AP nand I don't know if that makes a difference.)
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it so much. I have been trying for weeks to fix this and I just don't know what to do anymore, I tried on another forum but nobody answered me.
Hi,
This would be best posted in your device section so the experts who own your device can help. I will request this be moved to here,
> Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 > Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Make sure kies is not running to use Odin. End all kies processes in your task manager on the pc.
Good luck!
Thank you very much I have posted it there instead ^^
Thank you. Thread closed.

[Completed] GALAXY TAB 2 GT-P5113, Totalled

Hey guys, I hope you can point me in the right direction.
My son decided that he wanted to try and root his Galaxy using Odin. Nothing I would ever tell him not to do, but he is young and never fully reads through the directions of a good root process before beginning. It started off with a problem of only booting to a frozen battery icon, and never going any further. It would not even let you turn the phone completely off. It would simply reboot back to the battery sign which didn't budge. So he had the brilliant idea of trying Odin again, except this time, he left the Delete Partition checkmarked. While going through the process, his computer lost power, and of course the process was interrupted. Only now, the Galaxy Tab will not turn on at all. When we plug the tab into the computer, Windows states that the USB device is not recognized. However it will let us in to the device file folder structure, although everything is empty. Is there anything that can be done with this machine, or is it simply Totalled?
Thanks for any help you can point me to.

[Completed] Hard brick

I have a i9063t and apparently it's hard bricked. I won this a couple months ago and it had a problem very annoying of reseting alone all the time, mostly when I was in the middle of something important. I tried to put it back to factory but it didn't fix the problem. So I tried to fix it thinking "This may be a software problem, since it has no official update, I'll put a custom rom in it!" ... Installed Odin, Kies, wiped to factory, put it download mode, connected and chose a rom that apparently worked for this device. Then something happened. Odin just crashed, and my phone it's stuck in the samsung logo. It doesn't go to download mode anymore neither recovery mode! When I turn it on it goes to the logo or the charging animation if it's plugged. Odin doesn't recognize it anymore since it doesn't go to download mode. I'm really desperate for this, is my only phone and I have no money for a new one or technical assistance (will cost me almost a new one) and I really need it (and feel pretty stupid that I've bricked it). I've tried a lot of tutorials but all of them requires download mode. I've also read somewhere that all the bricks may have a solution, some are simple, but some are funky. I really really need help here. This ! is always on top. Anything you may know is helpful, please.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
Unfortunately, when your device can not access the recovery or download mode, your phone may not be able to be repaired by the user. You may be able to use the Emergency Firmware recovery in Kies to restore your phone to stock firmware, that's only if it can detect your device. Maybe a mobile service center can restore it back to life, but they do charge quite a bit depending on where you live.
Alternatively, you can register a XDA account and post in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum so that someone else may be able to help you out.
Good Luck! - gsstudios

[Completed] Need help with LG Max X155

My problem started with changing my Screen DPI using an app, I accidentally set the dpi to a low number . that made my screen smaller and the icons to get bigger, in short I can click on anything. Phone is practically unusable now. My phone is Rooted but I don't remember if I had USB debugging on. My PC Can't detect my phone on ADB Tried installing and uninstalling with no luck. I can connect using Fastboot Mode though. and for the recovery method, My phone only displays an Android with his Belly open and a big red exclamation mark on top of it. I desperately need help. I know I can fix this by just flashing a stock rom but I can't find any online, theres also no Custom Rom that supports my phone model. so Please help, I tried everything I could.
