[APP][4.0+] Say "Call me later" to reject call - Android Apps and Games

Voice Call Reject
Imagine a situation where your phone is ringing, but
- your hands are busy or dirty
- you are driving a car
- you lie in bed and do not want to get up )
Now you can say 'Call me later' to reject incoming calls.
This app works offline! And still there are no advertisements
It is successfully tested on Android 4.0, 4.1, 5.0 and 6, with one and dual sim cards. For some reasons it doesn't work on Samsung with Android 4.2.2.
If you have any creative suggestions or any difficulties with the app, please send us an email. Also we would like to hear your thoughts in comments: what would you like to see in future versions?
Our team hopes that you will like this app! Have a nice day!
Kindest Regards,
Gulaxoft Apps team

If you search in the Development and Hacking threads on XDA there is a tool called, IIRC, Call Firewall, which might be what you are looking for.

Looks like it simply rejects the call. If that is the case, the caller will be sent to my voicemail and I still have to delete it afterwards.
Call Bouncer is better. It accepts the call and hang up. No voicemail.
However, there is a problem I think would appear in all these programs. At times, I got a ring (or half a ring) before it is caught by Call Bouncer. I found this rather annoying.
Is there any apps out there that silents selected incoming calls instead of rejecting them?
Sometimes I don't want them to know I'm rejecting their calls, just that I wasn't around to receive them.

I have the impression that pocket call bouncer has an option to reject (accept and hang up) or ignore (turn of ringing). Give it a try. I've used it on HD2 but I don't like it because at times the phone rings once before the bouncer can take action.
Magicall does all that. It can:
1) reject (send to voicemail)
2) drop
3) pick up and hold
4) ignore (no ringing is sounded while caller keeps waiting)
5) handle incoming SMS
You can also set it to automatically send SMS to callers.

my most excellent buds.. the programs are all reactive stuff.. something has to happen for the programs to do something.
If you really want to let the person think you just didn't pick up his call, then just simply copy a silent ringtone and use it as a custom ringtone for the person... you'll never "hear" from him/her again.
And.. it just takes 30s to turn off voicemail.. I mean, you wouldn't want the person to wonder why is it that you have voicemail and he/she wasn't diverted there?

Just replying moooxooom's statement that we should use a silent ringtone for all callers. Sometimes it takes just a little bit more thinking to capture all the usual scenarios.
Cool call management app - my recommendation
I use HTC Diamond 2 and recently came across a cool call management and call blocking app XBLOCKR. I first downloaded the Lite version from Microsoft Marketplace and was quite impressed. It has a great feature "Do Not Disturb" and alas it is not available in the Lite version that I was using. I contacted them through their website as they sell it for $ 19.95 which I feel is a reasonable price, but thought of bargaining
They gave me a code and I purchased it for $ 14.95.
It's a great app if anybody is looking for something different than call blocker apps. It gives you options to handle your call when it arrives as well you can pre-program. I am very happy having it on my Diamond. Check it out as they have a 100 call trial version with all the features.

The readme for Call Bouncer states that it ignores the same as Call Firewall does, this sending the caller over to your voicemail. The developers site for it is at http://www.ipocketpc.net/applications/Category32-Utilities.aspx (scroll down to it) to see if this is the same Call Bouncer you are talking about.

Viber vs Tmo Wifi Calling

So I'm curious to know if any of you TmoUS people have tried Viber? If so, how does it compare with the Tmo wifi call app? Good and bad points of each? I'll probably at least try Viber and see for myself, just wanted some other opinions.

Only thing I can tell is that this is more related to skype than the wifi app. You can only call for free, from viber to viber, like skype. The added incentive is that you can text for free using this app. Not bad for free, but I wouldn't view this as a replacement for the tmo wifi calling app.
Thanks, that clears up some confusion for me. I guess I won't be using it as my wife has a BB.

Actually let me kinda take it back. Viber to non viber users are allowed and can be made, it'll just be a regular call using your minutes like tmo wifi app.
This is from their faq
Can I call people who don't have Viber?
Yes, if the person you're calling doesn't have Viber, the call will be placed like *regular call, but don't forget to invite your friends to Viber so your next call is free .
*Regular calls are calls placed through your cell phone service provider, using your cell phone rate plan.
Well I decided to try it out, seems to work pretty well so far but I've only used it a couple times today. I may be tricking myself into believing it but I really think it sounded clearer than when I'm on the Tmo wifi app, but I'll have to experiment and turn off viber and turn on the wifi app back to back to really compare them. Since it's free I think it's a terrific deal, I'm a little surprised more people aren't talking about it. The only reason I found it was somebody in a thread mentioned it.

+1.
Viber doesn't work on ICS ... when will there be an update for that ?
thanks
We are well aware of the great anticipation for Viber on ICS, and we apologize for the delay.
As you know, many fundamental changes were made on ICS (not only visual improvements). In order to adapt Viber to ICS the best way and make sure we don't release a half-baked app, we need some time for developing and testing.
Our development team is working around the clock to complete it ASAP. We apologize for the delay, but it's important to understand that it's delayed because we want to ensure that the app is released free of bugs. We still don't have an exact estimate for the release date, but naturally - it won't take months.
Once we have news, I'll post it in the relevant threads here on XDA

That's a bit of an overstatement, actually it's very much an overstatement. Yes, ICS is available for many high end phones now but I wouldn't say MOST have switched, and are there any carriers at all that have officially switched yet???
My main question about Viber is this: does it automatically use a wifi signal if one is available? For instance, if I am in my basement and do not have a cell signal but am connected to wifi, will Viber allow me to receive an incoming call from a Non-viber user?
@kingston73 -
I'm not sure I fully understand your question..
Viber provides calls/texts only between 2 Viber users to begin with.
OK, so this is what I'm confused about:
"Can I call people who don't have Viber?
Yes, if the person you're calling doesn't have Viber, the call will be placed like *regular call, but don't forget to invite your friends to Viber so your next call is free .
*Regular calls are calls placed through your cell phone service provider, using your cell phone rate plan."
I have tmo's wifi calling app turned off but I'm still able to make and receive calls down in my basement when connected to my home network, so I guess I'm asking if Viber is allowing me to do that or if it's basically useless unless the person I'm talking to also has it.
In order to make a call or send Viber texts, Viber requires 2 things -
Both sides have to have Viber installed, and both sides need to be connected to the internet.
If both conditions are not met, then Viber switches to make a regular (cellular) call, the same as you would manually go to your cellular dial and call that friend.
Thanks for the explanation, but my original question is still unanswered, what could be allowing me to make calls when I don't have a cell signal? I'm not complaining, really just curious to know what is going on.
Not Viber
If you're down at your basement, with neither cell signal nor WiFi connection, Viber cannot help you.
Viber will help you if you were in your basement, you were connected to WiFi, and the other side also had Viber installed with *some* kind of internet connection.

So if u call someone with wi-fi, and the "other side" doesn't have data/wifi on it changes into a regular cell-call?
And another question: if u send a message through viber with wi-fi on, and the other side doesn't have mobile data on, will the message arrive when they have turned on data again, or will it send through the cell-network?
Thanks! (Can't wait for ICS version )
First question -
It depends on whether or not that "other side" has Viber installed (in general) or not. If they do, the call will me made, and that users will have a "Missed Call" notification when he goes back online. If they don't have Viber at all, you will have a pop-up window asking your permission to switch to a regular, cellular call.
Second question -
Yep, they will see the message when they go back online (again - assuming those are Viber users to begin with).
ICS -
Coming soon, we're doing our best..

[APP] Anonymous Call Rejection

Hey XDA-Freaks!
Ever heard of the service called Anonymous Call Rejection (ACR)? A really useful feature.. if it is offered by your service provider. Over here in Germany it seems like only T-Mobile and O2 offer it, unfortunately Vodafone currently doesn't. That sucks.
Hence my question: Do you know of a software that would answer calls with suppressed number without letting me hear the ringtone and outputting a voice message to the anonymous caller telling "Your Caller ID is hidden. This person does not want anonymous calls. Please unhide your number and try again.."?
Drop suggestions and I'll smile for you.
Maybe this will do the job

I am not sure if it works in your country or not, but their is a voicemail service called youmail that I have used in the past. I had it set up so that it would ring a few times, and my voice mail would say "this number has been disconnected" and it would hang up. It only did this on numbers not in my contacts, or no caller id numbers.
From what I remember it had the option to ditch these numbers as well, but I am not sure if it would ring or not, as I have not used it in awhile.
Might be worth a try if not rooted.

Yes sure we can do it with both CM and RCB.
But we can only send those callers to another place (a disconnected phone perhaps).

So what exactly is the difference between "Call Master" and "Root Call Blocker"? Both don't seem to be able to output a custom voice message to callers telling them why they where rejected. Not even the PRO version has the requested feature..
I use RCB and its great. Doesnt have the custom voice rejection youre looking for. Its more to block a caller and not having your phone ring. I use alternative rejection method. And that makes the caller think i picked up right away and hangs up quick. Without letting them go to voicemail. They have about 5 rejection methods.

I don't think this is an app problem, because the app just reads the log to discover a forwarded call, and has nothing to do with the forwarding settings..

2) Where is the enable/disable service switch that was present in 1.0 ? Can't find it.
How can I switch it off easily?
3) +1000 to the above suggestion to find a way to mark the forwarded calls after they ended ringing.

Hello,
Great app !!
Installed on Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, with Lolillop 5.0.2.
I've no notification when the phone is locked.
If the phone is unlocked, the notification appears.
+1 to have a mark of the forwarded calls after they ended ringing.
Thanks
Is it my rom or does Android 5.1 already include the feature to show forwarded calls?
Worked on my Xperia Z C6602 android 4.2.2
It would be great if you make it in a way that no rooting be ever necessary . . . or developer options.
It's better to make the message box much bigger . . . or resizable.
I also installed the driver from developer.sonymobile.com
Thaaaaaaaaaaaanks man ....
Had hard time thought. Try it 10-20 times but didnt give up.
Finally i made it work on my Note 4 N910C unroot.
Install latest drivers and work with usb debugging on.
Works even with the screen locked ....

Gear S3 with non-samsung phone Questions

Some question I wish to know as I'm planning to buy Gear S3 Frontier in the future.
For example, I'm using Huawei Mate 9.
1. I'm confused in people saying making call and receiving SMS don't work, and some say work, exactly which one is true? Is it that you can accept call but can't start call from the watch?
2. Any one that uses What's App, Wechat, Hangout, specially Facebook Messenger etc, are you able to do reply to these apps(like in notification area)? Like not only the quick message, to be able to type manually on watch and reply (Voice or Keyboard)?
3.In relation to question 2, how well it work with remote connection?
Thanks.
I have a Pixel and a Pixel XL. I can initiate and answer calls fine on my non-LTE S3. I can start and respond to messages as well. I haven't tried the other apps you mentioned.
I'm on a htc 10, lineage OS and I'm unable to initiate calls or send SMS with s voice
I have HTC ONE M8, answer to both of your questions is yes it's working fine, connected via Bluetooth, phone calls sms replying as well as initiate call or sms. WhatsApp and other can receive and reply but cannot initiate new message.
(Didn't tested when connected to same WiFi network.)

Ah that's good to know. As for what's app or facebook messenger. Reply is all I need. Hardly initiate message on watch.
Thanks guys. Good to know it's working well with other phone.
Two more things I wish to know.
1. If I accepted a call with watch, can I redirect it to phone directly on watch or I have to manually go to phone and choose to not use Bluetooth in that caller screen?
2. If I have a Bluetooth headset connected to my phone for example. I answer call using watch but can the call go through headset instead? What if i accepted the call using the Bluetooth headset button instead of watch. Will the audio re route properly?
Thanks

I am using Xperia Z5 initiate calls works fine from watch by finding contact and tapping phone icon on watch, using s-voice its very hit and miss. Can initiate texts from watch by going to contact and tapping the envelope button, initiating texts with s-voice requires samsung phone ('send text message to xxxx' gives 'sms service is unavailable) can reply to texts, etc but only while notification is present, after notification cleared have to start from scratch. Can't help enough as not tested in detail.
In Bluetooth settings headset gives both options for phone audio and music
But watch gives only phone audio (so music sound can't come from watch, only music control possible)
And
If I select phone and music both for Bluetooth headset, then watch disconnect by itself as it wants phone audio.

Btw. When you set the reminder, are you able to set for example. Today February 1. And I wish to remind myself to buy something on February 3. Can I do that? I hear it's strictly within the day only.
How many languages to the watch support tho? Does it support Japanese by any chance?
Does it have auto brightness?
I can say now that I went back to full stock rom, everything is working fine now. I can make and answer calls. I wished someone had told me earlier. I been calling Samsung support for days and they havent been anymore useful then the manual, telling me I needed the lte model to answer calls
On my mate 9, I can Not make a call through the watch neither reply to message text... Things I was able to do with my S6.
Probably due to emui and his special dialer.
But I can read SMS and email anyway

Oh Dang. The inability to make a call due to mate 9 might be deal breaker. Are you able to view incoming caller name/number and accept call? Had you try third party dailer to see if it work? Since you have mate 9 and gear s3. Are the reply options from notification work? Like manually type or hand writing reply incoming What's app, hangout and Facebook messenger. And also, do the music player remote control work with stock music player? Do it display the current track playing properly?
Thanks
Just to be clear, there are two versions of the Frontier, one has an LTE radio. The LTE model is able to handle calls, texts, and run apps like Spotify without being connected to a phone. The BT model must be tethered to a phone in order to do these functions. Both models need to be connected (via BT or cellular) to a phone in order for notifications (ie. Hangouts, email) to pass through.

I know this question was from weeks ago but as I also have a S3 with a Mate 9, maybe I can help a little bit:
Everything works, including getting all notifications and asnwering them from the watch, and making and receiving calls in the watch. I have the S3 BT only model. My Mate 9 is with stock rom. Samsung Gear Manager working perfectly.
I have just one issue: sometimes, when I make a call using the phone, the call is automatically routed to the watch, without my permission, and it seems there is not any configuration or parameter to force all calls to not be routed to the watch. Of course it is easy to bring the call back to the phone (using the BT button in the dial), but as I initiated the call from the phone, it should not be redirected to the watch at the beginning. And this is something that happens eventually, not allways. It seems to be some kind of bug. I read about the same issue in other threads (S3 with other non-Samsung phones) here in XDA but could not find a definitive solution yet. If somebody can help on this, I would appreciate.

I'm using a Pixel XL as well and I'm planning to buy one. What limitations do you encounter when pair to the Pixel? Samsung Pay is also one of my reasons to buy this. Is it fully functional?
UPDATE:
Samsung Pay fully functional. But there are limitations if you use Gear S3 with non Samsung phone and BT headset (mine is Level U Pro ANC).
1. Call profile could only be activated either on the watch or level u pro, but not both simultaneously. If you choose to keep call profile on BT headset, you can use the headset for calling, but you cannot initiate call or answer call from watch. If you choose to keep call profile on watch, you cannot use BT headset for calling. That's also the case with car BT.
2. You can receive and reply to SMS on watch. But initiating SMS is a different story. No built in SMS so on watch so you can use watchface with messages shortcut to initiate sms, BUT all sms you initiate thru the watch WILL NOT REFLECT on the sms thread on the phone itself (Android Messages).
3. You cannot see your SMS history as well.
