Hi,
I am thinking to buy Mediapad M2, but I cannot find if it is possible to create multiple user accounts and restricted profile on this device.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you mean the Mediapad M2 vs X2? This is a different device. M2 is 8 inch, X2 is 7 inch. This forum is the X2 forum.
Anyway, for the X2 at least, seems like EMUI 3.0.5 does not support all the Android 5.0 features, so it seems at this time, the multiple users feature is not supported. It is not mentioned at all in the User Guide from the huawei support. I saw this device is on the roadmap for Android 6.0, so maybe they will add this feature? Who knows...

Does anyone have a list of XDA developers participating in the Honor/XDA partnership? I would love to know that the project has been taken up. It's a huge deal to see another OEM have development.
I don't think there is any yet.
There is a slow way to do this:
1. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/Honor , this link will display all Honor devices fourms
2. Check one by one in ROM section to find out...
But this will not include those without a dedicated forum, like Honor 4x.

I‘m a fans of Huawei, my first smart phone is Huawei G510, at that time I don't have to much money. And now I'm using Honor 6, and I think some days later, I wil buy Honor 8 or P9.

Honor 8 is a decent phone, actually all HUAWEI 2015 and later phones are good ones. But the only issue now with HUAWEI is its own Kirin processer which has no open source/proper documentation. This closes doors to most developers and cut users from future upgrades if HUAWEI ceases to provde system update.

The new Honor + XDA partnership is exactly to address that limitation that other brands have - So developers can have full support to create ROMs

Watssssssss up?!
Hey pal you are the only one who replied; so tanx. Eventually I discovered that GT3 is GR5 mini which is the new design of P9 Lite of 2016 (let's keep it a secret" . As a PERSIAN proverb says "When A Mystery Gets Solved Gets Easy!". So just do what ever you do for rooting P9 lite for rooting GT3 - Gr5 mini.
But about your Inquiry :EVERYTHING is great exept microphone, The mic is terrible.
FingerPrint Scanner is EXTRAORDINARYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.
Thanks. The Huawei is a good brand but confused about the phones model and names... Apparently it changes the names in diferentes countries...
Did you discover custom ROMs for the GT3? Have you information about official update for nougat?
This phone in my country is 70€ less than the p9 lite...
30$

Hey there everybody. I’m new to the community but have tinkered here and there with android devices over the years. I recently picked up a Huawei Mediapad T3 8 KOB-W09 not to be confused with the Mediapad KOB-L09 which is the LTE version. Im currently on firmware 7.0 and the build number is KOB-W09C100B252 but the only stock firmware I can find online I have to pay for, my issue isn’t with that but rather it is the update of my current firmware. I have a pending update available with the build number W09C100B252_B255. The update from easy firmware I believe was W09C100B255. Please if someone could help me or possibly point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. So far 40 hours later I’ve almost gone bald from sheer stress.
Hi guys,
Bit frustrated here, I've got a new Huawei P20 Pro but I'm having issues transferring Android over from my Pixel(1) XL -
The Huawei seems to have some kind of Phone Transfer app, but it hasn't seemed to work properly.
Is there not an app that does all this crap?
When I got the Pixel, it asked me if I had an old Android, I plugged both phones together and it sucked literally everything off the old phone, including desktop backgrounds, ringtones, the lot, including all my mp3 files and pics etc!
Why can't the P20 do this as well? It's Android isn't it?
I've even tried searching on my Google Drive for a Backup that is there when I look at if on the Pixel ("Pixel XL Backup") but not there when I look on the P20!
So I've looked about a bit on the net, and the Pixel is Android 9 P and the P20 is Android 8.1.0 O - which is probably why the P20 can't see the Backup?
Please can someone help me, do I really have to wait for the P20 to get it's Android P update? When will that be? ?
There MUST be an easier way to do this?
Any help massively appreciated..

It's probably a feature that Pixel XL supports but Huawei P20 Pro doesn't support. Not all devices support the same things, even if the devices have the exact same android version. Devices have different hardware and different kernels, the hardware and the kernel are what decide which hardware/software features are supported or not.

Hey there,
I recently posted here about looking for a new phone on a budget. I'm happy to say that after a few weeks I've narrowed down my options to a shortlist of 10, using gsmarena to compare specs. I'm now at a point where I need to fill in the final gaps, but I'm unable to do so without an intimate knowledge of the devices, Android or the Android rooting scene, none of which I have, so so am at the mercy of the community for any further help.
I need to know whether each of the below phones satisfies two specific criteria.
These are the phones that I'm looking at:
- Honor 8
- Honor 8X
- Honor 9 Lite
- Honor 9
- Honor Play
- Huawei P20 Lite
- Motorola Moto G6
- Moto G6 Play
- Motorola Moto G5S
- Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite
For each of them, I'd like to know...
1. Whether it supports split-screen multitasking. Odd as it sounds, one of my biggest reasons for moving to Android is the ability to use YouTube while using other apps, so the phone I buy needs to support it. Based on my research, I have a feeling this is entirely independent of hardware, and that all of these phones should support a high enough Android version to use split-screen, but I'd like to confirm this.
2. The state of the modding/rooting community for the device; how much the phone supports modding and how active the community around it is. The other reason for moving to Android is the ability to customise things to my heart's content, based on the criteria outlined here. Does the phone in question support Magisk, TWRP, Treble, ElementalX? Are there any modding-related that I should know about it?
Once in again, thanks to anyone who's read through this properly and can answer these questions, it's much appreciated.
Thanks
