Ok guys here is a very basic status bar theme. Below are some example of images I have changed. The signal icons work for 4,5 and 6 bars. In the Moar Mod Control please set under Notification Panel/Header Preferences/Header global color to on and set Pulldown Global Color to #FFFFFFFF or pure white. This will give the original colors designed into the mod. If you wish you can change those colors by adjusting the color to whatever you wish. No promise how they will look if you do so. In order to see the colored icons in the pulldown you Also need to modify under Notification Panel/Toggle Options/Choose Toggle Style you must select Custom. If there is an interest in this theme then I will continue to do more. So please give me some feedback and if you like it, please hit the thanks button.
Install Instructions
1. Download, check md5 and copy to phone.
2. Boot into recovery and install the zip. A wipe is up to you, as I have not been doing so.
3. Reboot and enjoy and leave some feedback.
4. Please read the large paragraph above for settings in Moar Control App.

Very nice.
Just so you know, the flashlight isn't really an icon, it's a vector drawable graphic. I've thought about converting it to a regular drawable but there isn't any code for that in the quickpanel toggle smali either right now either.

Not sure why i flashed it several times but when it reboots none of the new changes are there. Just the same stock icons . What am i missing? Ive also noticed programs ive had installed are no longer installed and have to be installed. Not sure why

What setting do you have set in the Moar Control app. In order to see the blue icons designed in the mod the control app must be set to #FFFFFFFF., which is white. There is nothing in the zip you flashed that would delete any of your installed apps. For the icons in the pulldown you must select under Notification Panel/Toggles Settings/Choose Toggle Style. Select the Custom option. What apps are now missing?
Keep me posted as to if you find what happen. As there is no reason what you described to have happened unless it is one in a million flukes.

Sorry I missed this post yesterday. The answer is no, installed themes do not affect most of the settings and icons in the status bar. Or at least not one I have tried. Go back 1 or 2 post and read what I advised another person to do. You probably did not set the global color to white and also did not change to custom icons in the notification panel.

Well one part has to be set to white. You still have to select custom and as it says, must be set to white. Later I will review the install instructions and see if can't make clearer. Thanks for the feedback

More coming your way. Did some icon changes in framework. Still have 60% left to do in that apk. Also making some changes in the settings apk. I plan to post today or today what I have so far just so I can feedback. So check back late this evening or tomorrow.

what do you mean by you cant keep it dark?.. what image editor are you using?.. i use photoshop cs6 and the only tools i use are color replacement tool and paint bucket tool and some other adjustment tools... im about to finish my black theme and i flashed the sysUI yesterday and its black like it should be....
it should also work for you since you have bases.. you'll just have to resize and edit...

Looks good, Darkman's Rom N8000-XXCMB2-XACMB2-deodexed. But looks bad dark font on a dark background in some sections of Settings, e.g. such as Display - Wallpapper. And in the settings Home Screen items are not visible.

my settings is white text on blue background.. i can see it. In the homescreen mines is black on black but i dont know how to change it without messing up my black theme..

I like it but its just a little too dark for my set up. If it were the same color as my icons (that lighter blue) I'd be able to see my status bar icons and I'd be all over it. Thanks for providing us some options !!

Thanks. The clock app I themed is an older version, until I can update it you need to uninstall updates and choose the app to not auto-update in playstore.

To OP, do you think you can mod the viper rom systemui or stock att systemui for me? I installed your mod, but the eqs is gone. I just want the 3minit battery mod. I also tried to decompile the systemui.apk, I got error even using apktool 2.xx. Please help. If you are ok, I will upload the systemui.apk from viper 4.4.3 rom. thanks again.

it took some searching but I finally found it - thanks - will check this out. Wish it was easier to find themes on Theme Store. No easy way to search that I can find - am I missing something or do you just have to scroll thru all the themes to find the one you like? It is getting pretty unmanagable... I didn't think to search by Most recent - dummy me - but it would be nice if you could search by name...

But I cannot find the link to the "theme store" itself.

Thanks a lot, finally found the theme store BUT all I see there are launcher themes
and icons for the touchwiz launcher.
I did not see that black dialer screen or any other parts of that black theme.
Here is what I mean, I am looking to find the black theme like the screenshot below
of the dialer which sooty posted which would also contain matching black themed
screens for the other parts of the phone like contacts, settings messaging and other
stock screens of the phone.
So I guess that the theme store is only for those people who want to use and theme
their stock touchwiz launcher, it's icons and nothing else.
I don't even use the touchwiz launcher but I would love to get that black dialer screen
which sooty posted along with all the other matching black themed parts of the phone.
What I am looking for is a complete dark/black background theme which includes a dialer
similar to the one which sooty posted. Why he posted the dialer screenshot I will never know.

Download and install the theme and you get those to see all of the theme tap on a theme in the store then you can scroll through the screenshots of it

Can someone put a link here for complete black theme. Its confusing & takes time to search.
EDIT: ok i found it. Very nice theme. Has any one tried on NOTE4 or will it work on note 4 by any means??

Comps look amazing, actual theme is not impressive at all. Thanks for the update though, obviously this theme is just not for me.
The theme looks much different when its installed vs the mockup the OP included in his post... all that time searching for the theme, and was disappointed.

I loaded the Material Dark theme that I used on my S7 Edge, and overall it looks good. Only thing that bugs me is the navigation bar color changes based on the app, from black to gray to transparent.
Okay, feels like a dumb question (I *am* finally upgraded to S8+ from Note4) - but where do I activate dark themes (non-root)? Tons of garbage in the play store, but I'd think it'd be built into Android 7 (been promised it for years)... any guidance appreciated.

Was about to test it, Had it also on my S7E.
But seems that some new designers are on the block, one for example is "Aire". might be worth checking it out. I'm testing the sd_black. not bad for the moment.

Long press an empty spot on the launcher /select wallpapers and theme/go to theme section in theme store/search for terms like material or dark.

OMG this pisses me off so much. I wish the user could decide the color and have it STAY that color. Aside from when it goes full transparent on the home screen or during media content. I use the Google keyboard with a dark theme and the white nav bar looks hideous.

Get NavBar app from the play Store and change the color to black
Added navbar plus this theme, still have annoying white on 'enter message' box in messages.
Also I'm hoping to have real dark theme, ie so that gmail is dark not white.
Any suggestion for either?

Yup, totally black, just like how I've set my windows machine (ie Visual studio).
Almost there, but still have a few random notification spots and above keyboard bars.

Yeah. I ended up switching to Samsung's high contrast theme. Wish they'd just do a black version stock theme like the one in the themes section.

The high contrast theme is nice, but I'd prefer the theme to have different messaging bubbles colors. If the messaging colors were black and orange (or some other color/ not pastel) rather than just black, it would be perfect.
I use a dark theme called MetalLine. Check it out in the theme store.

1st is background color for navigation bar, they forgot to put the colors, all of them are white.
2nd is if you don't want full screen on the app like nova launcher. It has an ugly text "tap here to full screen" although this problem doesn't exist. The only solution is to go full screen with nova launcher. I don't mind losing the navigation button nova, but I'd like to see the status bar.
BTW, TouchWiz doesn't have this problem.
Anyone find a way to fix this?

I heard about the color issue. Didn't know about Nova. Thank goodness it told me my battery was too low before I updated

The immersive mode do not smart enough but at least it is there. Finally now all games in full screen.
For the dot not appear in stock home launcher, so I am very ok with it. Others launcher I don't think Samsung going to do it.
Navigation color options reduce do is stupid but at least now 99% apps follow color set. Now I already remove the navigation colour apps. I prefer white and now at least it is proper white.
well, the navbar immersive mode in the last update is smarter than native hiding with ADB command line before, because this immersive mode does not allow overlaps for navigation keys when swiping up in any app.
ADB command line immersive mode made these overlaps though.

I have latest update and using Nova Prime.
After reading your post i check my
Full screen, statusbar etc.
I do not have such issues as what you described.? with Nova.
Did you in Nova settings /Look and feel /
set setting to "show...."

Thank you very much. It was the "dark icon option causing the status bar to hide. So I turned it off and pinned the navigation bar. It's now back to normal.

1st problem the colours are there. But they are lighter... On my default them it looks better.. I can see in your pic the light shades.
2nd problem. I agree.. Noticed same issue.. Using Nova as well so wonder if it's an update issue or a Nova issue

Yes, but you may already have the app in full screen mode, like i do.
but if you press recents button and remove full screen from the app (gmail in this instance) then it goes back to the issue initially mentioned in the OP
I also have show notification bar turned on

if you want it black again just install emoji color navbar from the play store, you don't have to use emoji's choose the first, very easy

It's called Veggie Burger font. There is no flipfont for it or anything.
I made a flashable zip for it. You must flash in recovery.
This zip replaces the default font with Veggie Burger as its replacement

New Update gives FC and message UI has stopped on some apps
New Update gives FC and message UI has stopped on some apps for example Go Launcher at the startup and in Trials Frontier, Badland, Prince of Persia, Rainbow Web and the nav bar disappears. It seems this happens in every 3d accelerated app. No root at this time, only immersive mode enabled via ADB. I've erased the cache partition, the apps cache, the apps data, it does the same.
