Seeing as how no one answered my question in the camera thread I guess I have to make a post. Looking for a camera app that can capture raw photo's I tried using manual capture app but it somehow did not support raw capture. Dont want to keep on buying/refunding apps and triggering my bank.
*edit* and once again i made a thread in the wrong section ._.

Hi!
I know it's a stupid question, but how do I turn on the Front camera on Omnia without making a video call? So I could actually take a photo with it.
Thanks.
ts actuay a od questnon
long story short thopugh u cant
Yeah there is an exe somehwere in the Windows folder, can't remember what it is, try looking on:
http://omnia.modaco.com
There is basically a Omnia dev community there. Not as awesome as the one here though
Edit:
Unfortunately cannot be used for picture taking, just as a test. Why you would want to use that over the 5MP camera I don't know...
Oh. .. but is there maybe an application with witch help I would be able to use it?
use omniafrontcamera.exe here:
http://www.xtkit.com/archives/21
there is a simpler way, *#0*# then choose CIFCam
Try this one:
You can take photo with this.

Is there any way (hack) to make the camera shoot in 16x9 format?
Also, any way to have the camera upload automatically online (smugmug, in my specific case)?

I don't know about forcing 16x9 with the camera...there's probably third party camera apps that will let you.
For the automatic upload, there's an app called Tasker that sounds like it will let you do stuff like that. Modaco tweeted this just today:
Tasker IS the most amazing app ever. Whenever I think 'I wish I could do THIS' on my phone it has a way. Brilliant.

Thanks.
I looked at Tasker, but in the brief evaluation period I could not see a way to auto upload to smugmug, so i uninstalled it.
But I found an app named PicPush, which does exactly that: it pushes pics and movies you take with the phone to various sites, including smugmug.
Does anyone know of a good camera app which would do high res 16x9 photos, and also has a decent set of options? I didn't find anything I liked on Market.

Brief evaluation period? You mean the 15 minutes from the Market?
There's a week long eval period if you download and install from the dev's website. Moot point for you since you found another application, but others reading may be interested.
Sorry to ask this but I've search the other threads but all their questions were still unanswered...
I'm currently working on a fix in an unofficial cm7 ROM that i'm using. Problem is, when I take pictures and videos, they end up rotated 90 degrees to the right. in pictures, no big deal, I can rotate them in the gallery, but not videos. I've searched for answers in the web, almost all of it was in stackoverflow just like this link. If only I could do it myself, I would but I don't know where would I put these codes they're talking about. They said it's the surface of camera parameters. I've checked almost all of my decompiled Camera.apk but can't find what their talking about. If only anyone could help me fixing this prblem...
attached is my camera app..

Did I miss something or you can't capture RAW at original 108 mpx?
Hi you didn't miss anything. If you turn RAW on in the stock app, it automatically turns it off when you switch to 108mp mode.
However, @TF1920 is beavering away trying to get it all working. He's got all 5 lenses working in Open Camera although raw support is patchy at the minute.
