I was fidling around with the secsettings.apk on the s3 and failed to make a backup, I've been wandering the internet for a secsettings.apk for s3 (verizon) and Ive only gone through trial and error. Does anyone, by any chace, have a s3 secsetting.apk or help of any kind, without it, I am unable to access system settings.
I'm still new to xda, but I do have an s3. It's on 4.4.2. Just not sure how to share apk

I think I know one way if you're willing to help.
You can use root browser to go through system files, if you go to system/priv-app/ copy the secsettings.apk (and probably the secsettings.odex) you can copy them to your phone files.
I got that far, but when trying to add attachment it says it's too big a file

There should be both odex and apk in that drop box link. Let me know if it worked.

Hi dalvalle,
If you see the post at dualsim, you can see that we were able of install the Recovery + Root. That seems to be another version of Recovery. It's not seems to be the C3C076 version. Because the length of the img files is different in all of the cases.
Regardless of all this, I found a problem with txt files. And I don't know if its a big problem or not. That's the question I'm doing here.

I have root and will be happy to backup and send you a copy. I'm guessing that I need to unlock my bootloader and install a custom recovery first. I cant seem to locate information on unlocking the bootloader and where to get the correct CWM for this tablet. If you point me in the right direction I'll hook you up ?

Look in /mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod. Very odd place so I understand the confusion, I've never seen that before.

Nothing to test, cwm works and its a backup. I'll see if I can pull images and make a stock zip like I did for AOSP. So that if it's ever needed again it will be easier.
Also check earlier in the thread for the location that cwm backs up to. For some reason it isn't the standard location.

I get it to push everything via adb but it still shows "install untrusted" in cwm, and it fails everytime, i've tried everything! It's driving me bonkers...i've even pushes the zip/unzipped folder to the same location via rom toolbox pro, and still a no go. it doesnt show up in recovery also

After about 3,000 restarts and tons of BS here and there I FINALLY figured it out. It just randombly decided to shownup in the cwm recovery...got it loaded and im posting this on the new rom! Thanks guys...seriously..?i missed stock. And I feel as If this actuallly works faster? Lmao

If you are speaking to me, respectfully, no, I did not see a rooted form for g. Again, it's weird timing... Pm me for the img from my H81010g, just need to run that command in adb

I can confirm this root method works as of 20 minutes ago. Happily uploading all of my root apps now.
Is there an Odin flashable TWRP for the Galaxy Tab E T377T? I've soft bricked it and all I can find is an IMG file for TWRP.

I did this but I wasn't quick enough and the device rebooted. Now I'm stuck in a boot loop and can't boot to TWRP. What can I do to fix it?
Solved. I created a tar file myself and flashed with Odin. Rooted and running great!

cant get twrp, i used odin!
Does anyone have a stock image (.tar file)? I flashed TWRP and it worked fine. I rooted with Magisk (which worked) and then screwed up by installing Xposed. I tried a factory reset and it didn't work and now I think I need the stock image.
I also need firmware . Tar for tm377t tmobile tablet e series 8 inches.

Do you have OEM Unlock checked in Developer Options? If you're flashing successfully in Odin, you should be able to reboot directly to TWRP afterwards. You'll have to reflash though if you booted into Android because it overwrites the custom recovery with stock. Maybe trying flashing again then booting straight to recovery holding volume up, power and home button.

I have to root my new Samsung Tab E, I lost my rooted Samsung Tab E, someone stoled it from work, luckily it's locked with code and app lock with pattern, plus I remote erased everything.

I have been trying to get it but i suck at poking around in those files. I tried 3x and bootloop everytime. Do i copy the 3 files from my framework apk to the one u sent and what do i need to do to my services.jar and core?
*In other news* We should team up on some stuff man. U seem way better at editing framework than me. Wanna help make the edge screen services.jar edits? It involves adapting code to existing code but its a guess and check mess. I ask for help from everyone and its hopeless so far..
Yes used your 3 files from the original stock apk before you did any modding to your system. But make sure they from system to system framework to framework and settings to settings. And I'm looking into edge now since I have the stock from fully deodex which increase our framework because before framework wasn't deodex all the way

You have to edit service jar and core jar to disable signature check. That way you can install any app I almost got this nougat stock system root instead of systemless be using FX. What ever I can help with I'm in. I do a lot of it on my phone with aik mobile and icode
