I have downloaded the next file: ThL_W8_beyond.JB2.FHD.EN.COM8P128_MT6589TV1.0.2_20 130626 (W8 Beyond International) from the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2237779
That file, has a TXT file (TXT1): MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt
And, I have dowloaded the same file from: http://www.needrom.com/mobile/thl-w8-beyond-2/
(TXT2): MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt
And there are differences between these files:
TXT1 :__NODL_FAT 0x234f80000
TXT2 :__NODL_FAT 0x134f80000
What's the correct txt file?

Hi, I saw your msg here and in dualsim, we have similar problem due I couldn't install the recovery with the build ...130626 downloaded from xda.
Let's see if we get it!

Hi dalvalle,
If you see the post at dualsim, you can see that we were able of install the Recovery + Root. That seems to be another version of Recovery. It's not seems to be the C3C076 version. Because the length of the img files is different in all of the cases.
Regardless of all this, I found a problem with txt files. And I don't know if its a big problem or not. That's the question I'm doing here.

Hi, got some dead pixels and need to unroot and unlock my tab + flash stock. I have UK 32 wifi version. (non 3g)
Any help + files would be great, cant seem to find exactly what I need searching, I have an idea what to do but need it reaffirming.

ok so i drop into fastboot with usb debugging enabled prior, i load my command prompt pointing to platform tools, I copy the images downloaded from motodev in there to and then i run the command.
Fails at firs command:
FAILED (status read failed (too many links)) - HELLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPP !!!!

Not mine, but a good one.
I was fidling around with the secsettings.apk on the s3 and failed to make a backup, I've been wandering the internet for a secsettings.apk for s3 (verizon) and Ive only gone through trial and error. Does anyone, by any chace, have a s3 secsetting.apk or help of any kind, without it, I am unable to access system settings.
I'm still new to xda, but I do have an s3. It's on 4.4.2. Just not sure how to share apk

I think I know one way if you're willing to help.
You can use root browser to go through system files, if you go to system/priv-app/ copy the secsettings.apk (and probably the secsettings.odex) you can copy them to your phone files.
I got that far, but when trying to add attachment it says it's too big a file

There should be both odex and apk in that drop box link. Let me know if it worked.

Update:
but its not working. First i fastboot all 4 files (system,boot,cust and recovery), Phone is starting.
Then 3-Button "dload" is cancel with not compatible
*#*#2846579#*#* and info says always:
Hardware Version: DAVINCE_701L_01
Bootloader: DAV-703LC233B209_Fastboot <------------ ???
Kernel: DAV-701LV100R001C100B002_BOOT
How can i change the bootloader ? I think this is the boot.img ?

No i can download and install fine, but when i reboot, it freezes up. What is gearutils? No, i havent modded my system UI yet

I will send you my system and settings apk and framework just use mixpoler to explore without decompiling the apk and copy and paste 3 file from your orginals apk and it should work

just paste your META-INF ,SEC-INF,AndroidManifest files from your orginal stock rom and it should work

I have been trying to get it but i suck at poking around in those files. I tried 3x and bootloop everytime. Do i copy the 3 files from my framework apk to the one u sent and what do i need to do to my services.jar and core?
*In other news* We should team up on some stuff man. U seem way better at editing framework than me. Wanna help make the edge screen services.jar edits? It involves adapting code to existing code but its a guess and check mess. I ask for help from everyone and its hopeless so far..
Yes used your 3 files from the original stock apk before you did any modding to your system. But make sure they from system to system framework to framework and settings to settings. And I'm looking into edge now since I have the stock from fully deodex which increase our framework because before framework wasn't deodex all the way

You have to edit service jar and core jar to disable signature check. That way you can install any app I almost got this nougat stock system root instead of systemless be using FX. What ever I can help with I'm in. I do a lot of it on my phone with aik mobile and icode
