Lollipop[5.1]+xposed causing process launching and input bugs - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I recently tried using a few [5.1.x] ROMs, and as habit I always install xposed with them. The xposed(experimental [5.1] version) and its modules worked flawlessly,no problems at all. But every time, after a few minutes (or hours) of boot, the phone misbehaves with the following consistent symptoms:-
1) The back and the menu buttons stop working. However the Home button still continues to work. Software keys also work.
2) The keyboard stops popping up (Default Google keyboard, Anysoft Keyboard, Google voice keyboard). Task manager shows none of these processes being created after that point. This happens sometimes even during typing when the keyboard disappears and wont show up until I restart my phone.
3) Clicking on any of the icons doesnt create the process, i.e. the app wont launch after the misbehaving symptoms have started.
The only way to solve this is to restart, but the problem returns after a few minutes again.
I have taken all precautions of checking the version compatibilities of the software and modules while installing them. They work perfectly for some time before going bad.
I have this problem only on 5.1 ROMs,that too in combination with the xposed. When I revert back to 4.4 or 5.0 ROMs with their respective xposed versions, the problem goes away.
Does anyone else experience this problem as well? Does anyone know a permanent solution to this?

Touch Pro freezing when sound is enabled

I've got a strange problem with my Touch Pro. It works well for two years and one month after end of warranty (don't ask me why) it starts freezing.
I've got standard ROM, I've made hardreset and use only device without any software installed, nothing helped. After few weeks I've noticed that it freezes mostly when some sound is played: when is playing alarm or when I'm typing in navigation with sound enabled and so on. It also freezes in some incoming calls: I was able to pick up the phone and it freezes after 2-3 seconds of the call. The call was not terminated, but I was not able to hang it - only by soft reset. It doesn't freeze in each call - it's quite unpredictable.
Later I turned off the sound and keep only vibration. Phone works without any issue. Of course, when I turn the sound again on, it freezes after a few tests...
Do you have any idea what can cause this? I'm getting angrier after each freeze and I'm sure the device will fly through the window soon if I don't cope with this...
Standard ROM as in non-custom? Do you have any additional programs installed or additional mods applied? You mentioned doing a hard reset, do you experience any issues with your TP immediately after the hard reset or only after any app installation or mods? May need to narrow it down to something more specific. I have no issues what-so-ever with a custom ROM (see my sig) nor additional mods or applications. They'll have to go after my at&t Fuze with an EMP to get me to buy another phone...
It's standard HTC ROM version 5.05.405.1 WWE with Radio 1.01.25.16. I have no problems for two years with this ROM. After the device started freezing, I've made hard reset (twice), but it obviously isn't a software issue - it froze even after clear install with no additional programs or mods applied...
When the TP is frozen, radio still works (so when it freeze in a call, I can continue talking). Sometimes it freeze when I don't answer the phone - funny is it looks like someone is still calling, even the LED is blinking, but I can't do anything. HW buttons won't work, neither power button. Display always stays turned on (as well as I can remember, it never freeze with display off). Soft reset is the only way out of this...
Yeah, I've seen that once or twice (the screen freezes but lights still blinking while the device is stationary) but not lately and not with the ROM I have installed on my at&t Fuze. Have you installed any additional apps or made and modifications? When's the last time you flashed your device? I can't promise you that flashing will solve the issue as it seems very intermittent and random but perhaps it's tied to a specific phone app or mod?
I've got same problem as You.
I was change a roms few times and still not work correctly.
Has anyone can help ?
I still think it's a hardware problem. I have no freeze for two weeks - but it's only because I'm using vibration mode instead of sound. I'll try to disconnect internal speaker to check if it's the source of the problem...
I was in the service and said that it found none of the above-mentioned defects.
They found that this may be dependent on weather conditions (humidity, conditions of work ect)
It is strange, because it rarely encounters this type of problems.
Personally, you're the first person (including me) who has this type of problems
I have not found anything on the forums in my language.
I'll try to look somewhere.
Regards.
sorry for my English
I used this radio and stopped freeze

[Q] 4.0 Keypad not responding/loading

Hello all,
I apologize in advance if this problem was solved before, I could not find it.
I have a Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) with Android 4.0.3. For a few weeks now I've been having problems with the onscreen keypad. Everything is working normal when suddenly the keypad stops responding. I can still touch other things on the screen and scroll through menus as normal, it's just the keypad that stops working. When I reboot the device, the problem is usually solved. As of yesterday, I have (occassionaly) had the same problem but the keypad doesnt even load. The page is sized down to accomodate the pad but there's just a black rectangle. To solve this, I needed to reboot twice.
I'm pretty sure this has to be software-related seeing as the rest of the apps/screen keeps working.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Anyone had this same problem? It's happening more frequent now, about twice a day.
Same problem here
I have the same problem and its driving me nuts! If i drag down the notification bar and click the "Select Input Method" button, nothing happens.
Tried going through settings menu and changing to stock/swype and still cannot enter anything. Swype even shows the word i entered in the suggestions bar but nothing appears in the text entry box!
Im so glad it's not just me. Do you use a custom keyboard? I use Swiftkey 3 but as i said, i tried switching to another keyboard and still got nothing. I have even had the problem persist after reboots sometimes!!
Is there another ROM I can flash? I have stayed stock until now, but between this and the bluetooth drop out bug and speakerphone issues, I'm about ready to give up on Samsung's Official ROM :/
When the problems started I didn't have a custom keyboard but now I'm using SwiftKey. Since that change I haven't had as much problems. Only thing that happens now sometimes is when you type for example tree and every keystroke after that then copies ree so you get treereereereereereeree.
There are certainly other ROMs but I'm not really into that so you should search the forum. I'm still (relucantly) using the official ROM.

Sometimes fails to boot/backlight kind of working - need technical help

Hey there, I have kind of trouble with my PQ.
The PQ sometimes fails to boot correctly.
Booting the PQ results in a short (a few seconds) backlight and then dark. (Important: No picture or text is shown!)
Then there are two errors I've experienced so far:
- after the backlight is dark, I press a button (POWER/VOL_UP-DOWN/CAMERA) and it vibrates. After a few times of pressing and vibrating, it vibrates long and it then seems to be off. Since the backlight is off, I can't know if it's really off.
- after the backlight is dark, I do nothing except sliding out the keyboard (backlight is off). In this error it seems to start "correctly", because after some time the keyboard backlight goes on. That means, that "android" has bootet and is waiting for password entry (because of encrypted phone).
Either way, I have to reboot several times until it boots correctly. (With some luck it takes only 2-3 times.)
Some notes:
- I have to put my sdcard off, because the password entry doesn't appear if it's in. (ext4 filesystem, android seems to want to decrypt that -.-)
- [needs more testing] The phone has had force resets. I think it was my Access Point/Router, causing the WLAN (or qualcomm SoC) to hang. I changed the screen-part (touchscreen+display etc.), seems not to help. (I also disabled that Access Point/router, so I'm still waiting for a force reset.)
- [needs more testing] Sometimes the SIM-card and/or sdcard is not recognized after a reboot/cold boot. I have to reboot to get it back to work. SIM-card recognition may take more than one reboot.
What's in /system?
- CM11 M11 snapshot
- gapps
- XPosed framework (it boots and everything actually works fine)
...if I forgot anything, I will notice that in a later post or edit this and notice in a new post.
I also have a problem with wakeups again (started just a few days ago, after uninstalling two apps...). That's weird, but I can't find the cause. Neither in the XPosed Logs nor in catlog. I need to investigate it further.
I tried to be very exact and I've put anything that might be relevant into this post.
If you have any ideas (no matter how implausibly they are), post them. I am out of any ideas.
It might be helpful to get a log when it boots "incorrect", but I'm sure it's not written anywhere inside the system.
The good thing is, my wakelock problem "disappeared".
The PQ is having deep sleep again.
I have no idea what the wakelock caused...
No force reboot so far.
Another good thing: the force reboots are gone after disabling the AP/router which probably was the cause.
A stable week for me, the phone didn't crash at all.
Of course the other issues stays.
Saturdays (today) the phone is being rebooted by Titanium Backup. Like a wonder, the phone chose to show the password input (encrypted phone; with sdcard inserted).
After entering the password and some boot-time, the mobile part (SIM-card etc.) chose not to work.
A reboot didn't help and I've got into the annoying problem, that I get a blank black screen with backlight but it boots "normally" (without anything displayed).
It took about 20-30 minutes with trial and error on getting it up with the mobile part again.
BUT: I've found today something new, beside the issue this morning.
Bluetooth seems to be enabled always! It's probably caused by Llama (android app).
Needs also further testing, just wanted to write that somewhere down, so I don't forget.
More details: After disabling it, my "PS3 headset" wanted to pair with "all" devices nearby.
I got pairing messages on the PQ even with disabled BT.

(If anyone cares) the force reboots are gone after setting preamble to "long" (PQ malfunctioning if set to "short") in the router.
The other problem persists but are not that bad because it happens rarely that I need to reboot (soft reboot is mostly enough).

[Q] Slow Home Behavior

Hello everyone!
Let me start off by saying that i'm actually using an unrooted, officially update nexus 5, updated to the latest 5.0.1
I have no problem whatsoever, battery really seem to have improved, but lately i've been getting a strange behavior
After a period of use (it goes from a couple of days to a whole week) the phone oddly slows down when i press the middle button, to return back to the homescreen.
For example, if I'm using the facebook app, and watch a couple of videos along with opening a few external links, when i press the home button, the whole home "loads" from start. I mean, i literally see nothing for a second, then it slowly loads widgets and icons. After it's been loaded, everything works flawlessly again, but if i open facebook again, use it for a while and press the home screen, it loads again.
Mind that i have no custom drawer (i tried Themer, it gives me the same error, it says "loading homescreen" when the problem appears) but the problem is still there with the stock homescreen. I tried force-closing the apps i used, thinking about a memory issue, but to no avail. I have to turn off and turn on the device, and everything works wonders again.
Is there any app that could help me with this issue? I'd like to understand why it's doing this and which app is slowing down my phone.

I am not Sure whether this is 100% sure, But have heard that there is a memory leak issue in lollipop. Which might be the reason of ur problem. And the oly way get enough memory is to restart. But again, I am not Sure whether the above information is correct though.

I've heard that too, but it's strange that it has appeared only now. I haven't had this kind of issue ever since i updated it.
The FB app is just real buggy. My personal theory is whatever that app does exposes the Lollipop memory leak.

Yep i know about that, the FB app is just horrible script-wise. Nevertheless, i've never had THIS problem. And even if i forceclose it, it doesn't solve the problem anyway.

Issues with freezing Pixel 8.1

So, banking on the kindness of some like-minded strangers.
I'm having issues with a Pixel freezing.
OS: Whatever the latest version of 8.1 is in the UK as of 28/03/18 (can't be sure due to issue but I update ASAP)
Not Rooted
Running a custom launcher (Action Launcher)
When I boot the device, Android runs normally for about 30 secs, and then freezes. It still appears to be running, a couple of notifications show and will display the power menu, but does not respond to touch input. I had the 'show touch' feature in developing settings enabled, and the screen is still receiving touch ok so not a hardware problem as far as screen is concerned. I have booted into safe mode, and same result. Recovery mode operates as normal, but doesn't appear to offer anything of use. Also, as it freezes, a FC notification appears, but will be for different apps. I don't know for it's linked, but only after it froze I got a notification saying storage was full, I thought I had at least 1GB but can't be sure. Also, it happened first as I was attempting to share a photo from GPhotos to a contact in Allo. The other day I tried to take a video twice, and both times the system crashed when I pressed stop at the end of the video. Both times the system worked fine when I restarted.
If anyone can shed some light, or has managed to sort same issue, or can direct to a good thread (couldn't find one that helped) I would be immensely grateful, and will send kudos and good vibes.
James
