Thanks for coming here at XDA
I am daily following your good works at 4PDA and I am actually with Titovich's 5.02 rooted and i feel more than satisfied.
I take the opportunity to send you my grateful Thanks.
I will install the new update and let comment as well. I hope and wish the system repartitioning will not give any issue ( I don't like playing with root partition!!).
Question: Was not possible to make the system file as lean as possible , eg removing apk that are unnecessary or available at Playstore for everybody choice in order to avoid this modification.

Stock reserved place in m810 for system partition is ~1,6 gb. Making firmware less, won't bring any changes, unless repartitioning it to lets say 1,1 gb. This operation needs lot of system knowledge from people who will install it.. And profit of changes will be only 500 mb? is nothing.
m812 has partition of 3 gb, that's huge, but suitable for oxdexed roms.
repartition means- you need to change start sectors of emmc in order to set sizes of system, cache. Everything before those partitions remain the same.

Ok, tweak as promised

Hi Guys!
I would like to ask that ROM by titovich, which languages contains?
Thanks

@ heineken78
I've just finished the new Rom install. I followed instructions and had no issue . Rebooted via recovery and installed my stuffs.
-Wifi reception is the same as before and always weaker than my other phones. (minus 8 db)
-GPS IS NOT GETTING ANY FIX. 25 SAT in view and no one fixed.
-New Rom is a HUGE bit of improvement and feel more pleasant and very fast.
-DISPLAY is vibrant and very well set. Automatic mode is perfect also at night reading. good
- Battery leak in stand by is impressively low. less 1% full night. very good
THANKS TO THE TEAM BUILDING FOR THIS REALIZATION.

Also, can we use this thread as a ROM request? (i.e. overclocking ability, gingerbread development)
Thanks. But can you plz post a guide or give a link on how to install the modified ROM in IDEOS for noobs like me

Yes I have the AU version and I bought a Crazy Johns pack with 4GB micro HCSD carded included from Aus. Post for 159AUD. I was luck and go one that was not locked to any network.
Yes you can use the thread for ROM requests, I personally will be ignoring requests for OCing, as there is a very nice little app called setCPU which works great on the U8150.
[How to] install recovery and custom ROMs
I hold no responsibility to how you use or not use this info and if you brick phone - you do this at your own risk
Part 1 Installing Recovery ROM
Please refer to this post before flashing Recovery ROM - AmonRA Recovery 1.6.2 and BLUE Screen
The custom recovery allows you to do all sorts of lovely things such as installing ROM update zips (for the forthcoming custom ROMs), wiping various parts of the device, backing up and restoring and much more.
You can enter recovery mode - turn it off, then press the power button while holding the 'volume up' and 'send' (green).
Downloads
AmonRA Recovery 1.6.2 - DOWNLOAD (MediaFire Pro) / MIRROR (CoBlitz / ROMraid) - MD5: 65d4dcbbedb956a9f88dd1981fb31ef8
How to install - Windows, Linux and OSX
Download the recovery image of your choice above and extract the zip file
Put your device in bootloader mode - turn it off, then press the power button while holding the 'Volume Down' and 'End (Red)' keys
WINDOWS - double click 'install-recovery-windows.bat'
MAC - Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type 'chmod +x install-recovery-mac.sh' followed by './install-recovery-mac.sh'
LINUX - Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type 'chmod +x install-recovery-linux.sh' followed by './install-recovery-linux.sh'
Part 2 Installing Custom ROM
Note: When using the Custom Recovery image use the Trackball to move up / down and press to select. Use the volume down button to go back.
Download a Custom ROM of your choice and place the ENTIRE ZIP (Do not extract it) onto the root of your SD card. By "Root" I mean do not place the file in any subfolders
Enter recovery mode - turn it off, then press the power button while holding the 'volume up' and 'send' (green).
From Custom Recover Main menu and select the 'Backup/Restore' option. Choose a 'Nand backup' and let it run it's course
Return to the Custom Recover Main menu and select the 'Wipe' option. Choose the First option 'Wipe data/factory reset' and confirm. <- this is optional after installing one of my ROMs. I personally have not bothered with it with my ROMs
Return to the Custom Recover Main menu and select the 'Flash zip from sdcard'. Select the custom rom you wish to flash, confirm and wait.
Part 3 Restoring back to original ROM
Note: Upgrade operations will erase the user data.
Find and Download ROM from Link provided on WiKi that you want to install
Copy the entire dload folder (with UPDATE.APP in it) to the root directory of the MICRO SD card.
Make sure your handset is power off. Insert the MICRO SD card into the handset. Pressing the END key and VOLUME UP key, and then press the POWER key to power on the phone and enter the Software Upgrade Mode.
You can see process bar start from 0 on the screen. (this take a few minutes)
Then the handset will restart automatically. Then it is OK.

I got the same deal!
Have you played around with the kernel at all? I'm not experienced in programming etc. but apparantly to OC the IDEOS U8150 more than 600mhz (setcpu does this automatically), it needs a kernel hack like other phones do.

I have played around with Linux Kernels in the past just not the Android kernel yet... but I am sure it not that hard to patch it and recompile.
I am happy with the 600MHz that setCPU unlocks it too.

The Main thinkg about these two parts here, when i enter recovery mode i get a blue screen is that right... nothing BUT a blue screen.
When i try to enter the bootloader mode it stays on the IDEOS logo, the first one when you turn it on...
Also im guessing it has to be plugged into the usb at all times for these.

You should not be getting a blue screen, you sure your using the correct key combination?
Yes you need the USB cable plugged in to use the bootloader. Yes the bootloader is ment to just sit at the IDEOS logo
yeah im 100% sure i used the correct key combo for the restore recovery mode, and sweet as for the bootloader, just wasnt 100% sure on that one.
Thank you OP for the info here, I used them to flash the recovery and I'm going to flash your ROM.
Having a Desire from the very first day I'm not new to these things, but this little boy is in my hands since this afternoon and it's amazing that you came with this just in time.
Will report back in a while with impressions.
OK, here I am. Just attempted to flash the ROM (after a full wipe), but it fails with an "Installation aborted." message just after the ISO symlink one. Looking at the update script, I guess there was a problem while flashing the BOOT partition.
Rebooting into the OS result in the new (rooted) ROM, but something is missing: the build.prop is likely the old one (I still see the old build string) and I have only 118 MB of free NAND space.
Coming from the Vodafone Italy ROM.
Any hint?

Request:
I quite like the look of the black notification bar and green icons. Would you be able to theme this rom with those? Also could you include the gingerbread keyboard. I know I can install it separately but would be cool to have Touch Pal and the original keyboard removed and replaced with the gingerbread one.

Change log:
V3:
Changed how the script
Fixed installation errors recovery on Android 4.x and later
V4:
The script changed drastically
After installation removes trash from the memory card (so far only on Android 4.x and later)
Made for normal (mortals) users , before you start the installation script checks (by model) which smartphone connected to the computer, if your smartphone is not supported script report it and stop installation, if supported will give something "Device: MB525".
Serviceability checked on the Chinese 231 (Defy) firmware with superuser (what say thank borndead), and on the Asian 231 (Defy)
Questions\FAQ:
Error "[ERROR] Verify device!", what to do?
Error "[ERROR] Verify device!", it is may mean the following:
1. You have not enabled USB debugging
2. Your smartphone does not support this Recovery. (only for MB525, MB526, MB520)
3. You need to confirm the action ADB on your smartphone
4. Or you have some other connection problems
Stock transition to CyanogenMod 11 of Quarx
Stock transition to CyanogenMod 11 (firmware and find all necessary files can be here) of Quarx in short (generally as described on the website Quarx, only simpler and under Windows)
1. Install Recovery BootStrap (TWRP) via USB
2. Enter Recovery install resize.zip
3. Restart your smartphone
4. Install CyanogenMod 11 and GApps
Good work, comrade! I flashed CM11 on the Moto Defy - everything works!
We did observed some cases, where a "new life (resized)" Defy is not booting anymore. Only solution was to reflash SBF and start from scratch.
Does this mean, it is possible to recover TWRP from PC? That would be a step a head!
This is amazing! Everytime I needed to reflash the stock ROM I needed to install cm10, then cm11, then new bootsrap etc...
Unfortunately I don't use Windows...
@Octanium91 Would you mind if I port your script to GNU/Linux?

Maybe. If Iunderstand with GNU/Linux scripts
The new version, V4
The new version, V4
Changes:
The script changed drastically
After installation removes trash from the memory card (so far only on Android 4.x and higher)
More debugging: Now the script itself is not closed, and tells the user exactly what happened.
Sorry debris removal only works on Android 4.x and later.
Linux port done!
@Octanium91 I ported it to C++ (for Linux only at the moment). Please add it to the first post . Here is the link: MediaFire | MEGA
On Ubuntu just mount the ISO as image (not archive) then click 'Run' (or you can also extract the ISO and run the executable directly). It works on x86 (32 bit) and x86_64 (64 bit) CPUs. The source code is also included in the ISO. Tested on Ubuntu 14.10 and 16.04 (64 bit).
I tested it with both stock 2.3.6 rooted and CM11. It seems that the stock ROM won't boot after flashing the new bootstrap, but the recovery works fine
Also your version has a very bad bug: it flashes Defy bootstrap even on Bravo!!! It should flash Motorola Bravo specific bootstrap instead. My version only works for Motorola Defy and Defy+ at the moment, but you can edit the source code. EDIT: they are the same file with different names. I updated my version to support MB520.
After run the command script, when i boot in TWRP SDcard shows 0mb.
Already tried flashing the SBF recommended by quarx and after that the root SBF, but the result is always the same.
With CM recovery i can see the SDcard properly, but after the resize, or bootstrap, i always get 0mb at SDcard.
Any help?
Thanks!

Greetings guys, I'm a user from the Atrix 2 section and a part of the current device supporters there. It's a pleasure to finally post here, 'the domain of Quarx' haha.
I was wondering if this recovery is able to flash and boot android Lollipop 5.0 roms yet? If so, then is there some way to port it from source to my or other similar Moto devices in the OMAP bracket with locked bootloaders?
I'm an Android novice, but I'm experienced in building custom recoveries and roms, as well as beginner git commands, so no need to hold anything back, lol. I appreciate the work you're all doing here, please continue to make the difference. Thanks for reading this and take care!

Hi!
flash and boot android Lollipop 5.0 roms - just can not say, but it is theoretically possible (need to check).
If so, then is there some way to port it from source to my or other similar Moto device - No, this is not possible (specifically, in this case). BUT this method you can set recovery to another smartphone (it is theoretically, need to try)
Here recovery that are in the public domain, I think that they can install Lollipop 5.0 roms - TWRP2 \ Safestrap
Moto devices in the OMAP bracket with locked bootloaders? - Most likely will not work, but no one stops to try

Many thanks for the prompt and well ordered reply! I'll look into your suggestions and I'm aware that there aren't many available recovery software for our locked bootloader phones.
We were actually trying to get Safestrap working on our device since last month, but it's failing to work correctly in booting our kexec roms. So I thought I'd ask here since the Defy works by using the 2nd boot like us, but it's still under investigation. Thanks again for your assistance, we're not out of the game yet and we'll get things rolling eventually. Take care!

I had a successful installation of a december build and twrp 2,6x installed, everything ran just fine. But when the CM tells me there is a update and i download it does not install from recovery, get errormsg. Also apps like rom manager pro tells my phone is not compatible with any updates, and that i should install CWM recovery. So is it possible to install a real CWM on a defy mb526?
Hi, I flashed Recovery BootStrap v4 on the Defy MB525, but its not working. After flash and reboot, phone starts booting, but it ends up with the following screen.
Doesn't matter if I choose Recovery or continue. I can press the menu button (to choose recovery) and nothing happen, till the 3rd press. Than display goes black and thats all .
Any idea where could be the problem or what I'm doing wrong?
Edit: maybe its related to the bootloader version, which is 09.10

In principle it is possible, but it does not make sense.

Here's how I ROOTED Nougat on my S7 Edge G935T

Root Android 7.0 Nougat on Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge devices. YES! Supports all USA Qualcomm variants. T-mobile, AT&T, Verizon and *Sprint (*Note: Some people have reported problems with the Sprint device after root, while others have had success. As always, read the thread for detail and use at your own risk)
** THIS IS NOT FOR THE EXYNOS VERSION OF THE S7! **
A few answers to common questions:
YES - this breaks Samsung Pay and probably Android Pay (you will NOT be able to use Samsung Pay after root)
YES - this process is reversible by several methods, one of which would be simply doing a factory reset and re-flashing the complete Nougat Android 7.0 Firmware files in Odin, More details on this below.
NO - this process does NOT trip the KNOX counter
NO - there is no TWRP or custom recovery for this method of rooting
NO - there is no XPOSED framwork for Android 7.0 currently (as of today's date)
YES - There is a Android 7.0 custom rom! Thanks to @jrkruse https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/development/rom-t3572739
Many thanks to the people who released the files! **EDIT: @jrkruse on 5/29/17 has created a new ROOT.BAT including SuperSU v2.82, it has been outlined in this post #480 of his custom rom thread. As always, please take a moment to hit the thanks button! Without the work of these amazing dev's we would NOT have root PERIOD! It is free for you, and mean's a lot to everyone involved in bringing these releases to you the public!!!
Here is latest root zip with SuperSU 2.82 (5/29/2017)

This root method will reset your fingerprints and lockscreen security it will also fix fingerprint issue this should help with issues of not recognizing your fingerprint after you root. I had to modify the latest SuperSu to get root to stick on SuperSU 2.82.
Here is a what I did:
The new supolicy from 2.82 Version was causing root not to stick. So I used the supolicy from 2.81 Version. I modded the SuperSu.apk to ingnore the supolicy not being 2.82 Version So you wont get asked to update the SuperSU binaries.
The SU binary is updated to 2.82 and all other files.
If you delete SuperSU apk dont reinstall it from playstore use the one in Above zip

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION from Post #413: Thanks to @sabresfan post #413
You will need to download and use only the PrinceComsy modified Odin which I got from https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591023225177749
Kernel Adiutor can be downloaded from Play Store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grarak.kerneladiutor
Original stock firmware files can be found on these sites or searching XDA
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
http://updato.com/
** Edit: More information about returning to STOCK below on this first post **
**EDIT: Samsung USB driver's direct from Samsung web site http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.c...G_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.45.00.exe
I'm not sure if you need the ADB files installed system wide or not? But you can also download and install the 15 minute ADB drivers. (use google or search XDA)
AGAIN: I did this to my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on T-mobile G935T RUNNING ANDROID 7.0 NOUGAT I believe this will work with other USA released carrier variants using Qualcomm chipset (T-mobile, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint)... BUT YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
EDIT: MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON ANDROID 7.0 NOUGAT - OBVIOUSLY. (Baseband Version: G935TUVU4BQB1 in the case of a G935T S7 Edge) :fingers-crossed:
This process did NOT cause any data or application loss for me. I did this procedure from an OTA upgrade to N from MM.
Obviously, Download all needed files in advance and unzip accordingly.
Put your phone in download mode (Volume Down, Home and Power) then click home again to continue to download mode
Launch the modified ODIN on your PC
Unzip ENG BOOT file and get the boot.tar for your device (in my case it was the S7edge_qualcomm.tar was the file I needed for the S7 Edge) DO NOT UNZIP THE TAR FILE.
Put that .tar file in AP section of ODIN
Connect your phone, you should see a lighted COM port selected in ODIN meaning your good to go.
CLICK START in Odin. You Phone will flash the file quickly and restart.
Let it boot up fully and wait until you can unlock the phone (go to desktop of the phone)
Now open a CMD prompt on the computer and navigate to where you downloaded and unzipped the SuperSU 2.79 earlier
in the CMD prompt type root.bat this will push the required files to the phone and it will be rooted when its completed.
After a few minutes your phone will restart, and you will have SuperSU and root access on Android 7.0 Nougat.
This is how I rooted my SM-G935T Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on Android 7.0 Nougat. Yes this is a bootloader locked T-mobile branded device.
Please feel free to add or correct anything here in the posts below!
EDIT: You'll want to install Kernel Auditor from the Play store, grant it supersu permission, and set both cpu govenors to ONDEMAND and set apply on boot. (core 1&2 default to performance and core 3&4 default to interactive - set both to ondemand and apply on boot)
EDIT2: You may want to experiment with the CPU governors in Kernel Adiutor (that's actually the correct spelling according to the author). It's been suggested CONSERVATIVE will give you better battery life than ONDEMAND. So you'll want to try the available options and see which results in acceptable balance of performance and battery life for you.
GOOD LUCK! AND THANK YOU!
I HOPE THIS HELPS PEOPLE GET ROOT ON THEIR USA QUALCOMM DEVICES
PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO THANK THE PEOPLE WHO BROUGHT THIS INFORMATION TO YOU.
Returning to STOCK Android 7.0 Nougat

When you extract the .zip file for your device, you have 2 options for the CSC section. One file will erase all existing data and apps, reverting your phone to a like new state. The other will preserve your currently installed apps and data.
CSC_TMB_G935TTMB4BQB1_CL10376601_QB12449118_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar USING THIS FILE WILL ERASE ALL EXISTING DATA ON THE DEVICE
HOME_CSC_TMB_G935TTMB4BQB1_CL10376601_QB12449118_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar USING THIS FILE WILL PRESERVE (*NOT ERASE) ANY EXISTING DATA FROM THE DEVICE
Obviously you can only choose 1 of the CSC files. Using the HOME_CSC keeps your existing data, and the other CSC formats your phone.

So how's the lag for you compared to the eng boot on marshmallow?
As stated in the OP, what you do at this point is at your own risk. I did it, and worked smoothly. Not sure if you need CMD drivers installed before hand, probably do, but I clicked on the Root.bat, and it did it's thing. So far, so good. Thanks to the above contributors without a doubt. I never did the ENG root on MM, so I can't compare. The lag right now is absolutely there. I'm trying to tweak and reboot as I go. Trying to get it better.
I installed Kernel Auditor and set both of the CPU gov's to ONDEMAND - but it won't stick on reboot, one defaults back to performance and the other (core 3&4) defaults to interactive.

I think the SuperSU root file has the needed ADB files, so once you navigate to that folder in CMD (command prompt on the pc for those a little lost), I assume those files are whats used to push the root.bat script to the phone? I think we are both right? but I'm not 100% that's why I mention the ADB drivers, which were already installed on this PC I used. This information was scattered in several threads, I was hoping to put all the links in 1 place so we can maybe get this working smoothly for EVERYBODY.:good:
Since you did it too, and you're getting smooth results what steps did I miss? if any.:fingers-crossed:
I did exactly as you said and worked nicely. The only thing I would add is to already be on Nougat but that might be obvious. I didn't do that earlier, and ended up in a boot loop. Thanks for putting it together. Tomorrow I'll post any lag issues.

Excellent.. Glad it worked.
I just installed it, seems to be running pretty good. Definitely a lot smoother than the MM eng root. I mainly installed because I wanted to get Google assistant lol.
To enable Google assistant you have to use a root explorer app or ADB and change + add a line to the system/build.prop
Change first line to
ro.product.model=Pixel XL
Copy and paste this into system/build.prop
ro.opa.eligible_device=true
Reboot and you have Google assistant!

to make it stick on reboot i think there should be a setting there that says apply on boot
Have you tried flashing the fixes from the popular root thread? Or is it not needed?

Hey thanks for coming over here...
As I mentioned, I don't care about the big hurricane looking icon, but the com.sec.vmimservice icon notification (looks like a red face) pops up multiple times in my status bar whenever there is texting activity. Send or receive. That's what I want to get rid of.
Edit: here's the notification pulled down so you can see.. I have that little red icon in my status bar several times right now... I am using Android messages, and I use Tmobile digits on my other phone (note 4) just fyi... Not sure if everybody is seeing that or if it's unique to either Android messages (formerly Google messenger) or digits service by Tmobile?

Somewhere between reboots (of which there have been many tonight) the setting finally stuck. I also set kernel auditor (adiutor) to set the settings immediately on reboot with no delays.
To me, there is still significant lagging, even with on demand Governor set. I read somewhere about setting the min/max also, those values are always fluctuating in the kernel adiutor program, I'm not sure how to properly set those.... But I also tried kernel tool and had similar results. Just fyi.

Honestly I don't think most of those fixes are still relevant even for MM 6.0.1, so I doubt any flash able version mod would be suitable for N 7.0 [emoji6]
So far, what I've done is wiping cache in recovery (volume up, home and power)
Set the governors to on demand... Beyond that we will need some experts to chime in with suggestions, tips and advice.

Introduction
If you want to put root and TWRP on your device then you have to commit to this as there is no going back from Alcatel to Vodafone firmware after this unless someone uses the scatter file for this device to perform a readback (SP Flash Tool, search: Hovatek how to make a full backup of your stock ROM using sp flash tool, however, the dev blocks should be gathered straight from the scatter file, not MTK droid tools. Will update this if this happens it is successfully conducted by someone ) This little corner of XDA will show you how to:
Flash Alcatel Firmware
Install Custom Recovery (TWRP/CTR)
Root with SuperSU
Install one custom ROM (Cyanogen MOD 13)
NOTE: I will NOT teach you how to install drivers if you need to do that go to https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-440.html (If you are running Windows 7 and up you need to disable 'Driver Signature Verification', this link will show you how to do it: https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-752.html
If you can't figure out how to that by yourself (everything is a google search away) then you shouldn't even attempt any of this.
All files will be on AndroidFileHost
If you want to download all the files for all the tutorials, then you can download the complete package which has everything required for the tutorials (except for drivers of course)

I have questions......
Since Google keeps crashing me out of apps and breaking my brightness control to send me ads and try to get me to install experimental zombies this past month, I'm keen to try this on my VFD501 Vodafone Smart Turbo 7 but.....
Does the initial step have to be Alcatel? I only ask because my SIM is 2 Degrees and I don't know if it'll work with it as it's a bit sketchy while it's still thinking it's a Vodafone.
Is the second step the ONLY rom it'll work with? How far can the hardware be pushed or more efficient?
Lastly, would I still be able to get updates for the usual app suspects? I'm getting further into Minecraft now there's online server games and I'm not finding any options for updates other than through the Play Store. I also watch quite a bit of YouTube on it (another Google aquisition). Would these be denied me by the EvilCorp™ once I free my phone from it's clutches and get rid of Google Movies, Google Mail, Google other bloatware aside from Books where I have several and would like to keep reading them?
HIe, when can we get the custom rom.looks great.
Do you still have the mixed Spanish English rom?
Could you post that please if you still have it? When i installed the cyanogenmod after flashing to alcatel after locking the screen and turning it on again it won't render properly anymore, i just see random lines. Thank you in anticipation!
guys, please can anyone make a backup (TWRP)of stock ROM with /system /data /FRP /protect /boot ? with any google account please.
i want to unlock FRP on my vfd500, i gorgot my google account on this phone so i cant go pass setup wizzard, thanks

So far you have to flash Alcatel to do any modding whatsoever, however, I may have a solution so we can get root on VFD 500 running Vodafone stock but not VFD 501 (however I'm begging my friend to borrow his to do a Miracle Box Backup so fingers crossed :silly: so I can get the 501 version of the Vodafone OS) if the solution works I will release a video on it, if you want to know if you have to flash Alcatel for custom ROMs yes you need Alcatel for the ROMs there is currently no ROMs for this device, and I don't know how to make and edit ROMs just gonna put that out their
Not working for me. Format completed OK. but then error "S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (0xFC0)" given when doing the download and format. Vodafone VFD501, used scatter file provided, drivers appear to be installed ok except i get "MediaTek USB port" used by the firmware loader. "MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM Port" stays even when phone is not plugged in and had yellow triangle

Solved now using this rom and instructions.
Can't post links so google - Download Vodafone Stock Rom for all models - Android MTK and look for VFD500 in the list
The driver tool uninstalled lots of drivers i think this may have helped it use the "MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM Port" which allowed it to write to the phone. Took about 10-15 mins to boot afterwards, I thought it was stuck but just a slow phone

Vodafone_Smart_Turbo_7_VFD500 - RR 7.1 ROM + TWRP 3.0.2 + SP Flash Tool + VFD500_ROM
Hi!
I get a Vodafone_Smart_Turbo_7_VFD500 phone bricked and was very dificult to find a working rom, there are a few that boot but after locking the phone screen goes mad...
I fixed a RR rom, still not perfect but is better.
One kwon issue is charging with phone off, screen stays white and on...
I Let here a link with:
SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1916_Win
SP_USB_Win7_Drivers ( Copy to Desktop and execute the shortcut)
Vodafone_Smart_Turbo_7_VFD500_MT6735M_V2.39.1_21122016_6.0 ROM to flash with SP Tool
open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano-20191029.zip
RR-N-v5.8.5-PIXI4_5_4G.zip (Fixed) Rom
TWRP3.0.2-0_VDF500.img Recovey (Use SP Tool with MT6735M_Android_scatter.txt from Vodafone ROM to flash it)
To use SP tool, first install the drivers then open SP tool, search for MT6735M_Android_scatter.txt file. To install full Vodafone ROM click in Download only and select Format All + Download then Download key above and plug USB, to install TWRP unselect all and only select recovery and click in location field, search for TWRP, click in download from above and plug USB ( If faild with error you need to flash all Vodafone ROM first).
After all this, use TWRP to flash RR Rom then Gapps.

[GUIDE] Convert a Nokia 6 Global variant to China variant or vice versa

Code:
/*
* Your data will be lost! Backup before doing this.
* You'll still get OTA updates.
*/
Prerequisites
December 2017 OTA - Download links: TA-1021, TA-1025, TA-1033, TA-1039
OST LA - Download link
China variant's Firmware - Download D1C-562F-0-00CN-B01_Exploit.7z from here
Step 1:
Copy the December OTA to your SDcard or PC.
Once you have taken a backup of your data, reboot to recovery. If you have the December OTA in your SDcard, select "Apply update from SD card" and select the file. Else if you have it your PC, select "Install update from ADB" and use "adb sideload <filename>" to flash it. The installation will fail. Reboot once. Now your bootloader will be downgraded to Nougat.
Step 2:
Extract D1C-562F-0-00CN-B01_Exploit.7z.
Step 3:
Extract OST LA properly. In the extracted folder right click on setup.bat, run it with administrator privileges. After the procedures are completed, open "OST 604 FIH Mobile" in the start menu. Connect your phone to PC and select "Reboot to bootloader" from recovery. Load the .mlf file from D1C-562F-0-00CN-B01_Exploit folder. Uncheck "Check System AP Status" and click next. You'll get a warning that the software versions don't match. Click OK and continue. OST will prompt you to erase data, accept that too. The OST will now flash the software. Wait for it to complete.
Step 4:
Once it is complete, the phone will reboot. Complete the initial setup. Congrats! You have successfully converted your Nokia 6 into a China variant. You can install the Google Play store apk from here.
Some cool features you'll be getting:
Code:

Sorry for ftm file missing.
I'm reuploading D1C-562C and D1C-562D (September 2018) firmwares.
Speaking of that, I've replaced the bootloader to older version to create following exploits:
- dm-verity command for flashing recovery and phone easily
- qualcomm EDL mode access possible
- accept bootloader unlock key

Not sure of Miracast. But it does work with a ton of devices. Not being able to cast to Windows 10 PC since the past few updates. It used to work in the past.
After converting, the OTA work, right?
