In call audio - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

Does anybody know where I can find a fix for in call audio if I flash an international rom on my phone? N920T.
I might try the s6 files but I'm pretty sure they're different than the notes

[Q] GT-I5800D? SIM Card, ROM Questions.

I r n00b.
I have this GT-I5800D. As I understand it, this is a Canadian only model that comes on a plethora of Canadian Networks such as Rogers and Telus.
I have managed to Root my phone with little hassle. My question however, is to use a different ROM do I have to unlock or do anything otherwise special to this phone to use my SIM?
Also, this will be my first attempt at doing anything like this with a cell phone so general pointers would be much appreciated.

No, just go ahead and flash a ROM but be warned that if a ROM is not according to your area, in your case Canada, then you may not be able to make calls etc. I think. Go onto samfirmware and you can find your regional ROM.

You should maybe flash a custom kernel so you can backup your current rom so you can restore it if you are facing problems like not being able to make calls as mentiones by Smonic earlier. Or you can download a stock rom from sammobile.com and have it ready in case you cant make calls etc. I'll pm you the exact link if you need it.

Samsung Exhibit II 4G / T679 Official ROM

Hello all!
Seems a basic question and I did a search around, but didn't find a exact answer.
I have a Samsung Exhibit II 4G/T679 which came with carrier's ROM. So lots of undesired applications and some blocks (tethering, for example).
Instead of going to a modified ROM (which can be an alternative, of course), I'm wondering if there is available anywhere the official ROM release by Samsung for this model. Since there is the unlocked model from Samsung, I assume there is a official ROM from them (carrier independent).
Does anybody know where to download this official ROM?
Thanks!
If I am not mistaken, no. But we have some great Roms for this phone check them out. Trust me you don't want stock.

Thanks for your answer!
I wanted the stock mainly because some applications that I use explicitly say they don't run on "rooted or moded roms". So installing one of those customs roms would prevent me from using those applications. Maybe installing the stock one released by Samsung (on unlocked phones) the application would accept that.
Any idea or suggestion?
Seems obvious, but link was not so easy to find...
Here is the stock ROM for this model (attention: not carrier shipped, but manufactured shipped, rooted):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Exhibit_II_4G#Flash_Back_to_Stock
In my case it's still not the right solution since I have a carrier-shipped ROM and I would need to have this ROM back if they need to provide any service.

How is it not the right solution?
What applications are you trying to keep on stock ROM that you're convinced won't work on a custom ROM

Because my phone has the carrier-custom ROM, not the clean manufacture one.
So if I have to send the phone back to carrier, they will notice the ROM was changed. This one I couldn't find...
I'm thinking about using CWM Recovery to backup the ROM. But... then the CWM will replace original Recovery System, so it's a signal that ROM was changed too...

It's my office app. Somehow they have explicit lock on custom or rooted phones (maybe for security). I already tried to install on another moded phone and it doesn't work. Only with factory or recognized ROMS.
I don't know how they identify that... but it happens!
I have an ODIN Stock ROM for the SE2, when thats flashed it takes away root and completly restores the phone to out of the box state.
want it?
The carrier is Tmobile.

Sounds good! Thanks! Is this the ROM that comes with TMobile version of the phone? Or the unlocked clean version from Samsung?
Tmobile version out of the box. Uploading now. (will be about 6 hours thanks to slow internet! D: oi)

Thank you very much. Did you produce this ROM? I was unable to find anywhere...
No I didnt.
Iv had it in my downloads folder foreverr and I use it alot for when I soft brick and need to use a jig.
Since the jig puts my phone into download/ODIN mode, Iv always saved that folder cause it is ODIN friendly.
Why don't you just flash to what ever you wont and not worry about it and then if you were to have to ship it back to to t-mobile just use the directions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Exhibit_II_4G and flash back to stock. Because I am sure that is what he is uploading.

[Q] Loud distortion sound when making phone calls

I have just received ANOTHER refurbished G2x from T-mobile because I thought there was an issue with my other phone but it seems as though my problem is consistent with both devices...
When first using my phone, all works fine. However after I rooted it, I tried installing MUIU, and Hellfire (ICS) and when trying to make a call on both of these rooted ROMs, I get this loud, distorted sound along with no transmission between my phone and anyone I call. Has anyone else come across this issue? what am I missing?
Thanks for the help!
Wrong baseband for those roms you need to use the new baseband zip from owains thread in his O.P.
Try searching around a little next time you'd find your answer easily.

I get the same exact problem as the OP only difference is I have been on the new baseband 21y for like a month now I have even checked in my system info and Getril just to make sure it's sticking and it is.
Got it working, for some reason I had to reflash the baseband *shrug*

The V21y baseband from March 2012 is not compatible with many custom roms outside of Nightly. There is a V21y baseband fix for your audio from Owain but calls via bluetooth won't work anymore.
My solution has been to install the rooted V21y stock rom and then customize it from there. Everything works that way and there are no issues at all.
I tried everything here but no luck. Does anyone have the baseband zip so I can flash it? I searched and can't seem to find it,

Looking at your build.prop.. it says hw_version is C900B110.. Does anyone know the difference between this and the C567B110?
No clue on that one...I'm not even sure how many versions of this phone there are lol. At least 3 I think
lol. Well, I'm going to re-flash the C567B110 and see how it goes.

2 versions in India,
2 versions in China,
1 in US and 1 in EU.
Damn lol...seems like a bit much...wonder what the reasoning behind that kind of thing is.

T-Mobile variant clarification

After reading a few threads, it would seem that there is an msmtool for the tmobile variant now but still no method for root? I'm not counting the method to convert to international version.
Do I have this all correct or am I missing something?

The T-Mobile MSM tool is to revert back to the T-Mobile firmware. If you use the MSM tool to convert from the T-Mobile version to the international version, you can root but you must be SIM unlocked prior to converting to the international version.

Right I had mentioned that in my post, but I'm a little apprehensive to try it because I don't want to have issues with lte or wifi calling.
Is there no way to just root on my stock rom? I kinda just want a custom kernel and themes.

There are no issues what do ever with LTE of Wi-Fi Calling. They work great. The newest update for the Global/International version fixed the issue some had with Wi-Fi calling not switching over fast enough.
