I am a regular newspaper reader,especially India news, beacuse now I am learnning Hindi and I want to know more about India, a mysterious and charming country. Fortunately, I found Hotaday App in the internet, through which I can read kinds of India news.
In my opinion,Hotoday is totally different from traditional media in India. Cause it mannually recommends me a lot of information everyday. You know, most Indian media &enterprises are too lazy to do it. Besides, the interface is so cool! Very bright color!
What I like most is that the administers of Hotoday will reply me after I put forward the questions and evaluations.Last week I had been invited to visit their office due to my activeness in that app. I was so excited!!!!!!!!!!!
I promise to be their loyal user!!
the end I am finding other useful Apps like Hotoday. if you have some ideas, please tell me and we can talk about them( tell me these App's names and advantages!)

I use News Republic. I used to use News 360, but no longer do. I like this one better. Definitely don't care for Flipboard.

I agree with you . In spite of this shortcoming, there are a lot of resource of Indian fashion and Bollywood..
I like these news.
However, it isn't suitable for IOS system, so my friends who own iphones can't use it.:crying:it's totally a pity

Oh, I never heard this kind of App in India. If it has Hindi language, I can't wait to try it. Later I wil share my experience with u.
Normally i use News Hunt app for news updates and reading news papers online.
Will give it a try for Hotaday app and let you know.
If you provide play store link for Hotaday, it would be much better for community members here.

After speaking to a few university friends (none that know how to develop software for windows mobile). We were all interested in an application similar to the UK Rail Departures app, but for the Cityrail network in Sydney. I was curious whether there is a current application for this rail network.
I understand it may be difficult, but I'm willing to make a donation towards a developed application.

The basic principle of it is pretty great actually; I'd love to have a couple of my songs (per say) featured in a app that can be deleted, instead of having people download my song's & then have it get lost in their folders. They can delete it if they hate it with ease, or have a link in the app to your iTunes/Music page if they like it.

Can I just say that if you don't want feedback or opinions, constructive or otherwise, then a forum really isn't the place to be announcing your app.
I thought this forum was a place devs/users could gain feedback and discuss apps, if you aren't prepared to take the good with the bad then why post?

Because this is for people to offer constructive criticisms about the app, not needlessly hateful comments. Saying "this app sucks because i don't like the music" is not helpful in the slightest. We are supposed to be rating the app, not necessarily the music.
By the way, this is a brilliant idea for an app. I think NYGraFFit1 put it best

Well if someone would like to help improve this app im all for it, but I did this much in app inventor online and do not know much about programming in eclipse lol
I would like to see this app improved though, maybe ill start reading about android programming when school is finished next week

I was going to offer to throw it on the market for you, but I'm pretty sure you can't with AppInventor apps (I'm not sure, I'll look into it). I know you at least didn't used to be able to, but things may have changed.

Hey Folks !
Just to let you know that I participated on a new french app with 2 of my dev buddies called O'Ciney
App is for Movies addict (looking for a "now playing movie", some hours or movie theater nearby).
We tried to add a Movie theater mood to the app and work hard on the UX, I know it will not be useful for you guys out there but I only wanted to show you this and maybe get some feedback from the most courageous of you all
You can DL and try the app since it's on the Google Play (and it's free !)
Please give us your feelings about it and let us know how we could improve the app.

Unfortunately i am not french, so the app isn't all that useful to me, but i love the design. Gourgeous Visuals and cool mechanics.
If you ask me, IMDB should send you a truck full of money and ask you to build them a decent app.
The UI is really cool but the UX was not all that great. It seems you are using Allocine's API for the source of information so we have odd results at the end.
For instance I have attached suggested pictures from John Travolta's profile... WTF??? Wikipedia would be better lol
Another point is the thumbnail that hasn't been uploaded while visiting Sir Tarantino's profile.

Yep AlloCine's API.
John Travolta was part of the cast on that movie mate lol look at the upper left corner he is ..the lady (is that your point ?)
For Sir Tarantino guess it's due to the API.
Fact is we'd love to turn this app international (like imdb) but we need to plug it to a great web services (API). And it's hard to find a partner.

Yes I know I mean that I expected some pictures of John Travolta himself and not film posters he did. When I want to have more details about a filmography I go to the related menu.
That's why we need to use another API since we're unfortunately kinda slave of that web service reply.
And we need to know hours of movies if it is 3D or else.
We will have to ask every movie theater that want to be on o'ciney and plug us to their info. Tricky, but not impossible

PS: The App depends heavily on the gyrosensor, so if your smartphone doesn't have one, the Play Store will show that your phone is not compatible. So in case someone wonders why it's not possible to download the app even though the Android version is right.

Maybe you can give an option to change the language? In the end you'd only have to translate North, East, South, West

I updated the App, the orientation should be a little better and smoother now.
