I was looking around in the engineering tools to see if I could find some kind of hidden root method for my Siswoo C55 when I accidently changed some value that made my phone unable to send sms messages. Does anybody know what I messed up and how to fix it? I'm fairly certain that its one of the Telephony or Connectivity settings. It's an unrooted phone (I still can't find a root method for my phone) and there's no master reset switch for the values in the engineering settings so I can't just start over. I've already tried a factory reset with no effect and there's no apparent way for me to re-flash the ROM without root. Any help?
Hi,
I can't find a relevant thread for your device and issue, but here is a dedicated thread for your device that you could ask for help in,

I have rooted it using Iroot and confirmed it using root checker, but unfortunately when i run MTK engineering app on it,,, it showed me a response that "cannot find EngineeringMode App.
I installed MTK droid tools to see if i can change the imei number, but i found another disturbing response-File /system/recovery-from-boot.p which restore factory recovery in case of phone switching on in a normal mode Is Found!
Pls what should i do?
Imei tampering (especially changing imei) is illegal in most areas, and definitely not condoned or discussed on XDA.
You will not find help with that here.
Hi, i seriously need your expert guidance. I tried everywhere on this great forum but could not find the information. I bought 2 Doogee X5 Max for my sisters.. One is working just fine but other is not able to recognize network. I researched this further and realized that IMEI number beneath battery is different than what we get on pressing *#06#. Chinese counterpart is of no help as there is a major language barrier. I was told by one of the technician that IMEI numbers needs to be mapped to ones beneath the battery but for that phone needs to be rooted. I did almost everything Kingroot, kingoroot, vroot, framaroot but nothing was helpful. I also tried flashing TWRP from needrom using SP flash tool and though it flashed it successfully, TWRP does not get launched.. I tried everything using ADB and other root tools but none was sucessful. The only information about this phone root procedure is available on 4PDA but thats in russian. I tried google translate but it is of no use. I also tried above all mentioned methods by unlocking bootloader but its all in vain.. Please help.. I am counting on you experts
Friends.. Please i need your assistance
Hello everyone, how are you doing ?
So, the problem I'm having is: I have a Moto G1 (XT1032), and I tried to use KingRoot on it and as usually didn't work .. nothing bad happened with my phone but just didn't work. I did some searches around all over internet and find some tutorials explaining how I should unblock Bootloader and then Root my phone on a safety way.
But after I watch the video I read the comments and a lot of people had problems because they have tried Rooting with KingRoot before.. I reset the datas by using the option "Factory Data Reset" on Settings -> Backup & Reset, but I'm not sure if that's enough to solve my problem of some possible damage caused by KingRoot not working correctly.
My question is: Is there some specific procedure to do now ? if so, which is?
Thanks all for attention and supporting.

HI i am new in this (but very good following steps and instructions )
i have a Kyocera Duraforce e6560, I have read something about rooting and i discovered that rooting is one thing and that installing a custom rom is another thing.
In my case the only thing i want in my phone is to enable the MMI codes functions and to remove the hotspot restriction (AT&T is well known by blocking the hotspot functionality of their phone if used with another network.
My doubs and questions:
Can i do that with rooting the device?
once i modify what i need to modify in order to get those functions working back again.. can i "unroot" the system back?
and if possible to remove some bloatware
can you help me to get that?
I have install first flashed twrp recovery and i flashed android recovery thinking that twrp will be removed.....
but it causes problem my Samsung star pro does not reboot.....
I found this thread while searching for a solution for the same hotspot problem.
The solution I found was the PdaNet+ app on the Google Play store. It works fine for me with an AT&T DuraForce E6560 and my Windows 10 laptops.
Hello, how are you? My S8+ G955FD won't boot past the SAMSUNG logo. I am able to access the menu with the Power+Bixby+Vol+, but I don't know which option to use. I selected all of them twice.
The phone is not rooted and the bootloader has never been changed from it's original configuration. While trying to find a solution the question regarding the bootloader was sometimes asked. I don't know if it's locked or not, just that it has never been changed. The current and original OS is a carrier unlocked version. I have never enabled developer settings.
I know this question has been asked before, but I was just too overwhelmed by the number of results and couldn't find the guide for the S8+. I definitely found guides for other models and other brands of phones. I just need a working phone, it doesn't matter if it has root permissions or if the OS is version 1. I can forego the data, and will be happy with any kind of OS. The non-carrier specific would be best, my provider is Docomo. Please, how can I get my phone to boot properly again?
In an attempt to fix this I read through a some guides to flash the OS, most of them require that developer settings and usb debugging be enabled and I have never done that, nor do I know how to enable those without accessing the settings since the phone won't boot. So I didn't do anything beyond reading the directions and I feel stuck. What information can I provide that will help you walk me through to the solution? Thank you and may you have a wonderful day!
