Z3 dual D6633: will it receive marshmallows? - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any official indication of whether the D6633 dual sim version of the Z3 will receive the marshmallows update? From the press release it's not clear if the dual sim version is included, too. Thanks!

Even if it doesn't get an official update I'm sure a similar patch to this one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-d6603-23-1-0-690-lollipop-update-t3061768) will come out for marshmallow

Android v6.0 marshmallow, will be available soon for Xperia devices.

You will get android 5.0,dont worry nuddy. And yes,its would be official from Sony.

[Q]Which one should I buy Z3 (D6603, D6633)?

Which one should I buy Z3 (D6603, D6633)?
I would like to use custom ROM as a daily driver.
Z3 dual D6633 seems to be great, but will there be a wave of LP 5.1+ ROMs for dual SIM phones? - Official android support for dual SIM was introduced in LP 5.1 AFAIK.

When I bought Z3, I had the same problem as yours whether I should go for single sim or dual one.
Finally, I bought a single sim (mine is 6653) because I think 6633 won't get as many custom roms as 6653 would have.
And it's true till now though I am still using stock rom as the custom roms are not very stable yet.

sony z3 d6633 custom roms

is there is any stable custom 6.0.1 roms for z3 d6633 or a stock android 7.0.1 that will work with dual sim please provide links
and thanks in advance for helping me
p.s i have twrp recovery and rooted my phone and unlocked bl
There are modified stock 6.0.1 roms for this variant but there is no stable 6.0.1 AOSP rom and dont even think of android 7.0 as the dual sim variant does not have a support in the AOSP code you can get the android n developer preview to work on your phone but you will have no access to your sim cards you can try the D6633 marshmallow patch available for this device that could help you to flash D6603 Marshamallow roms but sony has abandoned our device and we can only hope to some developers to make 7.0 run on our device
I hope this message helped you and sorry if this message was not pleasant or helpfull to you

Xperia XZ (F8332) how to check region?

Hello,
I received my new Xperia XZ (F8332). The phone is still working on Android 7.0 (compilation 39.2.A.0.417). How can I check region and when I should expect Android 7.1.1?
Settings: About Phone: Diagnostics: Facts. Scroll down to Customization. You can then go here to cross reference the number to what region it is.

Android Oreo for Xperia Z5 - Sumire

Can we get Oreo rom for Xperia Z5?
We want to use Oreo 8.1.
Please compile ASOP 15.1 or LineageOS 15.1 for us.
Thanks.
Yes, I really hope someone can make Oreos for this device
Thanks bro :fingers-crossed:
Will most likely not happen.
As long as Sony doesn't release an official Oreo for the device in question, there will be no kernel blobs to recycle. And it is even less likely that Sony will release any source code.
At "best" we could maybe have an Oreo without wifi, camera and nfc

But now my Z2 is very stable with RR oreo, sony newer released the z2 drivers for oreo.
I think developers want to create aosp for z5 they can.
Any idea about oreo guys? I want to test it.Other devices z2 and z3 etc. has oreo custom.
Oreo for the Z5 would be really awesome and a logical step, indeed. I mean, I flashed an old Z3 days ago and have an old Z2 next to me, both with a flawlessly working Android 8.1 powered by lineageOS. And then in my hand, my sad Z5 Dual which also works nearly flawlessly powered by lineageOS, but unfortunately with Android 7.1.2 Please, it would be awesome to get Oreo for the Z5. I don't see any need for for newer devices that followed the Z5: camera is great, specs are more than sufficient for my and most purposes, design-wise (always subjective of course) it is a great device, dual sim covers additional needs if you have that version, etc.
As the Z2 and Z3 have (inofficial, but perfectly working) lineageOSs, what is really the reason why 15.1 does not exist for the Z5? Is it just a matter of time or any technical reason? No driver support cannot be the reason as the Z2 and Z3 have no official drivers as well, right?
Any ideas?

Need Sony Xperia M (Nicki) support

Hi all.. I have Sony Xperia M dual C2004 model with unofficial slim ROM nougat 7.1.2 beta build on it. After various ROM test I found this rom highly performed to my expectations but the developer hasn't release new build. I don't know what is the reason. I am excited to see new feature in its interface and navigation settings. Hope to get support from you guys...:fingers-crossed:
