Bluetooth woes - Blu Pure XL

Has anyone experienced issues with Bluetooth devices? I have 2 devices (that are somewhat obscure) that I'm having problems with. First, what does work:
1) Beats Wireless Headphones
2) Bluetooth in my car
3) Unify Roverbeats (For bluetooth via A/V receiver that doesn't have it built-in.
4) Fitbit Surge (Had a little trouble getting it paired initially, but it's been fine since.)
The two items I'm having the trouble with are:
1) Omron 7 Series Wrist (BP654) Blood pressure cuff.
2) Vicks SmartTemp Bluetooth thermometer.
I have gotten both to pair, though it seems to be hit and miss. Once I need to actually use them, though, I'm having little to no success in getting the phone to see them. Unfortunately, I have to take both my BP and Temp every 3 hours (due to recently diagnosed, extremely rare immune system disorder.) This would be a deal-break for me, with the Blu Pure XL, it I didn't have 2 other android tablets I can use. However, I'd sure like to have these working on the phone! (BTW, they all worked seamlessly on my LG G4.)
Has anyone else experienced bluetooth issues with the Pure XL?

More Bluetooth problems....
The Bluetooth problems I mentioned earlier have only worsened. My car sometimes will, sometimes won't connect. The surge connects 90% of the time. Everything else is touch and go, with my BP Cuff only connecting once (during the pairing sequence.) Also, when selecting "un-pair" on any device already paired almost never un-pairs it. I usually have to reboot, then try again to actually get it to un-pair.
Aside from the Bluetooth issues, I've not really encountered anything else that is a show-stopper. I'd like to have Android pay, but it's not a necessity. I want root more (which disables Android pay anyway.)

I've only paired a Metawatch so far but no issues. I keep forgetting to sync it to my car. I'd say the connection with the XL is better than with my M9, which dropped/reconnected randomly.

So far it seems to work fine with my car but when I use it with moto x sol deck it starts breaking up after 15-20 minutes. The only way to fix it is to turn on and off bluetooth.

Pure XL bluetooth serious problem
I have a Pure XL also, originally i only had problems occasionally with playing media through my LG Tone+ headphones. then i also tried connecting my Fitbit Charge HR it would shut down the bluetooth and lock the bluetooth off. i tried uninstalling the fitbit app and only running the headphones and the bluetooth ended up locking up. when i go to the bluetooth settings it shows it as constantly turning off and turning on. i cant stop it. tried rebooting. and also tried turning off and leaving off for awhile and still when i turn it back on it is still locked up.

Issues with jawbone up3, screwed up bad
Also having issues maintaining a sync without a reboot. In my wild attempts to fix this issue I ended up uninstalling Bluetooth Share.... Would any of you fine gentlemen be kind enough to post a copy of the apk from /system/bluetooth for me?
edit: found it github*com/acheron1502/android_vendor_BLU_BLU_PURE_XL/tree/master/proprietary/system/app/Bluetooth
thanks to acheron1502!

I only use Bluetooth for me FM transmitter in my car.... I never seem to have any problems at all as far as connection and playing music/sounds.... But the hands-free doesn't seem to work.... I can hear them but they can't really hear me very well.... I just put it off to the mic on the FM transmitter....

Just got my blu pure xl today and Bluetooth sucks, its not much better than my blu vivo air. Signal cuts off only being like 5 feet from the phone using my brand new jbl reflect mini Bluetooth earbuds. Hooked to my 4 year old kindle fire hd left on my second floor I was still getting reception in my basement. I'm so pissed I thought that this specked out phone would have good Bluetooth reception but nope ****ty. Blu/gionee needs to start putting way better Bluetooth transmitters in there phones.

I've got to reboot my phone several times a day to keep synced with my runtastic orbit. definitely the phone, had no issues with my LG. Its a nuisance, not a major issue.

Bluetooth woes followed by total meltdown!
After all of my initial issues with Bluetooth on my pure XL, I put a Samsung 200 GB MicroSD card in. It worked for a while, but I think I somehow damaged the card moving it in and out of the phone. Finally, I left the phone charging with card inserted. After an hour or two I came back to get it and it was fire hot...so hot that the plastic back cover had started to melt right below the memory card slot. After it cooled down I removed the SD card. The went on to work half the time, but eventually completely died. I contacted BLU and they sent me an RMA, so I sent the phone to them. I figured they would come back and say the phone was not covered anymore because I had the TWRP recovery and root installed. However, after they received the phone, I got an email with tracking number on the return to me. They ended up sending a completely new phone (off the shelf with all the goodies included.)
Since the new one has been back, and I got the march update, I haven't had any Bluetooth issues save 1: it won't connect to my Denon AVR receiver's Bluetooth mode. Everything else that I listed at the start of the thread is all working correctly now. Every once in a while I have to do a reboot to reset it, but it's way better than it had been!

BLUETOOTH CLICKING NOISE (handsfree)
Is anyone having issues with when using their BLU Pure XL in the car when using handsfree? I have an issue when about 1 minute into the phone call, the person I am talking to hears a loud click every 2 seconds and will not stop until I turn off the bluetooth or put on speaker. If i switch back to bluetooth, same thing happens. The longest I've gone on a call is probably 4 minutes before it started to happen. If i hang up and call the person back on bluetooth, same thing happens.
Anyone has a solution with this as its so bad that I am considering buying a new phone because of this issue!
Thanks

Blue tooth issues

I was trying to sync my g2x phone to my uconnect on my dodge. It dials but completely mutes the call. Then it s shutdown the bluetooth on my phone. I tried out on my wifes g2 and would reboot the phone when I tried to shut down the blue tooth. I had to reformat her phone to stop that. We have 2 g2x phones. Again will sync but crashes after that.

I can't even get mine to pair with my Subaru BT. It see it, tries to connect then says incorrect pin but doesn't even prompt me to enter one. Its like there is one already stored for it, but its never pairs since day one...not sure what's wrong. I've factory reset once too. Hmmm

I think there is a problem with the blue tooth in these phones.
Its connecting fine to my Samsung headset. I currently am using the bluetooth to watch a movie.
I just got the G2X myself and so far I'm blown away by it except for the BT issue....
I use my phone with NO ISSUES on my Jawbone Era, but the SYNC in my F150 doesn't like it.
It's strange, the phone drops the BT connection yet still shows (icon at top) that it's connected. But under settings it's not.
Once this happens you would think you could stop / start the BT but nope! Gotta reboot the whole phone.
Anyone have any resolution to the issue? Hoping that the new GINGERBREAD once released will resolve the issue.
I've noticed that it seems to be related to data though, seems that my SYNC trying to sync the contacts is when it flips out... I'm going to disable the contact sync and see if it stays attached. I'll post my results soon...
Works in my Infiniti, better than the G2 did. Do your cars try to find the phone or does the phone have to find the car? Mine's the latter. When pairing, the phone actually pops up "Invalid PIN" and then a second later it pops up a screen that allows me to enter the car's PIN. It's as if the phone's sending a PIN without me entering it. You might want to try setting the car's PIN to 0000 or 1234 and see if one of those two codes are what the phone's first trying to transmit.
I can go either way, find the car or have the car find the phone.
I'll try using default codes 0000 1234 as you suggested... Mine does connect and pair, but then later on just drops the car like a bad habbit and I have to reboot the phone for any BT device (headset or car) to reattach. Almost like a service gets locked or something....
Does anyone have a fix for this?
Less issues with the G2x on my 2010 Ford Focus with SYNC than with my Nexus S. It seems it doesn't always reconnect properly upon start up, even though the car thinks they're connected, but that is only streaming. Phone calls always work fine. The Nexus S had all kinds of problems if you had WiFi turned on.
*sigh*
My iPhone4 had almost zero with the BT, but every time a major iOS release came out, I'd have some connection issues. However, Ford would then release a SYNC update and everything would be fine again. I'm guessing that NO ONE is following the BT standard as closely as they should, and that causes issues.
The phone does seem to be half finished.

I have a 2010 F150 and I'm having the same issues with Bluetooth and this phone.
Initially it attached fine and downloaded my phone book but now it disconnects and leaves BT on the G2x in a funky state.
I'm kind of hoping that Gingerbread will have an update, but I don't know I want to wait that long. I'll be touching base with the T-Mobile store about this.
If you have any updates with your truck let me know. I'd be happy to only use this for the phone for a short period of time.
I synced my phone to my car on the first day w/o any issues.
The car's phone setup menu did not find the phone. I had the option to either choose a fixed pin or a random pin. I chose a fixed pin and then went to my phone to search for the car.
It found the car in seconds and I paired it with the phone using the pin I inputed initially from the car setup.
I was able to download my phonebook with no issues and it only took about a minute or less. It couldn't download my entire phonebook, but that was just because of my car's inadequate space. I'd imagine with a 12.5GB hard drive in my car that wouldn't be a problem, but oh well.
Also, phone quality is great, reception is great, the quality on the other end is great as well. The best thing is that the G2x actually notifies me during a call if I have an incoming call/text/email...something my G1 couldn't do while paired to my car.

What kind of car? The various head units have different Bluetooth implementations. My Infiniti (and I'm assuming Nissan's) work fine. We've heard that Ford and Subaru don't.
I don't know if those of you who can't connect have tried this but it might be worth a shot. Change the name of the phone in Bluetooth settings. Turn Bluetooth off and on and/or reboot the phone until that name sticks. For some reason, it would either go back to "T-Mobile G2x" or show that the phone had no name until it finally stuck.
The Bluetooth profile/stack in the phone is buggy. It'll either drop the profile completely or randomly drop a device. If I reboot the phone sometimes they come back and sometimes they don't. The profile for my car didn't show in settings but the car connected to the phone anyway. It will sometimes play phone sounds through my speakers or headset and other times it won't with none of the settings changed in any way.
I hope either an update or Gingerbread help stabilize Bluetooth.

Acura. So yeah it seems Infiniti/Nissan and Acura/Hondas are fine. Before I got the Acura I had a Nissan and it was able to sync my G1 w/o issues as well.
Yeah the bluetooth on this phone is a little funky when trying to connect to my kenwood kdc-bt945 system, whereas the nexus s worked much smoother.

Think it's a hardware bug for the Ford stuff? I'm thinking it's not, I'm thinking that it's actually a software issue givin the profile weirdness.
Perhaps one of the gods here will have a rom out soon with better BT drivers / managment in it then what's on stock. I wish I knew more about rom cooking cause then I could work on whipping up a batch of gingerbread cookies.
I miss my Sync and now debating on taking the phone back under remourse and going back to my Vibrant 3G.
Other than this BT issue I love my phone.
Given that someone else is having SYNC issues with this phone maybe I shouldn't return it under remourse for another one but simply wait and see what happens. Any thoughts??

Have you checked on Syncmyride.com for SYNC updates? This fixed a few issues I've had over the past 2 years with my Focus.

Bluetooth problems

I've been having bluetooth problems with this phone since day 1 & I'm wondering if it's just my phone or if anyone else is having the same experience. No matter what rom or headset I use, I get a craptastic connection. I don't have any problems pairing devices, but I can't get 10 feet away from the phone without it disconnecting and I can't even turn my head without the audio cutting out. It also randomly disconnects for no reason & sometimes won't reconnect until I reboot. This has happened with every rom I've tried & every headset too. I've bought & returned multiple headsets thinking it was just my Blueant, but it happens with every one.
Could I have a faulty unit or does the bluetooth on this phone really suck this bad? I listen to podcasts & music all day long at work so I need to have a decent connection. Opinions needed please.
I think it may be a bad phone.
I have and used the following bluetooth devices:
Plantronics 590A
Jawbone Icon and Era
BlueAnt S4 which I use in the car. And auto connects before I sit down to drive when I have it on.
Sony Ericsson MW600
And Jabra Pro 9470 (office phone setup that connects to my phone via bt)
All connects without a problem. Have you done a titanium backup and perform a factory reset? And after the reset use titanium backup to restore app and data only and leave the system settings alone. You can restore the wifi stuff if you like. From there that's like a fresh install. Hope that works for you.
Yeah I've done many, many wipes & fresh installs & nothing helps. I don't have any problems connecting, I just have problems STAYING connected & listening to audio. It cuts out constantly without me even touching the phone. I've never had such shoddy bluetooth on any other device.
*sigh* Looks like I may be doing an exchange...

Well before leaving the store...if you are going to a brick and mortar to do the exchange, bring the bt headset with you and try it out there and try to replicate the problem with a new phone.
I do not have range problems but I don't usually have my phone more than 5 ft way from me when talking on it via bt.
I have a replacement on the way for bluetooth problems, people complained of a horrid background noise and the range was maybe 8 feet before major static would kick in

My BT sounds like crap! People say it sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel or they can't hear me that well, when they speak to me it cuts in and out.
This is when I connect to my Parrot BT in my truck. I know its not the Parrot system because my HD2 works fine with it.

I have a Dual car stereo & now that I think about it, everyone says they can't hear me even though I installed the mic on the side column & it's no more than a foot from my face at any time. Aargh this is so annoying. Freaking $600 phone & my damn $25 RAZR from Big Lots has better bluetooth.
If I bring it to the store, would they exchange it for me? I ordered it directly from T-Mobile, I didn't get it in a store.

horrid bluetooth sound quality
it seems a lot of people have been having issues with the bluetooth sound quality. i have mine paired with a motorola HF850 car kit, which has bluetooth v1.1, or something like that. i wonder if the problem is with backward compatibility, as people seem not to have as many issues with newer devices. would flashing a different radio potentiall help this problem? is it possible to downgrade the bluetooth version with a custom ROM? any other thoughts on ways to address this issue?

Bluetooth issues

Is anyone else having problems with the bluetooth in the car? I am pretty frustrated with the performance of the bluetooth in my car (Infiniti G37xS). I used to have a Rezound and that worked pretty much flawlessly. As soon as I got in my car it would automatically connect (since I leave BT on). The Rezound also connected for both media audio and phone audio, meaning I could be streaming music but it would still be connected as a phone in case I got a call.
Now on to the SGIII...It is extremely hit or miss whether the phone connects to my car automatically (mostly miss). When it does connect, it seems to only let me connect as media audio or phone audio. If I try to check both it disconnects and won't work. So that kinda defeats the purpose of BT in a car IMO. Then the next issue, when I finally get it to connect to stream music, it disconnects quite a bit and sometimes it takes me forever to get it to reconnect. I have to switch outputs in my car, turn off/on BT on the phone, etc just to get it to reconnect.
It is VERY annoying. Does anyone else have these issues? Why is this so much different than my Rezound? Anything that I can do to alleviate any of these issues? (Other than using a cable for streaming)
I had issues with my first GS3, it would make a clicking nose so they replaced it. This one works great. My wife's car is the only one with the BT connection but when ever I use her car it works seamlessly. Sorry you are having issues. I'd talk to vzw to see if they'll replace it. Have you modified your GS3? If you're running a custom rom then I would go through vzw.
The phone is 100% stock. I really don't want to return it for a refurbished phone though if I can avoid it.

My experience with stock on 3 vehicles, one Chrysler, one Ford, and one with an aftermarket Sony head unit was no issues whatsoever. As soon as I began to run CM10, I have had nothing but issues just like you described, connect to phone and no media, etc. I also have a friend who has a stock S3 with a Nissan and has no issues with Bluetooth. I did have issues with the Nexus in a Ford, and it was rectified when there was a Sync update. If you are current with updates in the car, I might consider a swap if I were you.
Stock phone syncs with my Ford just fine. On CM10 I have to use the alternate sync method for syncing. Does Infiniti offer that option? It may help.

My phone connects just fine to my '12 Charger, but the media info does not show up on my screen. I can fast forward, rewind, etc, but I do not get the album art and artist. Anyone have a fix for that? I have moved to PlayerPro because of the issues with the stock player on the phone, and I have enabled the avrcp support but still no avail.
Well I tried it again this morning on my way to work and it worked flawlessly. Both streaming and phone audio. The only thing different was that I installed the new update that Verizon just pushed out (kinda wish I didn't because of all of the crap they put on there, but oh well). At least my BT seems fixed now. Strange.
Thanks for the input from everyone!

Strange Bluetooth Audio issue. Suggestions?

I have a strange issue that I'm hoping somebody here can shed some light on. My Nexus 5 is running stock KitKat ROM with Franco Kernel & GravityBox Xposed module.
The Bluetooth has always worked fine and paired up well with my car without any noticeable audio issues. However, last week I got a pair of cheaper Arctic brand (yes the same Arctic that makes case fans. LoL) Bluetooth headphones to have something wire free for when I go running (they get great reviews on Amazon). They are specifically these here:
http://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Blueto...0&sr=1-1&keywords=arctic+bluetooth+headphones
When they came in they paired up with my Nexus just fine and I had no audio cutting out issues over Wifi or LTE. Also worked great on phonecalls. The range is excellent as I can have my phone laying on my Kitchen table and be around 25 - 30 ft away across the house with a wall in between and audio doesn't cut out.
So fast forward to when I attempted to use them on a run. I have a Spi Belt to carry the phone when I run (it's basically a thin flexible waist belt with a stretchy thin neoprene pocket on the back to hold your phone snugly against your back (no bouncing) while your run. The first day I ran, I had the Nexus in the Spi Belt and the bluetooth audio signal cut in and out like crazy. The phone is in a thin neoprene pocket with only the bottom of my Nike Dri fit shirt covering it........and it's less than 3 feet from the Bluetooth headphones on my head. Needless to say I was very fruststrated.
I did some searching online and ran across some info on a possible bluetooth issue with the latest Qualcomm radio module update as well as people reporting Bluetooth issues in KitKat. One of the suggestions was disable the 5GHZ band for Wifi. I did this and when I ran the next day, with the same setup the audio only cut out a few times (instead of like 100 times the first day).
So my question is. Does anybody here know if there is a known Bluetooth issue? Is there a fix or workaround? I'm thinking it's related to the Bluetooth on the Nexus because the improvement was immense when disabling the 5GHZ on Wifi.
This weekend I am going to try turning the Wifi off completely, as well as testing my same running gear setup with my sister's iPhone 5S to prove the issue is with the Android/Qualcomm Bluetooth. It's a VERY annoying issue.
If I hold the Nexus in my hand while running, the audio is flawless. However, I think it's interference related somehow since making the adjustment to the Wifi Frequency really helped the issue, even when the Nexus was in the Spi Belt strapped to my back and under my shirt.
Any additional information or suggestion is extremely appreciated.

Ok, so I am still working on narrowing down the exact issue but I have been able to narrow the issue down some more. I tested with my Nexus 5 in the running belt this weekend when visiting my parents over WIFI & LTE and was unable to get the audio to cut out once. So at this point I do not believe the issue is directly related to the Bluetooth connection.
When I went out after work today the issue returned. However, today since it turned cool here I was just walking instead of running and carried the phone in my pocket.....so I started to check the screen when the audio cut out. I noticed that the mobile data connection had dropped from "LTE" to "H" (which I believe is 3G).
Whenever I am out running I have the Runkeeper App running (which uses GPS), and then Tune-In Radio to listen to sports talk radio (streaming low bitrate audio over LTE).
Until I started using the new Bluetooth Headphones, I was running the same route with wired Sony earbuds and I did not have any audio issues. So at this point I am thinking that since LTE dropped off, there is something about the combination of LTE, GPS, & Bluetooth being active at the same time that is causing interference and causing LTE to drop and switch to 3G, hence causing the audio hiccup. (like maybe it bouncing between LTE & 3G).
Any thoughts or additional ideas to troubleshoot further? Even though I don't want to my next step is to try with Runkeeper/GPS disabled and see if the issue is still present (I really need Runkeeper to track my distance). Whenever TuneIn, Runkeeper, & GPS & Bluetooth are all enabled, the Nexus RAM is only about halfway full.
Thanks for any additional suggestions. This issue is driving me nuts.

Another update....
Ok, I'm out of ideas. It makes no difference what apps are running and although LTE does drop to 3G in some areas, that doesn't appear to be causing any issues.
After doing some more googling I ran across a thread on Reddit where a few users had stated that using a custom kernel that has the minimum CPU frequency set at 300 MHZ which is lower than stock could cause audio stutter in some audio players. So I tried bumping my min cpu freq all the way up to 672 but that seemed to have no affect on my audio issue.
As a last resort to eliminate the Franco Kernel as a possible issue, I flashed back to 4.4.2 Stock Kernel.
I have the same audio issues on stock kernel as on Franco. At this point I guess I'm going to RMA the headphones to Amazon for a replacement pair.
Today while I was out running, the Bluetooth connection totally dropped twice. So the issue has to be with the headphones or the Bluetooth on my Nexus 5, correct?
This is one of the strangest issues I've ever had to troubleshoot on any equipment.

Same issue here but with a Bluetooth headset I use whilst on the motorcycle. It's pretty random when it happens though.. Some days it will be absolutely fine. Others (most of the time, unfortunately) it freaks out. I'll post back here if I figure out what's going on.

Cross-body interference........
Well after some more scouring the net I ran across this info. Looks like a crappy issue to have.
Cross-body Interference
A little known fact about Bluetooth is that the radio signals do not go through your body very well. This is because Bluetooth's radio frequency is blocked by water, and the human body is made up of mostly water. If you keep your cell phone in your pocket and your headset in your opposite ear, then it is possible the connection may be weak, which can cause some interference issues. Many cell phone manufacturers are aware of this issue and have attempted to compensate by boosting the power of the Bluetooth radio.

I am going to give the Motorola Motorola S10-HD Bluetooth headphones a try and see if I have any better results with them. I just don't see how you can EVER have direct line of site with your phone in your pocket or strapped to your back in the Spi Belt.
Some equipment must have fewer issues than others because I would think this would be something a LOT of people complained about, but I had trouble running across this possible issue on the net.

Same Nexus 5 bluetooth issue
I also have a nexus 5 and I am experiencing the same issue with my Denon bluetooth headset.
At first I thought the noise was caused by the Runkeeper app together with my music app, because when I just use Google Play Music I experience less interruption of the Bluetooth signal.
Did you find a solution to your Nexus 5 Bluetooth issues?
I have experienced the same thing. Just bought SONY MRD-10RBT headphones which cost me some good dime. and I use bluetooth audio streaming from my Xperia Z3. I put phone in my front jeans pocket and I get hiccups every 1-2 minutes.
what the hell?? is the technology still so inferior??? can anything can be done about this?

Bluetooth Issues connecting in Car

In my corvette and my cadillac my bluetooth wont stay connected for music after i leave the car and return back into car, Ill have to delete it and repair to stream music bluetooth. anyone having these same issues with there Tmobile Lg G5? because if not ill return mines
I have a similar issue. I have Bluetooth headphones I always wear. And I have a Bluetooth connection in the car. When I get in the car it tries to play over the car (said it would play audio over the last Bluetooth audio connection connected the first time it paired) but I hear nothing. If I change the connection between either Bluetooth connection I get no audio. I can only get audio if I play it directly on the phone or I turn the headphones off, then restart whatever app I was using to play music. It is quite a pain.

try in your rolls royce and your aston martin and see if you can replicate the problem, OP.
[jk but we need more info: factory or aftermarket bluetooth receivers in these vehicles? how did they behave with connecting to different devices via bluetooth? mine is an aftermarket stereo and it connects automatically in about 30-60 seconds or i can just open bluetooth settings and select my stereo's name and its instant. never have to re-pair.]

In my car I am using a cheap usb Bluetooth dongle connected to audio in port. I connect fine. It actually connects very quickly and from much further distances as my previous phones. Main issue is the sound seems to go nowhere if I have more than one Bluetooth device connected at once.

I have the same issue with my JVC Bluetooth car radio... What I have done to resolve the issue soo far is turn the bluetooth off through the quick menu then start my vehicle, turn bluetooth back on and it works properly then.
I have my radar detector connected via Bluetooth and my car , stock radio 2012 camaro .. I will be listening to music then randomly it goes blank forcing me to wait for a disconnect and reconnect again to hear anything

Had This Issue With My Car and the LG V10 & G4 But not G5
Maybe just maybe there are 2 different chipsets for bluetooth. I had this issue you're talking about in my 2016 Honda HRV with both of LG previous phones, LG V10 & G4. Typically, they do fix this issue with updates however I think it might be "deeper" than that... if there's 2 different bluetooth chips being put into phones it might explain the issues that some people get and others do not. I know when I planned on getting the LG G5, I made sure it was not at the store where I would have to give over my Jump On Demand phone immediately, my S7 Edge, before I confirmed this issue was not present with the G5. At any rate, I lucked out I guess because knock on wood, no issues. Don't know if would could ever confirm different chips but hopefully they release a bug update to fix soon. :good:

Mine worked fine for the first day or soo then started having issues....Weird thing is that I never had issues with my V10 and the same radio
I have this exact issue... can't quite figure out who to talk to about it (ex. Marshmallow Android or LG support) I've tried more than 1 LG G5 phone and the same thing occurs across what appears to be all GM manufactured vehicles (of which I'm assuming doesn't necessarily have to do at with any manufactured GM vehicle, just coincidental.) Odd part of it is, when making calls through Bluetooth, that always works, no having to pair/unpair.
I too have wondered if this is primarily with GM vehicles. Had a rental Suburban that had the exact issue as OP. Luckily my '16 Canyon does not but then the reason I had the Suburban was because the dealer was doing the Android Auto update on my truck (among other things). Not sure if the issue would have existed previously in the truck since I didn't have the phone at that point. I've had no issue with Bluetooth on any other device though. On a truck forum I frequent though, others are having the same issue but with different phones.

the issue I have is when I have two bluetooth devices connected... so I have my hbs800 already on and streaming and I get to my truck and turn it on. At this point my phone now sees the Pioneer deck and connects to it, however randomly like 1 a week it will connect only call audio, not media. I've tried power cycling the deck, my headphones, basically everything but the bluetooth on the phone and it will never connect to media only call audio. I power cycle just the bluetooth on the phone and with no issue it will connect through media.
Having the same issue with my G5 connecting to my 2015 Colorado. Initial pairing music streams fine. Shut the truck off and turn it back on, everything reconnects, but no audio is heard. Have to completely unpair and delete connections and start over to get it back working. I hope this gets fixed soon!
Works fine in my Acura ILX stock radio
Seems to be a compatibility issue with GM products. Have the same issue with both my '16 GMC Canyon and a rental Suburban. Very irritating. At least with my Canyon I can plug the phone in and use Android Auto, which works well.

The BT is total garbage on the G5. I use LG tones at work. I'll be walking around the shop which can be noisy and music will just stop. After the machinery quiets I'll realize the music is playing from the phone speaker. On my way to work this morning I'm getting into The Sickness and it's just picking up and all the sudden the music stops and starts playing through the phone speaker. I pulled over and restarted my car, it reconnected so I took off again and 30 seconds later it did it again. It happened once before while playing Let It Go for my kids so I wasn't even mad about that but today I almost lost my ****...
How fo i connect my LG G6 to my Kenwood...it asks for passkey and o put in 0000 and say wrong passkey
