Hello there, i am new to this forum. I bought my Samsung galaxy s6 from a friend who had it rooted. the phone working perfectly fine till i install S health to check out the heart rate sensor. i found out that that stress level monitor or heart rate sensor is not available on the phone. i have installed other heart rate monitor apps as well but all it does it flashes the flash light and is not that accurate. so i was wondering if any one of you could assist me on this.

HI Run Enthusiasts,
Who is running? and which Bluetooth heart rate monitors are you using with your Samsung galaxy s3 Mini?
Can any one recommend this one or is there a cheaper one out?
Thanks
Hello I actually do not run. But my Dad use this heart rate app. Instant Heart Rate is the most accurate Heart Rate Monitor app for any smartphone and it does not need any external hardware.
Hello everyone!
I'd like to know if it's possible to measure my heart rate using the S-Health App while running / doing a workout.
The app lets me measure my heartrate manually, but it won't influcence for example the calories I burned or other statistics.
Isn't there a way to measure my heartrate (intervalls) and let it be part of my statistics and workouts?
(Sorry for my not so good english)
Thanks in advance and cheers from Germany
While I don't know if the heart rate sensor could read your heart rate while running, measuring your heart rate every 5 minutes would not be very precise image of the intensity of the run.
Distance and time spent running would actually be a better. So either get a chest strap that measures heart rate continuously or just input the time and distance manually.
Thanks for your reply.
Question is: if I get a chest strap, will my heart rate then be part of my statistics during workouts automatically?
And yes... in some slow workout parts I am easily able to measure my heartrate on my S6 still running.
The heart rate sensor on the phone definitely won't help you while running. You have to get your finger on it just perfectly and hold really still. I find it absolutely the worst and most useless feature on the phone.
As for whether a chest strap would integrate with S Health, not sure, but I'm sure you could probably find a better app out there somewhere with chest strap support.
Anything to use besides s health that is pre loaded on phone? Thanks!
My phone is Galaxy Note 4 N910U. There is no heart rate option available in my S health. I run official Marshmallow amd have rooted it. Please help me. How do i get the heart rate option back?.
im running Xtrestolite Deo Mod 3.3 6.0.1 on my galaxy s6 with arter97 kernal version 21.0 the fast charge work amazing
it charge quick no matter screen is on or off or i use map , youtube or whatsapp . when i switched to nougat custom rom and official stock rom the fast charge doesn't work any more when screen is on and using any app at the same time but its not the problem in Marshamallow roms . when screen is off fast charge works fine . im asking if any one else have this issue or know any thing or fix ? is it related kernal or is it noguat probelm ? thanks in advance
Can't say I've seen that issue on MM systems; perhaps it's a temperature preservation scheme? I've noticed my phone can get rather hot when fast charging; that in addition to heat generated under use could easily overheat the phone, and if not to a temperature harmful to the electronics, certainly able to damage the battery and reduce its longevity.
