Turn off your phone, and then turn it on pressing and holding Volume Up, Home, and Power button at the same time until you see a warning. Then press Volume Up to continue, and navigate using volume keys and select wipe cache/factory reset with the Home button, then reboot.
Please note that by doing this all your data will be lost.

Thanks uzair

[Q] About that broken power button. How to repair the hardware problem?

Hello there.
I finished in a problem that seems to happen quite often.
My power button does not respond anymore.
I have been deeling since yesterday with it thanks to this thread.
But now i have the phone in a bootloop thanks to a damaged ROM file...
- i can get to bootloader but power and volume keys do not respond,
like the power button is stuck being pressed, and adb does not see the device
- nothing else works.
I have to leave tomorrow for another country, so i am asking here for a quick solution.
Did anyone managed on his own to fix the problem which seems to be hardware?
Can anyone post a video or photos on how to open the Nexus and what to do to fix the button, or is it something that only the samsung service can deal with?

Can't power on my Tf700 - power button not working

Hi everyone,
Today i faced a problem with my tf700T, i tried to power it on but i couldn't.
I tried all the following steps but with no luck at all:
1. Normal press on power button, nothing happens.
2. Cold reset (pressing power & volume down buttons for very long time), nothing at all (no vibrations, not a single sign of life).
3. pressing reset button. nothing
4. suspecting that it's a screen problem. i pressed volume down/up , but no vibration occurs (i.e. the tablet is not turned on)
The tablet is fully charged, when i connect it to the charger the led shows green light.
I tried to connect it also using usb cable to a pc (led doesn't show any light) and left it for hours. tried to power on again, but no luck. Needless to mention that it's not detected by pc also, since it's turned off.
Now i am out of ideas, i can't think of anything else to do.
If anyone can help me with anything to try, i will be very thankful.
Thanks
PS: i searched before posting this thread but i didn't find a relevant post. If there's a similar post, please guide me to it and i apologize for duplicating it.

I think you alredy tried everything in the book. It's time to send it out for repair. Note: Even some how it turn itself back on later, I still recommend to send it out, because it's not NORMAL at all, possible defective Power button, main board etc...

Thank you, i wanted to make sure i didn't miss anything. I will contact their support.
But i'm curious about "turning itself back on later", do you know how could this happen and how much does it take to occur ?

[Q] Motorola RAZR XT912 HELP!!

Hello all,
Just bought this phone on amazon and for the first day I had no issues using it at home. All of a sudden is will not pick up the radio signal. Example, if I wake it from sleep mode, I can see it shows either 3 or 4g sometimes with the bars showing maybe 3 to 1, but as soon as I try and do anything, I get the no service or network not available. The wifi is fine, but I need the phone to work. When I am at work, the phone functions fine. Just seems my area.
Also if the phone works fine else where and not home, I take there is nothing wrong with the phone itself just the area. My wife has an iphone 3g and she has no issues as did I when I had a 3g phone.
Now if I do not touch the phone, I can get calls, messages but if lets say answer the phone or messages if I am lucky the one signal bar will stay on long enough to allow me to answer the call or message which is not always the case.
One option is a Signal booster at home.
Question is it is running the jelly bean 4.1.2 if I downgrade back to ICS, does anyone know if this would improve my signal? Also how do I restore back to ICS on a non rooted phone?
Does ICS have better radio signal?
Thank you
.
First of all, you need to wipe data cache.
You can do that so:
Power off a phone.
Press and hold both volume buttoms and then press and hold Power buttom untill you'll see white text.
By volume down key choose recovery and press volume up. After some time you'll see a died android. You should enter to a recovery, pressing a volume and poewr keys (but not hold them). Then choose wipe data cache and press power button. Then choose reboot now. That's all.

Please, help me.

BSOD - Can't get safe or recovery mode either

Hi folks. I've got a problem that I don't see anything quite matching in here. I have a Straight Talk/Verizon GS7. Last night I installed an app do to USB tethering on it. It worked great for the testing. After I disconnected and it sat idle for a while, I heard a notification sound and the blue light started flashing. I push the home key and the "back" and "window" key lit up, but the screen is black.
So here's what I've tried so far.
I tried to hold the power button to turn the phone off. Nothing.
I can soft reset by holding volume down and power. I get the splash screens for GS7, Samsung and TracFone. Then BSOD.
I can't get safe mode. I can't get recovery mode.
I can get to download mode. "Volume down, home, power"
The phone has developer tools turned on and USB debugging is enabled. Is there a way to do anything helpful from download mode? I'm not too concerned about losing data, so flashing a new ROM is fine by me.

hi
Seem like flashing a new firmware may be the reasonable option...
Try flashing first with home_csc if you know what your CSC is at the moment..that way you may avoid losing your data
if that option is off the table...then use CSC and flash/ format your phone...
for your reference check here

Pay attention to step 6 if you use CSC
Thank you for the response. While I was downloading the ROM I came across "Vysor" and was able to use it to control the phone. Using it I was able to get the phone to power off and get into recovery mode. I wiped the cache partition and uninstalled the Tether app and all is good now. Now I just have to decide whether or not to cancel the RMA that Straight Talk is sending me...

great to know you solved.
If you know what caused the problem and fix it , i would keep the phone you have , was new when you got it right?
