Hi everyone,
Today i faced a problem with my tf700T, i tried to power it on but i couldn't.
I tried all the following steps but with no luck at all:
1. Normal press on power button, nothing happens.
2. Cold reset (pressing power & volume down buttons for very long time), nothing at all (no vibrations, not a single sign of life).
3. pressing reset button. nothing
4. suspecting that it's a screen problem. i pressed volume down/up , but no vibration occurs (i.e. the tablet is not turned on)
The tablet is fully charged, when i connect it to the charger the led shows green light.
I tried to connect it also using usb cable to a pc (led doesn't show any light) and left it for hours. tried to power on again, but no luck. Needless to mention that it's not detected by pc also, since it's turned off.
Now i am out of ideas, i can't think of anything else to do.
If anyone can help me with anything to try, i will be very thankful.
Thanks
PS: i searched before posting this thread but i didn't find a relevant post. If there's a similar post, please guide me to it and i apologize for duplicating it.

I think you alredy tried everything in the book. It's time to send it out for repair. Note: Even some how it turn itself back on later, I still recommend to send it out, because it's not NORMAL at all, possible defective Power button, main board etc...

Thank you, i wanted to make sure i didn't miss anything. I will contact their support.
But i'm curious about "turning itself back on later", do you know how could this happen and how much does it take to occur ?

Hey guys.
I have an interesting problem. My Fuze battery drained a few days ago. After I plugged it back in and booted the phone, there is no light on the screen, keyboard or the button and no charging like shows up on the center circle.
After plugging it into the wall and powering it up, i can hear the phone booting. Once booted i can call the phone from another phone, the phone ring and I can press the talk button and take the call/press end to end it.
I tried doing a (blinded since there is visual light) hard reset (stylus/power button/volume button down/up combo) but unfortunately I have one of the EnergyROMs where the volume button functionality was not working so i dont think .
I also tried plugging the phone into USB to see if i can flash another rom, but the computer does not even recognize a device has been plugged in (even if tried searching from it using device manager)
Searching the posts have not yielded any information. Should I consider this phone dead?
Ali
Do a search on the MTTY tool, this might be able to connect & hard reset the device. Keep playing with it, you may get lucky or get some better advice soon ! Good luck
Hi!
Using fwdn I bricked my tablet. It wont even power on.
If I keep power button PC will detect the tablet by the USB port but if I release it it will disconnect from usb.
With power button pressed you can forward boot.img, recovery.img, etc. but when I release it it will disconect from USB. If I press the button after forwarding firmware it wont power on.
I think it it not 100% dead but I dont know what to do.
I guess the partitions are broken (internal filesystem).
Does anyone have an idea or a suggestion of what should I do? There is nothing else to loose here so we can experiment
Thank you!
I'm guessing this is similar to other things I've read where people flash with other images that isn't from the iM7. I did the same thing, but mine would just flash a quick second of the splash screen then the screen would be black.
Try this...plug your tablet in with the power adapter (might work with USB too). Then hold down the home button, press the power button but keep holding the home button for about 30 seconds. If you can get into the recovery screen you should be alright.
You can check this thread:
http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...imito-im7-market-restore-firmware-update.html
I've been researching for days now to get this one I got off craigslist to work right (still not 100%) but it at least boots up.
Did you guys get an answer to this issue yet? I tried upgrading my iMito7 and completely bricked it. the damn thing won't even power on. I'm experiencing the exact same issue. The keys no longer function, the screen won't power up yet the light in the back is green indicating that it's fully charged.
trashed it
Hey guys,
I unlocked my TF700T using the Asus unlock tool, then rooted it with Kingo App.
I opened a terminal on the device and ran "su" to verify that I had root, which worked I did.
I then installed com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup ("Titanium Backup ★ root") and began a full backup, but at 65% my Internet connection dropped (not sure if related, but interesting timing) and the system froze. After 10 minutes at 65% I powered off the device in an attempt to reset.
However, the device now will not start. The screen remains unlit. Charge LED will not light. Holding Power for 6 seconds and holding Power + VolDown result in a short (500ms?) vibrate, but nothing more.
I have not yet tried a paperclip reset, or connecting the dock. I have tried connecting to both USB and power. With USB, Windows 8 detects it as a crashed device (no surprise there) and fails to install a driver.
I suspect I'm hosed, but I'd be interested to learn why.
Any theories or suggestions?
---
Android 4.2.1
Firmware V10.6.1.14.10
Same behavior with dock connected.
After connecting power through the dock, the charge LEDs have both lit.
Ah just re-read and realised you only get a vibration but no screen..... Bummer - not sure what to suggest for that one.
Well, thanks for trying
Sell it for parts, I reckon.

Since you don't have much options, you can try these. I think that there were a few users were running into this problem and tried this. Some reported back that it was not working and some did not say anything. So I don't know if it works or not but you could give it a shot.
Try these combinations:
1. Hold the power button + volume up. You will feel the first vibration and keep holding both buttons until you feel the second vibration. As soon as you feel the second vibration, you need to release the volume up button But you must keep holding the power button. You need to hold the power button until you feel the third vibration. The third vibration is when your device is trying to boot up. You may want to try a few times with those sequences above in hope that it will bring up your bootloader.
2. If the above sequences don't work out for you, you can try this second solution. However, you need to hold both power button + volume down this time with those sequences above. Please report back with the outcome, thanks and good luck...:fingers-crossed:
Hi everybody!
I checked through all threads here about my problem, but could not find a solution.
One day ago the battery of my tab ASUS TF700 fully drained.
So I connected the tab to the charger and in some time tried to turn on it.
Nothing happened, it just started vibrating constantly.
The only method helped me stop vibration is hard reboot (power + volume).
When I hold only power button it stops vibrating for a second, make short vibration, again pause and then starts vibrating.
Connection to the monitor by HDMI didn't show anything.
I didn't do any updates right before this accident.
No root, no unlocks etc.
Please help me, I am desperately frustrated.
PS. there are some old trends with the similar problems, but without solutions.

Can you boot into the bootloader?
Push and hold Volume Down (left side of the rocker) and Power. The tab should vibrate twice, let go when you see tiny script and three icons.
Push Volume Up with the RCK icon flashing. If you get an Android falling over with an exclamamtion mark, you're good: your stock recovery is working.
You probably corrupted your system when you let the tablet crash in the middle of something. If the stock recovery is still working you can re-flash the firmware. Let me know if you can get there and I'll tell you how.

Hi,berndblb!
Thanks for advise.
Unfortunately my asus doesn't stop vibrating when I push and hold Volume Down (left side of the rocker) and Power.
So there are two options:
1. If I push and hold Volume Down (left side of the rocker) and Power,
then it stops vibrating for a while, makes one short vibration and continues vibrating constantly without any interruptions.
2. If I push and hold Volume Up (right side of the rocker) and Power,
then it stops vibrating for a while, makes one short vibration and finanlly stops vibrating. One trick: I have to push and hold till the moment when the device makes one short vibration, and only after the moment when vibration stops finally I can release the buttons.
That is all I managed to discover pushing and holding buttons.
Sorry friend, I think your tablet is hosed....
Pushing Power and Volume Up (right side of the rocker) should get you into APX mode, which is usually the last thing working if everything else is messed up.
But even if you get to APX - it's useless unless your tablelt is unlocked and you previously created your device specific nvflash blobs.
I'm afraid a new main board is your only option....

I have finally won
The solution was simple:
1. I let the tablet vibrating till the battery totally discharged (it took the whole night).
2. Vibration of course stopped.
3. I charged the battery a little and switched on the tablet.
4. Tablet launched in normal regime, all data and system were saved, even after I tried to make a hard reset (I suspect it didn't work out).
After that it only once rebooted without any reason, but that's all.
So several days passed, the tablet works without any problems.

It is good to hear that you have your tf700 back....:good: Thanks for the report back...
BTW, are you going to unlock your device and generate the Nvflash blobs? If it occurred once, It could come back again and hope for lucks again... Just my two cents..
Hello,
[admin; if this post is more appropriately placed somewhere else in the forum, then please move it]
Before giving up on my cellphone and resort to ordering a new one I'll ask for help here too.
Phone is a Kolina K100+ (chinese phone) running android 4.2. It is rooted but it is still running stock ROM (to my knowledge, I bought it new and have not tinkered with the ROM).
Current situation is that the phone is completely dead.
Dead as in turned off, does not light the LED when inserting the charger cable, does not react to any button presses, or combination of button presses.
I have actually no idea what have caused this situation. Granted, the phone has accidentially been dropped twice the last week but it did not turn itself off at any of the occasions. Yesterday, I noticed that the phone had turned off and I tried to turn it on. After a while I got it to go at least to the boot screen but after having to put it away (was actually standing in a line and it was my turn...) it was dead when I was able to reach for it again and after that the phone has been completely dead.
When connecting the USB cable to the computer the computer detects an unknown USB device but cannot seem to install any drivers.
Button combinations I have tried;
- power on button
- long press (~1minute) on power button
- volume down + power button
- volume up + power button
- volume up + volume down + power button
- home button (touchscreen button that is) + power button
...no luck with either combination, no reaction at all from the phone.
I have also managed to pull off the back cover from the phone and was able to disconnect the battery connector and let it lay completely powerless for a few hours before reconnect the battery to the phone and reassemble the back cover.
Any suggestions on if there are any other measures I can do or if there is something I have overlooked in trying to resurrect it?
