When I try to set up a credit card on Android Pay I get this error message in a popup:

That kind of sucks because a big reason I wanted to buy a phone with a fingerprint reader was to use Android Pay. Has anyone gotten it to work?
Got the same error
Same error here, too
I got the same error. So far, it's the most disappointing thing I've encountered.
This interest me, might be a deciding factor. Hope Blu figures it out.

That's an interesting possibility; I didn't consider that Google may have a whitelist of supported devices. If I had to guess, though, I wouldn't think so. There are thousands of Android devices out there more introduced every day so trying to manually maintain a list like that would be difficult even for Google.
I suspect the problem is something worse. The version of Android on this phone appears to be far from stock Android. I think core pieces of the OS are modified enough that Android Pay's checks that you are running on a secure, uncompromised device fail. Few of the built in screens and features look like vanilla Android. The OS on thsi phone really does look like a toned-down version of MIUI from a couple of years ago. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's definitely not Android as Google thinks it should be.
I reported the issue to Google from within the Android Pay app. I think you guys should do the same to bring this to their attention. Maybe they can pressure Blu to fix the issue?

Hi, Pedro.
I hate to hear that you are having issues with the initial set up of Android Pay on your device. Please reply to this email with a screenshot of the action that you're trying to perform. I'll be happy to investigate further for you, and the screenshot will give me a running start on your issue!
Please send me an image of your full screen, not just a portion of it (such as just the error message) so that I can analyze all of the clues and help solve your issue faster!
(If you don't know how to take a screenshot, here are some easy instructions. You can also just take a photo of your screen with a phone or camera.)

Hi, Pedro.
I'm sorry that you ran into an error message on your Android Pay app! I understand how frustrating that can be.
The specific error message that you saw means that your device can't support Android Pay's advanced security. If you've heavily modified your device, may I recommend returning it to its original state and trying again? Otherwise, you may want to use Android Pay on a different device for the most secure payments.
If you have any more questions, please reply to this email or let my team call you. We're happy to help!

Hi, mhajii210.
Thanks for contacting Google and for your interest in Android Pay!
Yes, I have noted your request to have this device checked for eligibility and having the Android Pay be made available for your device too.
That being said, I have laid out some info about the eligibility for Android Pay.
The Android Pay app is compatible with Android phones running KitKat (4.4) or higher with "near field communication" (NFC) tap and pay capability. (For security, Android Pay isn't compatible with rooted/modified devices.)
To check whether your phone supports tap and pay, please see our Help Center.

Nexus line of phones are unlocked but of course they support Android Pay. As long as the phone uses a US SIM card on an approved carrier, it is fine. The problem is this phone is running an Android version that has not been certified to use Android Pay. It is possible if both Google and Blu work together that may change in the future. I think it really depends on how well this phone sells. If there is enough of a demand it'll happen. At this point I'm not holding my breath. It never hurts to try though since it is in Google's best interest to get Android Pay to work on as many phones as possible.
Great!

There is an update as of 11/6/2015 on Android Pay app, but the device still incompatible.
So, i haven't verified it works yet, but with HTC Sense loaded as my launcher I was able to activate my card in Android Pay. This didn't work previously but this time i was using a cellular connection versus wifi to activate. I will try to test it tonight.

I took the latest source code for Email.apk from CM7 and modified it to remove any Exchange Security policy enforcement. Benefits of doing it this way rather than using an older version of Email.apk is you get the new code updates.
Anyways enjoy and if you want to include this or redistribute please just give me credit for the modification.
Please note that this modified Email application is available for educational purposes only.
The following is a brief summary of what the modifications made to this application do:
NOTE: Security Policy is abbreviated as SP
Disable requirement for a local Device Admin which disables the ability to Remote Wipe and to require a pinlock to use the device
Acknowledge to the remote Exchange server that the SP's which this device supports are currently active. We do not fabricate the list of SP's that are supported. So if the current Android 2.3 src code does not support a specific SP then we do not lie and state it does. This means you could still be rejected by the remote Exchange server and not be able to sync with it. Stating what we support and actually supporting them are two different things.
If you want access to the modified source code you can grab it from HERE

Well, credit for the mod not any prior changes to this application's src code from the CM fork. As always I respect all developer's contributions no matter how small.
Also since this is a mod and not enhancement I'll never push these changes to the CM git repo to be added. I think Email has not had any individual contributions and is stock android 2.2.

Thank you everyone that worked on this apk. I have been wanting this sense cm 6 came out. Cause back on cm rc1 it didn't have the security settings, which I loved very much. There is only one thing I keep having is it keeps asking for me to set the security up. Idk if that's suppose to happen or not but I just wanted to let everyone know that it works but every hour or so it asks for security to be setup. Again thank you all.

No it should not be asking you every hour for security. Make sure you removed the device admin (Android Settings -> Security) and removed the pin lock after you copied over the modded Email.apk. You do not need to reboot. I modded the src code to not check for security requirements on every ping to the Exchange server which is what you are experiencing. That would lead me to believe you're in a semi-modded state. Make sure you clear the notifications before you setup your Exchange account again or that notification "could" trigger the security requirement again. Remember, all this has to be done before you set up your Exchange account again.
According to the commits at the github, there should be an option to change the account color somewhere, but I don't see anything like that under account settings. Am I missing something?
Also, is it so hard to make html emails render properly? This is a must in my opinion and should be stock, but I wonder why our kind devs don't do something in that direction...

The past two versions of android were lacking in proper exchange support.
I'm just putting it out there as a warning for people who are using exchange for the companies they work for.

This mod is for those who require Exchange support but their company is too cheap to pay for a decent corporate phone with Exchange support.
I'm a software developer for instance and my company only provides phones to people with C-level titles (CEO, CIO, CTO, etc). So I use my personal phone to connect via ActiveSync but do NOT want our Exchange environment having the ability to remote-wipe my phone.
To add more humor to the issue, those in our company who get phones are getting ones still on Android 1.6 which doesn't include proper Exchange security support so it's a null/void issue here.

Uninstall the current email app with titanium then flash the one mentioned in this thread or the one in urge link above.
Thanks disgustip8ted ,
But the one from the link is an rar this one is a apk.
How do I install the apk one? app installer no longer works with Froyo.
If your exchange admins are cool with this you can install the apk with astro, or email it to your self,g mail will give you the option to install. Imo just un rar the file from mtwebster and install and keep a good back up in case the exchange admins get overzealous and wipe your phone.
Lets not overlook individual folder sync too. This is great!
Now my question... Can us special children running blur on devices like... Oh say a droid2 use this at all? I'm guessing no because of the blur mail app, but I hope I'm wrong.
Our organization recently disabled Exchange Activesync because of things like this...
I'm not trying to piss on this thread, but this is a serious problem for adoption of Android in the Enterprise.
All of our Android users hate us now. They just bought the phone that "Does" except it doesn't. ;/
I work in a industry with regulation that has certain standards for how e-mail is stored on portable devices, and when I got wind of this we had no choice but to ban android devices from synchronizing with exchange.
(and that stinks, but there's no way around it)
I know that with such a open platform this was inevitable, but by supplying this to the masses you have given a "proof of concept" to the paranoid.
This will without doubt result in businesses not adopting android in the enterprises that are regulated. (Or turning to 3rd party solutions, offhand I think of Good for Enterprise.......whom we pay dearly for closed source secure E-Mail on Android).
That said, I can't help but wonder if there is any way for an exchange administrator to detect something like this. (I doubt it) Because if so I'd make sure that the end users disregarding policy (which is regulatory driven) were fired.
Also, if this is meant for small businesses, can't the exchange admin just disable the security in the policy on the exchange side. I don't buy that this is for small companies.
Anyone else not getting sound on a call from Viber? People can hear me...I can't hear them.
Hi,
This is a member of Viber's development team.
@spielnicht - what device do you have? Do you have stock or custom ROM?
Which Viber version?
Thanks in advance.

Viber no sound on GARMIN ASUS A10
Hullo,
same problem here. I got a GARMIN ASUS A 10 with Android 2.1-update1 and VIBER is 2.1.2 version
Many thanks for any help
leo
This problem can have 2 different reasons:
1. The device is not officially supported by Viber. Unfortunately, that's the case of GARMIN Asus...
2. Sometimes Custom ROMs may be the source of this problem.
Android GARMIN-ASUS: Why Not?
Hi there and thank you very much for your reply.
To be very honest with you, I don't see clearly the point why it isn't.
I know many, many GARMIN-ASUS happy users here in Europe who would be very happy to use your excellent peace of App along with all the other working ones...Actually, it is the first time I'm able to fully install an App from the Android Market which is not properly working on my device...with no prior information :-( ...By the way, the device is (apparently) working fine with all other Viber features (especially texts, which is already quite nice)...and if there are no special (technical? commercial?) reasons, I wonder why you cannot work out this GARMIN-ASUS related sound issue as well...
Have an excellent day from Europe!
leo
Well,
As a company, we naturally have limited resources. We wish we could develop full compatibility for all devices out there, but unfortunately we can't.
We're looking at the global market shares of Android devices, and GARMIN-ASUS is one of the least popular ones (even though we acknowledge that it is not a "bad" device, etc.)
I didn't say we would neglect it, I just said it might take sometime before we attend to test it fully. In the meanwhile, if indeed you know so many Viber users who are longing for full compatibility, you may gather them and jointly open many ticket to our support team. The more tickets, the bigger chances that we will prioritize this task
Here's the link to our support team: http://support.viber.com
no entry for device compatibility or similar
Well,
I'd like to do that but, apparently, the wizard for support queries doesn't allow me to do that (I mean, either to me or to the thousands of other Garmin-Asus all around ) as, apparently, there is no- entry for such an issue.
leo
You can find a way to simply open an individual ticket and then write your request (again - please note that only if it is a joint request by many users, then it will have effect).

I'm just saying that this list would take A LOT of time to research. We are all just volunteers here, what you're asking for would require too much time and work, we have lives and responsibilities that are more important than spending hours upon hours or even days/weeks searching to give you a solid answer. And I doubt you'll get a full and accurate list from random members posting apps for the list. As I said, if you want a full, complete list, you're on your own, no one is gonna put that much time and work into finding an answer for you, unless of course, you pay them for their time/work. Was I clear that time?

Thank You looking forward to a great app.
Thanks for owning the maintenance & upgrade of this beautiful app.
However, I have few issues related to APKGrabber
- Whenever, i click Ignore button, in a few seconds, I see a FC.
This is on Asus Zenfone Max pro m1, stock android, non-rooted, bootloader locked, non-twrped phone
Log option do not work all the time. i see an empty screen while i click on log from the right 3 vertical dots
- I would like to visit APKmirror instead of downloading from it.
Is it possible to provide an option to copy the link ( I mean click to download / Long hold to copy the link kind of option)

I think if both methods ('old APKUpdater'; visit APKMirror and new APKGrabber; direct download) could be available as option in App preferences, that would be great and serve both needs.

Please add all dev related stuff to the GitHub issue tracker.
Btw, new release is out fixing/adding that stuff, see link above.
Best
Dennis
Latest v1.1.3 says it is still v1.1.2 when installed and the update notification shows up.
Thanks, fixed it now. Just download again.
Hi,
Artem here from APKMirror. I'm glad someone revived APK Updater, so kudos on that!
However, the setting you added to directly download from the site now turns the app into a leech which uses up our bandwidth without giving so much as an ad or page view in return. We had an understanding with the previous author about this, and because of them we actively helped him with the fast API and did not block his app. This direct download addition to APKGrabber now, however, goes against all of that.
Please remove it, as it's against our terms of service.
Thank you for understanding.

Hey,
sorry, didn't know about any agreements. New release is out, bringing back the old behavior. Furthermore, i deleted all previous artifacts containing that stuff.
@Archon810 is anybody actively maintaining the API? I would like to get in touch to propose some questions about it. That would help making APKGrabber an up-to-date, stable app.
Best

Hey Dennis,
Thanks for the swift action. We have been hosting APK Updater on APKMirror (last release is https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/rumbo...lease/apkupdater-1-5-11-android-apk-download/), and I'm open to now hosting APKGrabber too, as it's getting updates. Would you like that?
Would you like to chat further about the API? PM me and we can connect on Telegram.
Nice to see a friendly community
Just want put it out there because there are bound to be some people who decide to take the ****... what happens if people don't bother updating to the version that removes the direct download feature?
I'm hoping some action can be taken without penalising the developer, having detrimental effects on APKMirror and the average user

If there aren't to many probably nothing will happen otherwise direct linking will probably just be blocked.
Edit: I love the new ignore button right in the updates window.

Cool, was just putting it out there because more often than not its just a handful of people that tends to ruin it for others.

Yeah so far so good thank you for the updates. Continued fine tuning version detection would good.
When it would auto download from apkmirror we didn't see where it would download them too.
Is your app setup for the Google Feedback for when it crashes? I just sent a log of it crashing.
Can you please add play store link of the app to be updated?
Thank you.
Glad to see this project revived.
Though it still seems to struggle when in background on Pie - actually, I can't remember wether APKUpdater could even achieve a successful background scheduled search - it will start but won't ever finish.
Getting to its UI will show it still hasn't been able to fetch the installed apps' list & actually start the search. (VPN used + WiFi only setting ticked if relevant)
Also, APKGrabber updates never are found after just opening the app but only when a manual search is launched regardless of the auto option being active.
Also, if I may, I'd like to submit a couple of ideas :
- For when notifications are set to show up only when updates are available (or maybe even in other cases), I think it would be nice if the notification could get dismissed as the users gets to the available updates page.
- Available themes are ok but now not one seems coherent with the app's icon anymore. Replacing them with a tweakable theme engine would be better suited to each user's taste.
Great to see APKUpdater revived! It was a long awaited news!
Are you planning to increase API target to Oreo at least? This is one of the few apps on my phone that still targets Nougat
FYI, APKGrabber is available on F-Droid via the IzzyOnDroid Repo.
The app is now live at https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/hemker/apkgrabber/ too.
Basically the title. I live outside the US, is there anyway to sign up for the new One UI 5 Watch Beta within the Samsung Members app for people outside the US?
Is there anyway to trick the system to mock a US location?
Here's when Samsung will open a software beta program for the Galaxy Watch 4
FYI... Updated, May 25, 2022 (04:00 PM ET): Samsung has already opened the beta program for the Galaxy Watch 4, just a day after announcing it was coming. (per androidauthirity) https://www.androidauthority.com/one-ui-watch-beta-3168590/
forum.xda-developers.com
Forget it...
Last time it was also joke and nobody shared the update.zip...
Best Regards
But, how does that apply to my question? Did you even read what I posted? It relates to the Samsung Members Application.
You can think what ever you want...
Last time for 5 seconds only US and Korean user(s) benifit from Beta.
NOBODY else.
If you are able to to have US and/or Korean Account with US and/or Korean Member crap app... feel free to test the Beta.
Samsung do the same SH ehm thing again.
Why no International Beta?
Blame not me.
Talk to your """friends""" Samsung...
Good Luck.
Btw.
They allready finished the GW6 Firmware...
So maybe think what ever you want...
I am not here to make jokes....
It is nearly impossible...
Maybe ever you need VPN US...
As soon you are identified outside...
Your US or Korean Account is booom...
Since this f. 2way ...
No idea if you know your Phone send MCC and MNC infos?
From your REAL location... not your wet dream location...
Only way IMHO is we have update.zip
Then we can simple update manually with system exploit...
Again.
Feel free to find your own solution.
Feel free to ignore my long time knowledge with GW4 GW5 Firmware...
Your choice.
You can read or not... Not my problem...
Here example how you can apply update.zip with system shell exploit...
Firmware and Combination Firmware and FOTA Delta and CSC change and...
Looks like it could be harder since Tizen... A Stock Firmware for netOdin/Odin not available yet... B Combination Firmware not available yet C FOTA Delta File for study I have...
forum.xda-developers.com
IMHO chance is much higher if friendly US and/or korean users share update.zip
Because to catch this file is NO Rocket Science...
We have seen this often with Phones... users shared the update.zip
But again. Feel free to fake 2 way factor check for Samsung Account AND ugly Member App...
And fake real MCC and MNC as long as you can...
Here example.
Users from Phone world are able to share update.zip
[OneUI 4.0 Beta 1 & 2](EXYNOS) Update.zip for S21 / Plus / Ultra - Download OTA Link
So, now that we have OneUI 4.0 Beta 1 rolling out to countries (ofc only 7), it has come so far in Germany & Korea (as far as I know). So the rest of the world wants an update.zip link, so don't be selfish and please, if you have one, capture the...
forum.xda-developers.com
NO idea why it is impossible for GW4 and/or GW5 user(s)...
Maybe this time more luck...
Who knows...
Hope dies ever last...
You do have a point. But the route I chose was not answered upon. The update.zip will not satisfy my question, I want to be registered for the BETA under the Members app. Anyway, I recently found out a way to do it and that is to change your Samsung Account country. The change should be applied in 16 hours from stating this message and then I will reinstall Samsung Members under an US VPN, then apply for the beta legitimately. If anything goes wrong with my device I would be able to get a refund or a replacement device. That is the route I prefer. Not to be blacklisted.

But maybe better you satisfy me.
A
Last Beta was very short period of time... for Registration...
So time tick tack runs...
No idea if this time longer...
B
Your plan...
Fake 2 high secured in chain "Apps" in Samsung Knox world...
Maybe on unrooted Android 14 Phone or similar...
B.1
Samsung Account
To fake you are Us and/or Korean user
B.2
Samsung Members App
Which IMHO work together with Security Checks of Samsung Account...
C
Fake your network to be sure your Phone not send real location data like:
MCC
MNC
D
Please let me know if somebody can help you.
Best Regards
I forgot identifcation via IMEI...
But anyway.
If you have success.
Congratulation.
Best Regards and still good Luck.
Will give you an update once I get the approval.
Maybe only difference if we compare to last time...
The worst thing about Samsung’s One UI Watch 5 beta
Samsung fans are aware that the company has been testing the next major software update, Wear OS 4 and One ...
www.sammobile.com
Maybe not 5 minute period time... then closed.
@CertifiedWeeb
Feel free to give feedback for any result.
I have still nobody who shared the update.zip...
Like last Beta...
Best Regards

keep me updated if this works. Apparently the members app checks your country by using your sim card, so I removed my simcard, cleared the members app cache and storage, connected to a US server via a VPN, and then opened the members app. I managed to get the US version of the members app, but the beta program would not show up.
@niff2005
Please check also this Thread:
Beta is now live
Beta just went live this morning here in the USA. Joined via the Members App and am installing the beta now. As a side note, after joining, then trying to download the updated watch plug-in via the members app, it tells me I am not authorized...

I tried this and it also didn't show up for me. The Samsung Support team still hasn't changed the account country as yet. They did say 2-3 business days though.

My account country has changed, and I tried the above, even using a mock location app, and it still didn't show up. Welp. Atleast I got my Samsung Account country changed. I wanted it to be changed. I think the beta program is closed.
This beta is total garbage and has rendered my watch useless. Please help me get this beta garbage off my watch. Samsung tells me to send it to them for this and I have to pay because no longer in ****ty 1 year warranty.
@Jayman007
Please give Details about Model Name...
So """we""" can check if Firmware available for downgrade ATTEMPT.
Own risk.
As """we""" not know if Samsung do funny changes to netOdin support...
Example for you, what I """need""" to know.
SM-R870 ?
Or LTE Version like SM-R875U?
Best Regards
Please I still need update.zip for study...
I am from Germany.
So please userS from USA and Korea...
Please try to capture the FOTA Delta aka update.zip
Maybe this APK could help to find this Link...
