Hi there, I am currently having a bit of an urgent dilemma.
Basically, I'm wanting to send messages to a group of people, however every time I get this message propping up that there is a large number of messages.
Additionally, how on earth are you even meant to send group messages to people that you have grouped under the same group in contacts??? I'm lost with this new GUI.
Someone PLEASE save me.

Group Texting and Replying to Group Texts on G2x

Hello. I need some help with group texting on the G2x. You see all my friends friends have iPhones when the receive a group text then they can respond to the whole group.
Let's say person A texts person B, on person B's iphone he sees a text message from person A in his conversation list. Now lets say after that person A texts person B again along with person C,D,E, and F as well. Now on person B's iphone is a new thread listing person A,C,D,E separate from the original thread between A and B. Also, if person B replies to person A in the group thread then everyone else in that thread also receives the reply. It is sort of like a group conference call but for text messages.
Now when I receive a group text message from someone, I only see the original sender of the message not the other recipients nor can I reply to everyone in the group. My messages only go to the Original sender.
Is there a way to allow my phone to do this?

Have you tried 3rd party SMS apps like GO SMS Pro?
MIUI has something like this. When you text a group of people at once, it keeps everything in 1 thread. I don't know if your phone will send out multiple texts to everyone.
See on the iPhone it isn't really text messages... (I don't think). Once you send a group text, it converts it to a data IM. It still shows up in the Messaging program, but it isn't SMS.
To do something like this strickly with SMS, you'd be sending out 5-6 messages at a time every time you sent a comment. If EVERYONE's phone sent a reply SMS to EVERYONE, it would work. But I think the iPhones convert it over to data.

That's exactly what it is. It's iMessage. It only works between iPhones. Guaranteed if the other person does a group text to C,D,E,F, B will see all the group members because A sent B the message using an iPhone and B had an iPhone, but let's say that C doesn't have an iPhone, they won't know it was a group text.
Annoying, but meh.

[Q] Group Texting Issue

Hello,
I noticed an issue when receiving text messages from one person with multiple recipients. I'm not able to respond to everyone on the list. Only the original sender.
Even if I begin a new text thread by sending a message to multiple people, when they respond to everyone, it will begin separate threads from each person.
Is there a setting I am missing or do I need to download a 3rd party app?
Thanks!

[Q] Iphone Group Texting App

Does anyone know of an app that allows android phones to see iphone group chats as group chats rather than breaking everything down into individual text messages that way we can do a reply all rather than having to send the same message to everyone that is in the group? Thanks.

[Q] HELP - AT&T Group Messaging Limit

Whenever somebody includes me in a group message/text/conversation that has more than 10 people in it, my messaging app (Hangouts) splits the conversation into 4-5 different conversations each with 10 people. What i've noticed is that each conversation includes the same people but maybe 1 person different from the other conversations. Whenever somebody replies it puts his/her message on there own conversation with 10 people. But whenever the group message/text/conversation contains 10 people or less, it works just fine with no problems and I can see all the messages on a single chat window. Please help! is there anything I can do about this!? I never used to have this problem when I had Sprint.

Need help with a text message app

OK. this is the situation.
I am a communications officer of my motorcycle club. I Send out text messages several times a week to more then 20 members. We have an issue with people replying to those messages. We have members working or doing things and there phones blow up when people respond to the messages i send out. We need that to stop. I am looking for a way to send out a mass text to all members from a spoofed number or where NOBODY can reply. If they have any questions they have to use there chain of command and text message someone separately. I know there are business that kinda do something like that from random numbers.
