I recently got one of this phones off ebay deal. So far the phone has been really good (after going to 5.1.1) other than the battery life which is super terrible. I leave for office at 8AM and by the time I am back around 6:30 in evening its already down to 8-9% with barely 1 hour of SOT. While using the phone I can clearly see battery going down by 1 percent every two minutes.
One of the other things I noticed is it takes a while to charge battery. Almost takes 4 hours to charge it.
Have done everything listed in various thread on XDA to fix battery drain but nothing is helping. To summarize I have
- Rooted my phone
- Disable AT&T enhanced 4G LTE
- Tweak setting with kernel auditor
- Disable ATT bloatware
- Install greenify and amplify
- Installed CF.Lumen to control brightness
Not sure what I am missing here now. Any help is appreciated from you guys.
Does the phone feel warm on the back when it's just sitting?
If so, you probably have a runaway app. You can check the battery section in options and see what's eating battery.
I had this a while ago on nexus 5 with the ebay app, the same also happened to a friend of mine with the same app.
hello, there.
i had the same problem, it seems that your phone is not going to deep sleep mode.
i fixed my problem with Nitro X, you can find it here on xda.
now i am very happy with my battery, for example now it says on battery for 2 days 15h 29min 22s and still 60% battery remaining.
hope this helps.

It only gets warm when playing some games. I will look at some of the apps as you suggested. Thanks,

Thanks. I am gonna give it a shot. I see they have 2 versions - X86 and Non-X86. which one should I flash? Also since flex 2 doesn't support any recovery (twrp etc) should I just flash it with Flashfire app?
hello kunalmalviya,
i downloaded the non x86 (=the arm version).
i do not know about flashfire, you should ask on the forum.
Please click the thanks! button if that helped.
PEACE.
Try reflashing latest software via LG Flash Tool.
I have no issue with battery life. It is slightly better than on LG G2 which is awesome. (3-4 hours SOT without any problems, no tweaks, no root, brigthness on 100%, Wi-Fi, NFC and LTE enabled all the time, Google Now enabled, Google Location Services enabled and lot of apps running in background).

Details on my phone (just in case you want them):
-Device is on Weapon G2x 2.4 ROM
-Using JuiceDefender free
-Just got the device on the 26th of this month
-Background data is on, but as far as I know, no apps are on push notifications except for WhatsApp
-The only thing on auto sync my main gmail account, and Sync Gmail is the only item checked.
So this morning after I unplugged my phone, I stayed on 100% for about 1 hour and 10 minutes until I received a phone call (which was only 1 minute) then the battery finally dropped down to 99%.
So I thought cool, on idle I get around an hour before the percentage drops. Then I browse for about 15 minutes, then about 2 hours after that I send an MMS after looking at a picture in the Gallery app. So I put the phone down after noting in my head the percentage.
About 20 minutes later, I check my screen and see that the percentage dropped by 1%. Really weird. I didn't think too much about it but wish it wouldn't drop so fast. Then after another 15-20 or so minutes it drops 1% again. I'm not getting that 1% per ~1 hour drop rate on idle. I look into Battery use and see the Gallery app at the very top. Here's a picture of it:

*TLDR* - Was getting a 1% drop of battery life per ~1 hour of idling, went into Gallery app to send an MMS, then started getting 1% drop of battery life per 15-20 minutes of idling.
Really odd. Could the Gallery app being in the background be the reason for this weird battery drainage I'm experiencing? Or am I being too picky? Hahah. Thanks for reading and thanks for your input in advance. I do thank posts.
I think ur watching ur phone too closely cuz its new. I was doing that too. The battery is fine but using 4g+screen indeed drains the battery fairly quick.
Also remember that battery readings aren't always 1100% accurate, so it could drop 5% in a minute and then stay there for 2 hours

Cool thanks! I am probably getting crazy on checking my phone battery haha. Alright, sounds good. I wonder why they're not always accurate.
Bumping an old thread, but this is happening with mine also, if I open the gallery or camera for anything they are at the top of the list for battery usage all day. Do they stay on in the background and drain the battery?
From what I've seen it is a bug I'm the battery reporting stats.

Hello,
I am usin Huawei Ascend G510 for 5 days now. And I notify that battery usage for this phone is insane. Whili it is in waiting mode then battery laife is very good, during night loss of few % of battery.
Please see in image 2 huge drops around 14:00 and around 18:30.
At ~14:00 I drove and used waze for ~8 mins and battery dropped for 25%. Is this how it should be???
At ~18:30 I played game (not 3d, small game while waiting) and checked whatsapp messages and rss nes read. It is againe ~10 mins and loss of ~25% of battery.
The rest of time between 14 and 18 is working hours and emails incoming, rss feeds updating, calls incoming/ outgoing.
I think there is something wrong. Maybe Huawei has not that good optimized android version or some bugs draining battery while there is continuous usage.
Has anyone here ideas, or experience with the same phone?

I don't have your phone, but mine does that when the signal from the cell phone tower is weak or if I am using the GPS freatures You can test this by turning off the data connection and/or the GPS and seeing if either/both fixes your battery drain. If this is the case there are some tweaks you can try to make this less of a problem.
I noticed that my phone is most of time awake. And when check detailed battery consumption, then screen is only 5th, which should be somewhere in top. Why first 3 battery consumers are standby, idle and wifi? I don`t think this is normal. Even during nights my phone is awake. Installed some kind of wakelock app, and it shows that it is caused by exchange email.
Any ideas, what to do to find solution?
thanks
Get wakelock detektor from market. And then get greenify to kill your battery eaters.

I think it should work
Hey guys(and girls?),
Googled a lot and couldn't find a solution. Hope you can help me out. My problem is that my battery apparently is drained for 33% by the Android OS! Please see the screenshot:

Now, most of the time it was like 7% by Android, and I could easily use my phone a day with heavy usage. Now it's drained after 9 hours! I have no clue what the problem here is, and I hoped you might. Google doesn't help. Similar problems occur on the Nexus 4, Galaxy SIII etc. after a new update, but I haven't had a new update! Well, 2,5 weeks ago I flashed Xboost, but the battery was good(even a little better than stock). Only today I found that after 10 minutes listening music my battery went from 50% to 30%... Do you encounter such a problem? And have a solution?
P.S. I thought it might be caused by flashing the ICS.ftf for the E dual(needed for XboosT). Perhaps the system is constantly searching for the dual SIM that I don't have(Xperia E single SIM, but flashed ics.ftf for E dual as said before)? But nobody has reported this problem yet, so I'm not sure!
Device: Xperia E SS C1505. Rooted and unlocked bootloader.
OS: XboosT rom
Kernel: incluced in Xboost
All help is appreciated and I do not fear the thanks button !
Wtf. From 50% to 30% in 10 minutes... I'm almost at the point of reinstalling my ROM!
Edit(9 minutes later): and now it's magically at 43
Does someone know a fix?

I'm using CM10 which hsr0's kernel (made for duals), and yes, it sometimes happens to me too. But not this bad. Mine is usually that when I'm charging it shows "Charging, 62%" and when I take it out it becomes "Discharging, 70%".
Clear data of all apps under Android OS
Ok, now: it became only worse. The Android OS gave me only 2%, but instead of the OS draining the battery, the screen started to take up 80%. No problem, but my battery went 10% down in 10 minutes... So I backed-up my apps and data with TiBa, and did a factory reset! Which turned out the right thing to do, because my battery finally became normal. I got only 1% down with 25 minutes stand-by, and 5 minutes screen on :highfive: .
I read on another forum that after doing a factory reset it is recommended to drain your battery completely. let it off for 2 hours, and then charge it fully. Only then you should turn it on. This way Android ''learns'' the capacity of the battery. I did this, and everything is fine. Even better than before! I now get 1,5 day with 90 apps installed, listening to music for 2 hours, played some games, browsed the internet for an hour, checked my mail etc. So heavy usage gives me 1,5 day instead of 1 fully day(also good) before the factory reset!
Thanks for the help and I hope someone can use this information!
I have a terrible battery drain when my phone is idle. Tried everything, but nothing solved it. Ever since Lollipop I have this issue.
Clean flashed MM and still nop. Flashed ElementalX 6.04 yesterday which still couldn't solve it. This is frustrating :crying::crying:
I have disabled everything too. No Wifi, data, bluetooth, location...etc (My phone is not a smart phone anymore)
Only adaptive brightness is enabled.
Yesterday I fully charged and went to sleep to find out it has drained 28% after a 7 hours sleep. Removed all the unpopular apps (suspicious apps) as well. BetterBatteryStatus says my phone has been in DEEP SLEEP throughout the whole time too.
Please give me a solution

How old is your phone?? You might need to replace the battery. Especially you've already done everything from kernel, to clean flash to disabling apps and settings
your bstats also tells no abnormality? how about its partial wakelocks? can you post those so we can check it out?

According to BBS my phone has been in deep sleep throughout the whole time. I'm assuming its the battery, I need to replace it may be.
I charged my phone again. I will post partial wakelocks too in few hours time.
Thanks alot
Even though it may not make a huge difference but you can try draining the battery out to 0 (until the phone can't stay on even after a force power on) and a full charge (30 mins to an hour overcharging after you see full battery indicator).. Gluck.
I replaced my battery, I was getting hard reboots as well. But wow with a new battery and marshmallow my nexus is like a new device.
99% no or unknown signal.
That could be the cause of your drain, when the phone has no signal or poor signal it will use a lot of battery to keep the connection alive. Set aeroplane mode on

I asked myself, if debloating the P7P is worth to increase Smoothness and Battery Consumption and get rid off the Bloatware.
Any Advices?
I haven't disabled or uninstalled any of the apps that came with the phone and the phone is really smooth and I am getting really good battery. My overnight idle drain last night (9 hrs) was .45%/hr and it sits now at .53%/hr.

I wish my standby was that low. I'm at 1.1%/hr right now. Not in a super strong signal area though.
It's a Google phone. Not much to debloat, is there?

Nope. That's one reason people get Pixels
I uninstalled a couple of apps I will not use, and was only able to disable one or two more. But if you really need to you can use ADB, or a GUI app utilizing ADB to do the same. Remember that in most circumstances when you "delete" an app it is really not deleted but just made unavailable to user number 0 (zero) which is the main user = you!

Debloating a pixel for smoothness and better battery life? Ugh... This isn't the early 2000's dude. Placebo is awesome though.
