[GUIDE]All Huawei new&old phones-Install Stock Rom-Full Reset

Here is how you do a Complete reset on all huawei android phones!
This resets everything and bring your phone to state when you first purchased it!
PLEASE BACKUP EVERY SENSITIVE DATA AS YOU WILL LOOSE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE ON PHONE!
Procedure:
1)Download a stock ROM from
Try using rom based on/closer to your region/country/operator. Better see for a pdf file inside the archive for your device compatiblity.

2) Format your SD card in FAT32(NO NEED TO FORMATE IF ITS ALREADY FAT32)
3)create a folder "dload" off course without the quotes on to the root of your SD card.
3) Extract the UPDATE.APP from the stock ROM and place it in "dload"
4) Power off your phone with sd card inside.
5)Power on by pressing POWER+RED BUTTON+VOLUME UP Button if done properly you will see progress bar saying UPDATING!
after its done it will reboot automatically and YOUR phone good as NEW!!!!!

Just wanted to test whether the latest stock rom had multitouch enabled by default. And also whether it returns the recovery to default in case my phone ever needs to be repaired under warranty.

It suppourts mult-touch tested my self! And it does restore original recovery

Yeah i'd also tried it myself. I like the boot animation though. At least that's one thing I can take from it.

Try following the the steps again from the start...i.e full reset.

Hey. Just wanted to mention one thing. You don't need to format your SD Card to get it to work. All you need is to put the DLOAD folder with the UPDATE.APP in it. You can have other data on the sd card as well and it still works. People end up formatting their sd cards when most of them are already fat32, at least the main partition, so maybe you should edit that step?

You are right to some point....but i think it works only if fat32. Some people might have fat or ntfs(windows based) however ill amend the steps thanks man!

Yeah I see your point, maybe you could amend it to 'make sure your sd card is formatted to fat32' or something like that?

What will be results if we use to reset with other carrier ?
i.e
If we have a carrier "ZONG" in pakistan and use "ufone" rom is there any harm to fone.
i didn't find "zong" carrier rom in the provided link.

This mod will allow u to interchange ur eMMC (by default internalstorage-2GB onboard) and EXTSD (external memory card),so that u can install large data games and many more.
Direct to installation point

2) Mount all available options in "Mounts and Storage" menu in CWM

To Revert the changes:
1) Download "RESTORE_SCRIPT_FOR_SDCARD_AND_EXTSD.zip" and reboot into recovery

I tried running it on HTC Chacha,as i am running CM9 on Micromax Funbook and HTC Chacha both,i tried installing it on Funbook,it was installed on the first time only..as for HTC Chacaha,i am getting error:installation aborted,please help me on that.

I transferrred the script file in my external sd card.. followed ur instructions exaclty but still the memory is 1.83 gb.. i have a 8 gb card installed.
Another problem is that i cannot access my fb through usb now.. the option "turn on usb" does not pop up when i connect the usb..
Please help.. have i done something wrong?

I do have the same problem. I am using Kangbook for my FB and it is working awesome but the only problem i have got at the moment is my internal SD card is not getting detected, although its showing the capacity and free space, neither i am able to download any file from the internet nor i am getting an option for the FB to get detected for the USB Storage mode when i connect it to the PC on Windows or on Linux.

thank's working fine on my tab. i just copy the vold.fstab on my etc folder then restart and its working. no problem at all.

I can't get my SD card working, whenever i select choose zip from sd card,it shows can't mount sd card,also..earlier my sd card showed 29.84 GB something but now it is showing only 25 GB,where do rest 4GB go?

UPDATE : just a quicknote, i just found out that this img file makes the /system partition of 503Mb instead of 251Mb as other img for MOMO9 or older tablets, So in order to have a bigger partition, one can flash this, then install anyother rom, for instance, cyanogenmod 9/10 full version instead of lite. Presenting a leaked version of ORIGINAL MICROMAX FUNBOOK livesuit image for P300 Model (from MM SC ). If you want to revert back to original rom, worry not, no need to copy that backup file & restore using CWM recovery. Some of us were even having trouble to revert back to original with cwm backups ( failed to restore /system error!). so here is it the answer to getting back to the factory state of our tablet.
Procedure:-
JUST DOWNLOAD THE 7z FILE, EXTRACT AND FLASH THE MMX_Funbook_P300.img IN THE SAME FASHION AS OTHER LIVE SUIT IMAGES. FOR TUTORIAL ON LIVESUIT & DOWNLOADING LIVESUIT REFER :-MOMO9 LIVESUIThttp://tabletrepublic.com/forum/ivi...-ployer-momo9-firmware-rom-releases-1610.html
Congratulations on getting 100% original software installed on your rom. Go & claim your warranty if you want ( tho MM suck at it to the core )

Once you have flashed this image, you will find yourself with following specifications :-

Build Number 97F1-D1-H2-MMX.20120914
If at this point you want to get another rom installed or you have to get root, install superuser & get clockworkmod recovery the old methods does not hold any good. You have to follow this procedure to get root & install cmw recovery. THIS METHOD IS SAME AS FOR ALL ROMS WITH BASEBAND 1.2

Getting the power of ROOT
Now the easiest way to get root is to use UnlockRoot software which works as a charm with our funbook device. Just connect usb cable, enable debugging & press unlock on the software. Then after the tab is restarted (by the software) you get root & superuser installed.
Getting CMW recovery on the tab
Once rooted we need to install ES File Explorer on our tab. Once installed, Go to settings, in root options tick the all boxes
Make sure superuser prompts, hence verifying successful installation of superuser. If not GET SUPERUSER UP & RUNNING FIRST.
Then navigate to the root folder by pressing back key. Stop where it says press back again to exit. ( in address bar the address will be / )
Next there will be a folder named Dev(/). long press on this folder & scroll down to set properties. Then click change, check all the boxes are ticked
Repeat the above steps with data folder (/), block folder (/dev/block), nandg file (/dev/block/nandg)
Finally all the complex part is behind us, to ultimately install the CMW recovery now, just use your old cmw recovery script for ICS, run it & done, it will be installed. Reboot & check pressing the volume down key + menu key & power key.

oh really sorry for such late reply ... but have you tried installing another copy (fresh copy) of livesuit from the internet ? have you properly connected the tablet by pressing the vol - & options button simultaneously & hitting the power key 10 times ???
i have tried almost all those firmwares out there for funbook or momo9 ... i have faced this issue many times but you might not be pressing the button configuration accurately ... rest assured your tab is fine & 6k is not a waste as u might think !!! GOOD LUCK & report back if you still face problems, i'll help you step by step if needed !

How to install:
Make a Backup over recovery!
And make a backup of your data before you try.
Download the zip file wich is for your Android version, htc_one_sv_fstab_JB.zip for JB or htc_one_sv_fstab_ICS.zip for ICS from attachment and flash it in recovery.
If you wanna go back, flash the htc_one_sv_fstab_orig_JB.zip for JB or the htc_one_sv_fstab_orig_JB.zip for ICS in recovery.

We do not need to be S-OFF , do we??

I looked into the zip and it probably wont do that.

thats whats in there.
so probably the way to go, i think, is to copy all the stuff from /storage/sdcard0 to /storage/sdcard0/ext_sd before flashing.

He pm'ed me also, but as almost all people are on jb meanwhile, i don't think that there will be someone searching for a solution on ics.
And also as you know this mod is from another forum where it was downloaded. many times. I think, if it were faulty they had removed it.

You can try. Stock files are the same.
Backup everything.
But i would change them manually, cause i don't know, if it flashes on the right partition for boost.

Should also be flashable for you.

If you don't wanna flash:
First backup your data. Then you can copy the modded vold.fstab to a folder above and set the correct permission like the stock file has. Now copy it, go into the etc folder, rename the old file to vold.fstab.bak and copy immediately the modded one into the etc folder.
Then reboot and see whats happened.

Is it possible to repartition internal and external memory? I mean join external memory with internal and make sdcard as external memory?

[Solved] Baseband and IMEI unknown / Baseband unchangeable

For reasons unknown after flashing a Rom your Baseband and IMEI might show 'Unknown',
flashing stock firmware will bring you back your Baseband and RIL will work perfectly
but the Baseband is now unchangeable (not to everyone but this is what happened to me).
The Baseband is associated with the modemfs folder which is on the root of your phone.
To fix this you'll need a file manager app like Root Explorer, ES File Explorer etc.
Here's the steps:

1.Go to the root of your phone Mount R/W and open modemfs.
2.Select everything and delete.
3.Extract the modemfs.zip that you downloaded from below.
4.Select everything in the extracted folder and copy it.
5.Go to the modemfs on the root of your phone and paste everything you copied.
6.Change every folder's permissions like shown on the picture above.
7.Change the permissions of GUARDFIL and trace_auto.conf like shown on the picture above.
8.Restart your phone.
Now you're done, your Baseband should be changeable and you should be able to flash any rom you want!

The modemfs.zip I uploaded should only work with GT-I9070 not GT-I9070P.

I was experimenting with various android OS. Unfortunately I formatted my modemfs partition. I thought my cell phone was dead. Even, went to service center, they asked to replace the motherboard.
After 10 days of search and experiment I ended up reading your article. It worked like charm and my cell is back to life. Wish I could by a drink for you. Once again thanks a lot.

When I'm trying to delete the files located in modemfs my phone reboots. After reboot the files are still here.

I use Root Explorer.
I tried to delete files one by one and I noticed that when I try to delete PERM file the phone reboots. What can I do?

For reasons unknown after flashing a Rom your Baseband and IMEI might show 'Unknown',
flashing stock firmware will bring you back your Baseband and RIL will work perfectly
but the Baseband is now unchangeable (not to everyone but this is what happened to me).
The Baseband is associated with the modemfs folder which is on the root of your phone.
To fix this you'll need a file manager app like Root Explorer, ES File Explorer etc.

Is there any chance that we can unlock the carriers simlock?
I have a MOVISTAR/ARGENTINA i9070 locked phone, MOVISTAR gave me the unlock code, but it did not work, so they told me that the phone should go to service, the problem is that I am in brazil now, trying to unlock it...
is there any way to do it?
