Hello,
I have Hisense Sero 7 pro tablet for almost 2 years, and it has served me well until I recently gave it to my 2y daughter, and now it has started freezing I have tried reinstalling different ROMs versions (DOPA 4.4.4, 5.0, etc.) but it seems that stock ROM 4.3 is most stable one. I have also noticed that using the stock rom my Sero Pro freezes when I go to Wifi settings screen, or enter wifi password (for non-stock ROM I have not noticed any particular pattern/reason for freezing). Then the screen goes blank (sometimes light is working, sometimes not), and I need to hold power button for a few seconds for a complete shutdown and then I can turn it on.
Now I have watched a few movies from SD card using standard video player and it was working fine, so I believe this issue is isolated to wifi related activities only. Maybe someone had a similar problem (as I believe this is not limited to those particular tablets). Is there a way to fix it? Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!

There is a serious problem! whenever I flash a new ROM in my LG Optimus G F180L (In About it is displaying itself as LS970) there is no sound and no WIFI. To be more precise, The music player does no play sound, neither does any other app. I mean like there no voice coming out of my phone. Next, WIFI problem, well I go to settings, tap on the wifi ON/OFF slider but the damn WIFI just does not connect neither does it shows the nearby connection. There no hardware problem, I am sure of it because when I bought the phone the hardware were functioning just fine. I have already download like 10 ROMs and I am sick and tired of doing it again and again. Please somebody has to help me.

Hi i'm running CM11 nightly 20150105 huashan (Xperia SP) with Williams kernel v5
Everytime i turn on my wifi, the phone slows down to a crawl, apps stop responding and sometimes the screen goes blank.
After some time, around 3-5 minutes, i get functionality back
I'm thinking that perhaps the auto-syncing of apps is what causes this freezing? how can i disable this? as in prevent Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc from auto-syncing.
Or perhaps there is a fix to the wifi problem? I've tried searching the forums but i can't find anything similar to my problem
EDIT: No physical damage to the phone
Hi,
You will need to ask for help in the thread you downloaded the rom from.
Good luck!
Hi there-
My Galaxy S2 just last night started with some new weird behaviour. I had tried to use it for navigation earlier in the evening and left WiFi and GPS on accidentally... an hour or so later the phone was running hot and started rebooting (has never been super-stable, so I wasn't too concerned) - charging overnight and now the phone insists on rebooting after about 1-2 minutes.
Have rebooted into SAFE MODE, and things are relatively ok, until I open the SETTINGS> APPLICATION MANAGER... which triggers a crash/reboot almost immediately.
I've not installed any new apps for some time (nor bothered with any regular virus scanning) - and am not sure what's up with my phone.
I'd really like to avoid having to re-flash/factory reset... as getting one's phone back to "normal" can take months!
Any helpful input would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!! =)

Maybe found the culprit? How to remove it? :/
Just in case anyone actually cares, I may have found some useful info...
Facebook Messenger has been very resource hungry and unstable... In my culling of apps I'm noticing it is the most resistant to being uninstalled. No matter how I find the app (in Rom Toolbox, App manager etc) - it won't let me kill it fully.
Attempting an uninstall of Messenger triggers an immediate crash/reboot.
How can I completely obliterate it?

I managed to "freeze" messenger with a lot of luck... though I can't remove it. Phone is kind-of ok... unless I open the Application Manager.
Seems Messenger doesn't want me even looking at it! (Instant reboot)
Any ideas how to remove this awful program?

So I've had this refurb 1st gen Moto G CDMA from TextNow for around 6 months now.
This morning I went to check my texts and notices that the screen was sitting at the blue motorola pearl.
It would occasionally restart and halt at a black screen after the blue pearl, or restart and the boot animation would be severely corrupted. Sometimes it would make it to Android but it would be incredibly unstable with random services and apps crashing for no apparent reason. I have never tried to root it, flash a custom ROM to it, or anything of the sort.
However, did come with an unlocked bootloader.
The only app I've ever installed to it was Facebook Messenger.
Figuring that the phone was bricked and after reading plenty of tutorials from this forum I decided to flash Cyanogenmod 11 to it (12.1 would not work because the bootloader was an incompatible version) using TWRP.
It worked, well mostly anyway. Upon start up I noticed that it would not connect to my carrier. WiFi works fine, it just won't connect to 3G for anything.
I've read that updating Profile and PRL will fix this but I can't find the option or it doesn't exist.
I feel like I may have missed something or messed up a file somewhere on my phone.
On top of that, com.android.systemui keeps crashing if I let the screen go to sleep.
Does anyone have any idea on how to restore 3G service to a TextNow device and stop systemui from crashing?

For nearly a year we have not be able to upgrade our 1000+ Android devices operating with 4.1 Jellybean because the Bluetooth will not work properly. We recently discovered that this problem apparently began with Android version 4.2, coinciding with the change in the Bluetooth stack from BlueZ to Bluezoid. Here is the story: We use an Anoto digital pen with bluetooth and an app installed on an Android device (Kyocera Torque cell phone). After pairing the pen with the phone, individual transactions, written by the pen on paper are sent to the phone after a "send" box is checked. The phone then responds by activating its camera, pictures are taken then pen data and photos are sent to our server. This is the process which has been working flawlessly. The problem: After 4.1, the pen must be paired then the phone restarted. The "send" box must be checked twice before phone responds. After 8 sends, the process reverts to the correct process and remains until 20 total "sends" upon which the bluetooth function stops. The phone must be restarted. The pattern repeats. We have tested this on a variety of devices using Android 4.2 all the way to Marshmallow, all with the same results.
Please advise as to where we might to go or with whom we may consult to resolve this problem. Our engineer is very capable and is hoping we can find someone who can help us find a work-around or hack without having to re-install the BlueZ stack, which if it is possible is likely a very big project.
