Fastboot MIUI 6.6.x.x tgz mirror? - Xiaomi Mi 4i

Hi, I am trying download one of the older roms in an attempt to get one of the custom roms here to work. They recommend that I go back to a dev rom or a 6.6.x. (downloading from miui is terrible - if you know mirrors please do send them though)
I am running the beta 5.9.25 - and installing custom roms from here seems to be ending in a situation where I see rom loading but hangs on then keeps on doing that... An odd bootloop.

This is a Development thread, don't post questions here.

The only ROM I bot Wirkung starting Form a MIUI Version like you was AOSPA-L but not the most recent Version from September but the oder one from August.
Don't know why this working but not Newer ones.
Other threads mention Ehen you are akready in CM12.1 then you can upgrade directly but this is still not Wirkung for me.
So chose the AOSPA-L Version I wrote above vor try to geht the correct MIUI Version in the net.
Good luvk!

noob Android mod ?

I am rooted and s~off but can't find a decent ROM . The cm 7 that says stable the link won't work. It won't let me post in those forums.cause I am new.
I think we need some more info which mobile and ROM do you now use...
hey!
See here, CyanogenMods for many devices:
www (dot) cyanogenmod(dot) com (dash) devices
rom
I am using an unofficial cm rom says build muiu 3 , date march 17 , 2012 . The camera doesn't work. I know the official cm rom isn't out for this phone. I have read there is an unofficial rom by simon or alquez that runs on this phone with no bugs. Ijust can't find a working link to it. If there is another non sense rom I would be willing to try that as well. I have spent hours looking and can't seem to find anything.

[Completed] [Q]Is ccm12 lillipop based rom for htc one m7

Is cm12 lollipop based rom available for htc one m7 without any bugs and what else i will need to download before starting like rom, gapps, kernel.....
Hi,
Yes there are cm 12 roms for the m7. As far as bugs go, You'd need to read the opening post of the rom thread for known issues and usually reading the last several pages of any rom thread will let you know what issues people are discussing.
I can't point you to any section or roms unless I know which M7 you own... What carrier version.
Yes, you'll likely need 5.0 compatible gapps. Again, that's usually mentioned in the rom threads flashing instructions.
?

Why does the ROM version I'm flashing over matter?

Hi,
I'm referring to, for instance, this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4i/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3212636 where it is advised to upgrade to a certain stock ROM before I flash the new ROM.
My impression was that the new ROM overwrites everything, so why would it matter what my old ROM version was?
Can someone please point me in the right direction before I mess around?
Thanks and kind regards,
Esuhi

Well, in newer versions of MIUI has newer kernel sources and device codes that isn't yet available to us... The only one available are the 5.6.11 versions of MIUI code, flashing a rom over newer MIUI versions is highly not recommended as it could lead to bootloops...
that makes complete sense, thanks!
Official web site doesn't seem to offer 5.6.11 anymore, however.

Should I resort to images found on the forums?
Or should I go with a ROM that doesn't mention this issue?
omerjerk for instance doesn't discuss this for CM12.1 stable ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63031048&postcount=3
(OP had wrong link; here's an example of a ROM w/ this issue http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4i/development/rom-resurrection-remix5-5-5-t3196222 )
You can find a mirror for miui 5.6.11 fastboot rom here:

Stucked on 9.6.4.0

Hello guys ! I just bought this mix 2s a couple of days ago. Also this is my first experience with MIUI so please if I ask something stupid or retarded just forgive me .
When I took the phone out of the box it updated right away to 9.6.4.0 , but as we all know MIUI 10 is already out there for a while . Still my phone doesn't find any update to MIUI 10.
I saw that I can download the firmware from MIUI website and flash it through the update section three dots etc . But since this is my first experience with MIUI I don't know what to think about this flashing method and if I should wait longer for ota or I'm stuck somehow on this version or if I should update like I mentioned before.
Some advice please ? Cheers !
Updating by downloading firmware and using the updater app is safe but decide whether you want to stay on the stable ROM (which normally gets updated monthly) or the developer (which normally gets updated weekly). The MIUI Developer ROM is more stable and bug free than any "stable" version of Oxygen I ran when I had an OP5 so don't let the developer tag scare you.
I would also strongly recommend doing a complete factory reset after upgrading from MIUI 9 to MIUI 10 or Android Oreo to Pie so you get the best user experience. You might end up with some buggy behavior otherwise and since you just got the phone and aren't familiar with MIUI you might not realize that something isn't working like it should.

Well I would like to thank you from the heart for the complex answer ! I was just wondering why my phone can't find the MIUI 10 update if it's already been out for a while. I'm thinking to wait for the Android Pie stable release before I flash a new rom. MIUI 10 has great new features but I'll just wait for MIUI 10 pie. I have to get used to MIUI anyway so I think that I will enjoy 9 while I still have it. Thank you for you time and quick answer! Cheers mate !

manually update:
download ROM from http://en.miui.com/download-343.html
copy to downloaded_rom folder on phone
select ‘About phone’, click ‘System update’, then press ‘three dots’ icon at the top-right corner, and select ‘choose update package’

You must have unlocked bootloader.
Thank you very much guys!

rooting and best updated roms available now ?

hi
i bought mi mix 3 last year and i think its time to play around with phone
can someone outline the step i should from unlocking the boot loader to installing a new ROM (i have limited knowledge of this but i did root my previous phones) ??
whats the latest magisk version for mi mix 3 and updated links or post i can follow ?
anyone have tried a good ROM with good battery life and performance with good stability ?
my current build i am on is stock 11.0.4.0(PEEMIXM) stable
Unfortunately if you want custom android 10 non miui roms like lineage or etc. They have bugs and currently developers stop developing for them, but if you are ok with xiaomi(miui) roms and you just need to access latest features or more light weight roms you can try xiaomi.eu roms. But first you need to unlock your bootloader which will take about 7days(168 hours) then you can try above said roms.
