There're any hope for Atrix 2? i mean because we don't recive 5.0 for imcompatibility with our BBM and why not to try?
The real issue is the device just has the wrong partition structure and outdated bootloader, plus it's storage too small. KitKat is bad enough on it. It would also run slower than KitKat, and use too much memory. I have Marshmallow on my LG G2 (2gb memory), it's great and has better battery life - but the Atrix 2 just couldn't cope IMO.
I'd just buy a new phone on Ebay, unlock $2 (if locked), flash Marshmallow. An LG G2 for instance is around $108 USD, far cheaper, faster, fully capable unlike this device. Which is now practically inadequate for daily tasks.

I'm not quite understanding what you mean?
i think the atrix 2 can run marshmallow
look the htc hd2 can run lollipop and soon marshmallow.the htc hd2 is 3 years older and has less ram and memory than the atrix 2 and it can run lollipop. cmon there has to be a way to port marshmallow to the atrix2 .new boot loader new recovery .there is still hope for the atrix 2 .im stuck on kitkat cm11 .and kitkat isnt slow it runs smoothly
What about safestrap 3.75. With this recovery Razr can run Android M. So if we mod Safestrap partition table to atrix 2 in theory it can run 6.0

EXCUSE MY BAD ENGLISH
Hi everyone,
So I was wondering if I would downgrade my lg g flex 2 (2gb ram 16gbrom) version back to android 5.0.
I'm using 5.1 since the release of the update and I love it but since i can't unlock the bootloader and flash root on it its kinda hard to stay on 5.1.
So a few questions if i whould downgrade is there a way to keep the performence of my 5.1 update? like remove lagg make battery life litle better?
There are tips and tricks in here for improving performance on 5.0, if you downgrade and root. I followed the tips and my phone seems to be running smooth, most of the time. My Antutu score is about 2000 points lower than before I downgraded, except my performance stays around the same score instead of decreasing.
Hello guys i am thinking to buy Droid Mini. I own a Droid Razr HD with locked bootloader. I love flashing custom roms but unfortunately i cant do it on Razr HD. Also because of low ram, i m deciding to switch.
I need to know some things before i confirm my purchase:
1. What system and android version can be rooted?
2. What system and android version can be unlocked (BOOTLOADER). (Is sunshine app used to unlock bootloader? any other way to do?)
3. When official lollipop update is out on Mini/Maxx/Ultra. (any idea?)
Thanks!
I am going to get one of these phones for my partner but she prefers the Jellybean Rom is this possible to put on this as she was coming from the Galaxy S3?
Any links if possible or info
Thanks

I haven't seen one. Lowest android is 5.1

That is almost in possible.. But im not an expert.
Even Moto G (2013) cannot boot Jelly Bean if the Bootloader has been updated. This is due to changes to the Kernel, and how it, and Bootloader interrelate. In theory, a custom Kernel by a skilled Dev might make it possible.
Howdy folks,
I was going to buy a new ATT LG G3 (D850) to replace an aging Galaxy S3. At $250 it seems a good deal.
Then I read the bad news about how lollipop 5.0 push screwed things up? Should I stay away from this due to Lollipop 5.0 issues?
[I generally don't put custom roms due to lack of time, but if there is one that's bug free/stable I can consider that]
Thanks
I would recommend go for newer phone than older model. Try LG G4 or Samsung phone as your new phone.
As far as lollipop issues in LG G3, I didn't find any issue in my phone, I was very much happy.
Hope this helps.
I just got a new g3 from someone off CL. Definitely worth it. Took me 5 mins to root and put resurrection mm on here. Phone flies and no major bugs that hinder me from loving this phone
While I would recommend a new model (for LG the G4 or V10), the G3 is not a bad model for $250, especially if new. In regards to Lollipop, there are some minor bugs, but no more than I have seen on any other model in my opinion. I have not really noticed any bugs
It depends on what you want to do with your phone. What I mean by that is so you want custom roms? Or at least want to root and install a custom recovery?
Idk about ATT but I'm on Verizon and a lot of there phones have locked bootloader or no way to loki hack and install a custom recovery so that's one reason I still have my g3 after a little over a year and have not bought a g4 [emoji14]
So I say if that's what you want do some research and see what ATT phones can do that.
Also would be using a contract update or just buying it straight out, if it's a contract try to get something newer if you using a contract not the g3 is a great choice I'm running cm 13 and love my g3

What method did you use for rooting still looking. Would like a custom rom on my phone.

Well I have had my verizon G3 since August of 2014 so it's been rooted ever since I got it . But from what I have seen on forms. You should be able to downgrade the software from the latest to older ones then root and install twrp. Unless the latest update blocks that

Kitkat has worked fine for me with xposed and gravitybox. The only problem I ever seem to run into is running out of space and having to uninstall apps because of it.
How are the latest releases of cyanogenmod, especially in regards to using the memory card for extending internal memory? Seems like I've read about some problems, but I don't know how common they are. I have a samsung 64 gb EVO card in it.
Is it worth upgrading android, or is the hardware at its limit with kitkat? It seems like "unstable" releases are all that's available?
Also, can someone explain or point me to an explanation about the issues involved if you want to go back to kitkat after upgrading? I have read about problems reverting to kitkat after the bootloader has been upgraded for lollipop or later? What's that all about?
Thanks!
I am not an expert, I can just add a few points. You might find some marshmallow based ROM, which supports adaptable storage, that should solve your lack of internal storage issue. I don't have a device that has marshmallow and memory card, so I can't suggest you the ROM. One compelling thing to upgrade to marshmallow will be Google now on tap. Else many people still think KitKat is better than lollipop./marshmallow. As for the issue of bootloader, you can try checking the ROMs, because many have reverted to KitKat ROM after trying lollipop and marshmallow,s so you'll get an idea
