Has anyone used these before? Product description says that it doesn't affect signal, but from memory apparently it does for other phones.
Just wanted to check other people's experiences on this type of case. Looking at these two at the moment.
Also would this fit nicely with a tempered glass screen protector?
Aluminium bumper with tempered glass back
Aluminium bumper with acrylic back
(note I had to remove links as I cannot post it yet, but you can find them on aliexpress quite easily.

i received this replacement back case (all on aliexpress seem the same model) for a while but i'm not satisfied with it. The back with the "glass" feels quite nice but the "aluminium-frame" on the side is just 4 too thin aluminium-stripes glued on the plastic case. the stripes also easily bend when you are trying to remove the case.
i will stick with the original back case until there is some single aluminium frame/case to buy!
If you search "Aluminium Metal Bumper Frame phone Case for xiaomi redmi note2 Ultra Slim hard Hippocampus Buckle cover" it might be what you're looking for. Im not sure if its full metal alloy though.
Or luphie brand seems good, but more expensive. looking for reviews now.
any bumper and case cheap?

This is the "Aluminium Metal Bumper Frame phone Case for xiaomi redmi note2 Ultra Slim hard Hippocampus Buckle cover" mounted on my RN2.
The fram is real and solid alluminium, perhaps too smooth.

Perfect
I have one, grey colour. After trying many cases, I think this one does the best job. It protects well and also leaves the phone accents to be easily seen.
Sure, I am not the biggest fan of TPU cases as they tend to loose in time, but this one is actually quite ok.
And one more thing: it definitely does not scratch the metal edges.

it's not a bad case, but beware if there's a dust will scratch the silver side of note 4...
also after 2month usage, the bottom of the case start loosing, but typical problem for tpu case after some times
Got similar TPU case and had to cut out the buttons they are so sensitive on this device it was going out and on up and down all the time
I have the grey one, it is very cheap. I don't like it, it fits well and is slim but I don't like the feel, shiny and rubbery makes it feel very cheap to me...I know it is cheap but I don't want my phone to end up feeling cheap
I would love to see pictures of a phone in this... right now there're just pictures of the backs themselves...
Hi,
I have a question to OP. Is the TPU case thick enough to protect the back camera from touching the ground surface when placing on table or floor etc?
I have purchased a cheap TPU case before but it leave the back camera exposed to the potential of scratching when placing on table. Currently using Spigen Neo Hybrid which works perfect but look a bit bulky.
Thanks.
I just hate the sticky rubbery feel of TPU. Just feels cheap to me. Also these TPU cases tend to sag and loosen over time.
I have this and a diztronic, diztronic is in a whole different league, still essentially a rubber case but so so much better and doesn't feel cheap.
Yup, I finally found a case that fits the Note 4 with OEM Qi back. It is not difficult to put on or remove.
I have tried the Spigen Tough Armor and Slim armor, I even tried to cut part of the Tough Armor, but the Verus Thor has the best fit.
Wireless charging works perfect with all my Qi plates, well they are all Nokia DT900
I am really happy now...
This is what i did with my Spigen Tough Armor to make it fit, but still did not fit nicely. One postitive thing though with this mod, is the sound went a little bassy because there was a hollow space left under the outer plastic from the cutout. And when you cover the main speaker grill, the sound is redirected to the hole where the sensor is.

I tried it myself, and while it does fit tightly, my problem was that the screen lip basically disappears; so if I dropped it, I'd probably be smashing my screen. Ended up pulling the QI receiver out of the wireless back, slapped that on naked, put the stock back on, and my Verus fits perfectly again. A little bit of hard labor, but it was worth it so my Verus would fit right.

Mine still has some LIP left, and they still lift the screen when putting the phone face down on a flat surface. I can also test this by putting the phone on it's back, then putting a ruler on top of the "lips" of the verus case. I can see light passing thru, and it is better than on my Note 4 without the Qi charger, with my Spigen Slim Armor or Neo Hybrid.
======
Edit:
I have done tests in the past, that when you drop a phone, it almost always reaches the ground on one of it's corners first. I never encountered a "flat" on the screen drop. And I think this verus case is a good compromise. Hopefully someone will make a "real" case for our Qi back covers.
I had one of these for my M7 and loved it, so I wanted to get one for my M9. These are made of genuine good-quality leather and the construction is pretty solid. My M7 case is showing very little wear after a year of use.
The only drawback is that, as far as I've been able to tell, these are not available from retailers outside of China, so you have to order and wait. I got mine from ipromarket and it took about three weeks from order to receipt.
There are two styles/colors, red-brown and black.

The liner is made from TPU leather.
There is room for 2-3 IDs or credit cards in the slot without affecting the bulk. The cover is held closed with a small magnet , though not tightly (this is good; you don't want a strong magnet lest it damage your credit cards).
The phone fits snugly in the case, and in my experience with my M7, protection is good. I've dropped it a few times with no damage to either the phone or the case.
It does slightly obstruct access to the power button on the side, however.
Access to the microUSB port and headphone jack is unobstructed.
All in all, for ~$25, this is a great value for a leather folio case.
Update: This is not a smart case, but modding it to be one is not challenging. I didn't take any pictures of the process, but it's pretty straightforward. You just need a slim battery to slide inside the cover. I used two 5/16" x 1/32" N52 disc magnets from K&J Magnetics.
What I did was use a razor blade to slice the cover open at the backseam along the "hinge" and peel it back far enough to insert the magnet. The interior of the cover has a flexible plastic frame that you need to carve out a recess for the magnet into. I took my time with this to avoid cutting into the leather. Then I glued the cover back together.
You can see here where the magnet should go (the little circle just below and to the right of the logo on the inside of the cover ). The only reason you can see anything is that I initially tried gluing the magnet in that spot, then decided I didn't like that approach.
You do need to have Dot View enabled for the smart cover function to work. I initially had it disabled and had an extremely frustrating time trying to figure out where the magnet needed to be.
Thank bro, Nice review
it's leather or pu leather?it's looks a pu leather case.

Hi guys, i need a case for my xiaomi redmi note 2.
i was watching, Nillkin frosted shield and aixuan hard case, what do you think?
Is the tpu case better than hard case?
I think this is the better one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/phon...tector-back-cover-for-Xiaomi/32479724279.html
I use it for a couple month and very satisfied.
if you worry your phone screen broken, you can have a look on this http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Xiao...78_77_80,searchweb201644_5,searchweb201560_10

pls give more information like pics and links thanks
Aliexpress is your friend.. Just search redmi note 2 case.
What's the best case?. Thank you.
Have purchased from these sites
You can find accessories for Redmi note 2 from
geekbuying.com , gearbest.com , everbuying.net , aliexpress.com and others
Out of these i have used geekbuying, gearbest and aliexpress and found the products sent by them to be genuine.
But it would be advisable to use paypal for payments, so that in case you receive a defective product or anything else, then you can raise an issue with paypal and get the refund.
eBay has quite a few options also
I have the Nillkin frosted black. Doesn't really protect the top and the bottom, but works fine for the back and sides. Has a nice feel in hand (it's not rubber, just plastic) and is quite sturdy. It has cutouts for the buttons so they don't extend beyond the edge. This was a big deal for me since I can now use my iPega PG9037 controller without smashing the power button.

I also ordered this one, looks nice.
I got the nilkin also.
Was about 7€ from banggood.
For me nilkin are the best for my xiaomi devices
I have the nillkin case too. After a few bumps, it started to crack. I definitely wouldn't recommend, rather one of silicon.
iFace. I think, the best protection with good look. I have black one.

This second I used and broke at the USB charger after ~10 plug in and out. The earplug hard to put in totally.
Beside that it made my phone BIG to hold in one hand.
Nice one, i will try it #2
Finnaly arrives. Pretty good !
i just buy this case

Here's my noname with soft-touch surface. A bit dirty on photos. Bought for less than $4 USD.

I have had the Note 4 LED flip case for almost 2 years and it is amazing.
I will definitely be getting this one for Note 7 too.
One thing I wonder, could the case part scratch the rear glass on the phone ? I think it is made out of plastic so I am worried about the back getting scratched due to dust/sand that gets in between.
Perhaps leave the original plastic on the back or get a Dbrand skin ?

No thanks I'd rather have the LED flip cover case.
Never liked anything else for Note 4 and don't like anything else for Note 7 either.

It's just a thin body skin, you shouldn't have any problems with any case fitting over it.
Regardless, keeping things clean is key:
The Gorilla Glass 5 is tougher than Gorilla Glass 4,but,a LOT more prone to scratching.
It apparently only rates 3H on the hardness scale before scratching, barely beating out plastic.
A test hit the tech sites earlier today,a YouTube video shows the results.......
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=571pu66vEBc
I agree. A full body skin protects the back and sides of the phone. I use the IQ shield. It will not add thickness or interfere with nfc / wireless charging / cases. Im using both of these with no issue.

There's no case that will protect from scratch on the rear. Neither slap a back screen protector on, or consider Dbrand or Slickwrap. My S7 edge got scratched because of this.
I have the spigen wallet case on my s7e for over 6 months with no issues at the back of my glass!
There's a similar leather wallet case for the Note 7 and cause it's Spigen, quality would be excellent!
Check here
