Touch Sensitivity with screen protector - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Accessories

I just got the iq shield screen protector. It installed really well but now I'm finding as I type it isn't as smooth as without the protector. It just seems like it doesn't pick up everything now. The iq shield is "liquid skin" it's not very thick. Any ideas or has anyone else had this issue?

Pretty much all of the wet protectors have this issue. They feel rubbery and has issues with typing and sensitivity.

So what's really weird is yesterday after I installed the screen protector I had touch Sensitivity issues but now today after the screen protector has settled in I'm having no issues. I got this screen protector. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=151821893879&alt=web

I use Spigen , No issues.

I use amFilm and no issues either...

Ya i really like this one now that it's settled. I had the skinomi first but i didnt like it it felt to much like rubber.

Screen protector recommendations

Hey all. I just bought a used Touch Diamond a few days ago and the stock screen protector it came with was already scratched and damaged. I can't install it without any bubbles, even with soap and water.
Do you guys have any recommendations for just a screen protector? I know there are previous threads about this, but a lot of the screen protectors mentioned back then aren't being sold anymore.
I already used Zagg cuz I had leftover Zagg but the rubbery texture kept me from sliding my thumb along nicely.
I was thinking Best Skins Ever but I believe they have a rubbery texture as well?
I tried both: BSE is a good product, less rubbery than ZAGG.
ZAGG protection to scratches/punctures is superior than BSE.
BSE is more user frienldy to apply.
The common problem I found is the dust which appears on corners after time.
IMHO to have the best solution is to "install" the screen protector only, not the body, and BSE has this version for the screen only, ZAGG hasn't (you have to cover sides as well). If you are good with cutter the best is ZAGG cut to fit the screen only (you need to cut it before applying...)
How rubbery does BSE feel compared to an unprotected screen?
a little bit; less than zagg. as time goes by things improves.
sry for the delay!
i actually bought this just for the screen:
http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-LCD-Mirror-S...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item335777fb8a
works like a charm and looks pretty good. only drawback is direct full sunny day. it does get a bit washed out but still viewable.
ive tested every screen + body protector on the market and all are the same rubber thick as walls, spended like 100bucks on all..... nothing is good as a 2bucks screen protector.
a simple and plain 2usd screen protector is ENOUGH to do the work.
Nothing more beautifull than a diamond without those ugly plastics, and the screen looks awesome with those cheapo protectors.

just make sure it's scratch proof. i picked on a set of 10 from ebay for my Touch Cruise (polaris) and in 2 months i went though all of them. even my finger nails puts a nasty scratch on it.
the "scratchproof" ones are more durable but of course, don't mix your phone with yoru keys in the same pocket, it'll still scratch but with everyday use, it works great.

Vikuiti DQC160 screen protector affecting sensitivity

I'm not sure if i'm the only one who has this issue, but the Vikuiti DQC160 screen protector is affecting touch sensitivity on my One S, particularly on the top of the screen, and occasionally on the bottom. I often find myself unable to pull down the notification bar which is very frustrating. However, i have no problems with the rest of the screen. So after 2 weeks of using it, i decided to peel off the film and never encounter the same problem ever again.
It's such a pity because other than the touch problem, the screen protector is basically awesome. The fit was perfect as it was cut by laser. The film is from 3M and it's crystal clear. Applying it was a breeze too, even a noob like me could put it on without any bubbles. The only problem is that it is relatively thick, which could be the reason why it was affecting the touch sensitivity.
I guess the problem is only with the DQC160, other models should be fine as i've read many good reviews about Vikuiti films, and previously i was a very satisfied user of the Vikuiti ADQC27 on my Nexus S, which i why i bought the screen protector for my One S without hesitation.
Anyone else encounter similar problems before?
Kind of like having sex with a condom on.

amFilm Screen Protector

I know its not tempered glass, but I just slapped one of these on, and I am very happy.
Originally had the UAG screen protector that came with my case, which was crap.
It does not cover the entire screen, but I cant even tell that I have a screen protector on my phone. It is invisible.
I bought the HD Clear.
For $3.99, you cant go wrong until a decent glass screen protector comes out.

I heard good things about this screen protector. Does it have glass feel? I have spartan glass protector on mine and has halo around the edges. Mind posting some pic?
With your finger it feels nice, not rubbery like the UAG that I had on prior. With the S-Pen, it definitely doesn't feel like glass. Using the pen, with every swipe you know its plastic.
I don't use the pen often, so this is not an issue for me.
The only camera I have is the phone that the protector is on, sorry.
I bought the same ones and they're a great deal even if the price was doubled.

[Q] Most aesthetically pleasing/non invasive Z3 screen protector

Hey guys, My Z3 took a nasty fall onto some tile floor from about 4 feet, flat onto the ground. picked it up and sure enough it's shattered and touch doesn't work now.
$175 replacement, more disappointed in myself than anything.
I want to make sure the new screen is more protected, but I hate most screen protectors. I don't like that they're visible, and I don't like if they affect the viewing.
The best screen protector I've ever had the pleasure of using was actually the one preapplied to the Z1/s I used to have. Never even would have known it was there if not for reading about it on the internet. Is there a similar aftermarket protector I can get for my Z3?
Been thinking of Spigen but not sure.
The glass ones are very nice. They don't affect the screen, however they're very thick compared to the more conventional screen protectors.
Nillkin glass protector is perfect! You don't even see it! For real, and also comes with a back protector (really useful).

Sent from my Xperia Z3
Orzly is a bit thinner. its great

I have the nillkin as well, purchased the rear glass protector to go with it. The back definitely is not 'hard' as the front, I have several deep scratches that I can actually feel. The anti-finger print coating also sucks...
I wouldn't recommend getting the Nillkin back glass protector.
Glass protector FTW, it has saved my phone twice now. Defiantly recommend a case too, you won't even know it's there.
I have a nillkin glass protector but it's so thick that neither of my two gel cases fits properly over the area where it slightly wraps around the front of the phone.
I have a rhino shield on mine and I'm pretty happy with it.
went ahead with the niilkin, thanks for the advice guys.

Jinxed it. Dropped my phone today and the screen shattered... but the screen protector is basically fine save from a couple puncture holes =/

tempered glass screenprotector

Hi i received today my screen protector that I ordered on aliexpress
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2pcs...rotector-Full-Body-Explosion/32471481594.html
really nice fit, front and back, edges are nicely rounded.
I noticed that touch is a bit less sensitive
I've got a similar one but haven't noticed any reduction in sensitivity but it was fairly easy to apply and with a 0.33 screen protector like you say the egdes become really nice, almost like Sony designed the phone with that in mind
I went with a .3mm tempered glass protector too. Similar good fit, but I too have noticed a distinct reduction in senstivity. Guess I might have to change back to a more standard protector.
I've got this one and like I've said, no noticeable sensitivity reduction.
Not sure if the picture gives any guidance since most seem to be the same package (but mine was front only) just different paper covers. Also love the fact that it got a typo on compact (compzct) ^^ Chinese high-end :good: The stickers and wipe packages where more or less identical to the ones that was shown on the site for the first post.
I washed my screen with water and soap to remove grease more effectively, then did the normal steps for applying the glass.
I got this, which I had on the Z3C as well and it's perfect.:

I bought a similar Chinese screen protector, but it's way too small. Is there a tempered glass protector that fits perfectly?

The one I got fits almost perfect, maybe 0.5 mm "gap" around the screen but since the egde is above the normal screen the phone feels more or less completely smooth. How small is your screen compared to the phone?
My tempered protector fits well but it feels like it's a little less responsive.

I orderd mine from ebay for 2 euro and its awesome. Dont have any problems with responsiveness but you people that have that problem can try to turn on the handglove mode in dislplay settings so it responds more.
I've never used a tempered glass protector. (Usually use a SGP protector)
Do most of these use an adhesive to bond to the screen? Does it prevent clean removal?
I put this in this morning and it works great: http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/olixar-sony-xperia-z5-compact-tempered-glass-screen-protector-p55394.htm
I'm considering this one by PThink Seems to have alot of good reviews. I'm not sure how well it really works
Just added a Taggshield Tempered Glass 9H Film to my Compact. Fits nice, as mentioned before, almost as if Sony set the glass lower for this to be added. Easy to install, no glue etc.
I wonder how long it will last on, as static holds it on, hoping it will protect the glass from scratchs. Time will tell
I bought this one http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ultr...ctor-Film-for-Sony-Xperia-Z5/32475934373.html
0.2mm thin, easy to apply
Aliexpress... tempered glass. Cheap but long time to deliver
I have used Orzly Tempered Glass Screen Protector on both my Z5C and Z3C
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0158V7WNI
I'm specifically looking for a protector that has no camera/sensor cutouts - bought one that the picture had none, but it has them (and they're horribly misaligned).
If anyone can link one they have that is cut-out-less I'd be very grateful.
Ultimate Shield?
I have one and this not have cut-outs...
Just to give you guys an update. I bought my glass screen protector a few weeks ago. So easy to install. Dropped my phone from a height of about 5ft onto a sharp edge of metal and then onto concrete. I have a silicon case too. Smashed the screen protector and got a nice dent on the side of my phone but otherwise it's perfect. Any other protector would have allowed my screen to break. Well impressed and new one arriving in a day or two.
