[Completed] Silencing Notifications While On a Call, Galaxy Note 5- Sprint (SM-N920P, v5.1.1) - XDA Assist

Greetings all! I am having issues with my new Note 5 playing the audible notifications to various apps while I am on a call. I have scoured the entire device's menus for the past 2 hours & have searched all over the net for any tips, though, I only get unhelpful & often many non-related results. Please help! The apps in specific are my gmail app & the stock SMS app. There are no obvious settings to disable sounds while during a call.

Solution Found
Please forgive my novice. I found the solution; per a colleagues advice, I went directly to the phone> more> call alerts> Notify during calls. I am embarrassed but I hope this helps someone else.

Hi digigem,
I know there have been a few posts about this, with uploads of apps aswell. Try searching for whitelist and or black list.
This should steer you in the right direction
digigem - please don't multiple post. 5 cross posts suggests a more deep seated psychological problem perhaps?
I'm deleting the irrelevant ones.

Blocking incoming call notification

I have to write code to block incoming call notification in Windows Mobile 5.0. I have read on various forums that it can be done by pausing the threads cprog.exe process. But despite pausing all the threads, the notification is still persistant. Please help urgently.
Do you only want to block notifications or the calls themselves? There is a program called Call Firewall that might help you.
Hi
I would like to to the same thing:
if someone calls the number of my devices, I want to suppress the "incoming call notification" and accept the call with an own application.
Acception the own stuff should work very good, but the notification coming from the operating system is annoying.
Any ideas?
thanks in advance for a clue,
regards

I need to do both in different situations. Can you please tell me how I can do that using TAPI? Specifically, how can I monitor a line and get the handle to an incoming call, so that I can check the caller's number and act accordingly?

[Q]Incoming Call Waiting Kills All Audio...UPDATE! "Viber" was the problem

Or is it just me?
While on a call, a incoming call renders all audio on both calls dead. Regardless if you answer, ignore or let go to VM, neither person can no longer hear any audio.
I have tried this in many different scenarios. I am using T-Mobile in the NYC area.
If anyone else is experiencing this, please respond.
UPDATE!!!!!
The "Viber" app I installed was the cause of the problem. Once I uninstalled it immediately fixed the problem.
me too.
Hi, I have the exact same problem. It is quite frustrating.
The only work around I have found so far is to go in to call settings -->additional settings and turn off call waiting. Which is also kind of annoying.
Does anyone have a more elegant solution? (like having the incoming call sound a beep instead of taking over my entire call and rendering the phone useless!)

Samsung Galaxy AceGTS5830 - Voice Notification of Incomer Callers?

Hi all,
Just wanted to say first off the information that comes up above stating the similar threads that have been found based on the title is really helpful, thank you
I would like to ask if anyone has tried to setup incoming voice notifications of people calling you on a Samsung Galaxy Ace GTS 5830. Say for example I have a contact on my phone called "Brett" is it possible to enable a setting on my phone so that when Brett calls me on my phone, my phone will play a ringtone and then say the contact's name?
I have had this setting when I had a previous Nokia phone, obviously though different phones have different settings which I understand.
Any help on the above would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

[HELP NEEDED] Call Personal Prompts

Greetings everyone.
I've been googling for a problem I have and weirdly didn't find any answer, so I sincerely apologize for troubling you today.
I'm looking for any app or method to auto-play a voice message whenever I receive a call from a specific number.
(I work in a call center of sorts where I receive countless calls and have to introduce myself in a long and tedious introductory process, most of the times turns out the caller dialed the wrong extension and it's too much of a hassle for each and every call. Also, vocal chord polyps are a real nightmare)
I tried an app called MacroDroid and for some reason it wouldn't work most of the time, basically works once and stops afterwards. Got to set it up with the number I receive calls from and to play a pre-recorded voice note I made but it wouldn't repeat after the first time it works
Can anybody suggest any method to achieve what I need??
