I have a HTC One X (International model) and have been trying to install Resurrection Remix as a way to get a more modern Android version. I've unlocked the bootloader and installed ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.4.8. I cannot get Resurrection Remix installed. I keep getting "your recovery is using the new storage layout but the ROM you're trying to install is not". I've tried 6 different versions of Resurrection Remix, the latest one being cm-12-20150228-UNOFFICIAL-endeavoru-big.zip (I can't link to it as new user... androidfilehost com/?fid=95916177934535306). It explicitly states it uses the new storage layout, though I still get that error. I'm stuck and do not know how to proceed.
Yeah, that worked. Thanks!

Hi guys.
I'm currently running Android revolution on my HTC One X. I want to upgrade to either a kitkat or lollipop based rom, but i understand i need a new recovery (SELinux). I have tried installing such roms as slimkat 9.0 and crDroid 5.0.2. I'm having trouble flashing CWM`s latest recovery to my phone using the fastboot option and cant seem to find a zip file of it, only the image, so using update.zip isn`t a option at the moment. If any one would take the time to help me on this it would be appriciated.
Also i have been looking into developing my own rom, again based on kitkat or lollipop. I am wondering if i`d have to base the rom on a recovery that again requires SELinux support, or if i could base it on a older recovery?
I apologise if I have posted this in the wrong place.
Again any help is greatly welcomed
Hi there,
The Mobil Data AT My M2 Xperia(Modellnumber D2403) does no more work After Upgrade to custom Rom. I started with lineages oreo 8.1. Version, then the nougat 7.1 from lineage and since these experiments I tried many more rooms, resurrection remix, omniron, cynagons marshmallow but the problem won't be solved. I am really sure doing everything right, updated and unlocked the bootloader, install twrp and then the Roms and Gapps. I hope you could give me a solution for these ****ing **** .
After reading more and more threads here, I come to the conclusion that the Modellnumber could be the problem so that the realises did not work correctly for the D2403
so please where are the experts here?
Hi there,
I just got my hand on a Galaxy S6 canadian model G920W8 and I want to flash a custom ROM. I am trying to find rom built for its "zerofltecan", but I unable to. Most of links found are dead links, or unanswered questions on forum. I only found one image of crDroid which is successfully flashed but I really don't like it.
I tried to flash lineageos for zerofltexx but I got an error saying that it was the wrong build for my device.
Here is am, kinda stuck. Even if I want to revert to stock image, I do not find it for zerofltecan.
What can I do? Thanks
I am using unofficial RR v5.8.5 from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ressurection-remix-unofficial-nougat-t3548327
5.8.5 is based on Nougat, 6.0.0 is based on Oreo but certain things don't work (primarily Bluetooth call audio, the cincher for me)
Lineage OS questions before installing
I am looking to install the latest stable Lineage OS, which I believe is 14.1, on my rooted LG G3 D850 running Kitkat.
1) Can I still use and install apps from the play store ?
2) There are a few pre-installed apps from the LG OS that I like, mainly Visual Voicemail and Weather.
Can I somehow use these ?
3) When will Lineage support Android 8 or newer?
4) When a Lineage OS update is available, do I need to go through the complete install process and loose all my data ?
Thanks in advance
Tony

Check out the G3 development forum.

Until just recently, I didn't get out of the at&t forums, turns out that there's a lot of stuff going on over there for the d850. I'd known about Fulmics, but it hasn't been updated in about a year.
Hardstyl3r's got a LOT of rom threads. All being actively developed. Firebird also has an actively developed ROMs, crdroid, which I've just started trying out on my wife's old phone. Going to give the Lineage rom a try next.
Head's up though. On the crdroid rom, I'm experiencing an issue with battery drain due to wifi while idle. Hopefully, the problem will be fixed in hardstyl3r's next update which should be coming soon. It's something to do with upstream changes in the Lineage kernel, so I think it affects all Lineage based ROMs.
Good luck.
Lineage 15.1 is stable, by the way. 16 is in testing.
Oh. Your questions:
1. You can use play store.
2. Not sure about using stock apps.
3. 8 is stable. 9 is testing.
4. Pretty sure you can update and keep your data. Dirty flash at worst.
Thanks for the info. Really interesting stuff.
I will pop on over to the G3 development forum you mentioned
Hi. I have Tab 3 lite or SMT113. it was vanilla but i decided to root and just install custom roms as it was just very old. First i bricked it but i used a pc to get official firmware back and then rooted again using kingroot and installed twrp. I installed the latest custom rom for this tab which was Lineageos 14.1 based on Androud 7.1.2. However i didnt like it as it seemed like there was no use of Gpu acceleration and it was very laggy. I m looking for a rom that is android 7+ or android 6 or above. Can anyone please help its kinda my only device. I may be getting a new one but PLEASE someone make a rom for this thing. Android kitkat is starting to lose support for some apps. I m using Fyrestone rom something which is better then stock but still looking for better roms with android 6+. I went on a few forums but they all are dead. Android 8.1.0 is not working and the links have been removed. Even CM11 threads and Android 9 are dead. pLease help users like me who have this device as their only device
