What should I buy? The gear s2 or the gear s2 classic
And don't try to tell me to buy the 3g version because
I don't need it.
Answers are welcome ?
The 3g version. I don't need it either, but I do want the speaker, that the other two versions don't have. Don't even have to activate the SIM, can just use it as BT. And same price as Classic.
i like classic design, pero but prefer gear s2 "sport" bisel
I have a gear 2 and it has a speaker. Other than the pretty face and neat new interface, it runs rings around the s2 or s2 classic.
There are more apps and it takes pictures, video and i can talk to a caller using the watch. I have spoken with Samsung and so far no one can tell if 3g version of the s2 can be used to converse with a caller without a sim and an phone line for the watch. I would buy one if it can but otherwise, the S2 is a downgrade from the Gear 2.

I have a gear 2 NEO and UPGRADED to a gear S2. I still have a Moto360 that my wife wears and the NEO is just sitting idle soon to be for sale.
My wifi, wireless charging and NFC wasn't working on the Gear 2 Neo. Along with looks, bezel and new menu it's nice.
I did loose the IR but I can honestly say I never used it even once. The clip on charging pins were very coroded, the speaker is blown or crackly now, and its pretty scretched up (not glass but plastic bezel). I was due for an upgrade. Only thing I miss is the speaker and may get the 3g (without paying or using the 3g) just for that feature if it don't look to bulky. The moto never had it anyways.

It's a tuff call.
The classic has the option to change bands to anything you want. That's huge vs. Samsung only bands.
But I personally don't like the dimples on the rotating bezel so I wouldn't pay extra for that.
And the best of all is the 3G version which is what I'll probley return my current S2 for when it comes out. Yes I don't want 3g or will I pay a monthly fee for it. But I would buy it just for the speaker and GPS. You do not need to signup or pay for the 3G function and the price is the same as the Classic.

my question is , is the screen from the s2 and s2 classic the same size ?? If so, why the measures are bigger in the s2?? Thank you.

Yes because of the bands and the way the band mounts. In reality it look the same size in person between the two. Don't get to tied up in those numbers.

I went to Macy's and saw the S2 & S2 Classic side-by-side on my wrist and the Classic has a smaller screen, despite having the same screen resolution.

I know that's what the specs say but the glass part of the S2 was bigger than the Classic. The Macy's saleslady, my wife, and I all noticed the size difference.
Have you seen them yet side-by-side?

Perhaps the glass is bigger...doesn't mean there isn't a black bezel around the edge of the display underneath the glass that gives the appearance of a larger display.
Just a guess.
Yes but in the wrist if it's a little bit bigger for me would be nicer and I was considering the classic one ,I only wish the sports version had GPS because it's suppose to , that's the main purpose of a sports version in my opinion

The glass part is exactly the same size on both.
I had both while I was deciding which one to keep and actually measured it. The difference is the sport has two small bezels surrounding the glass: one internal bezel and the bezel you rotate. The internal bezel is surrounding the glass, not beneath it. The classic has one larger bezel (the one you turn). The bezel on the classic same size as the the two on the sport. Bottom line: the diameter of the glass is the same size and overall diameter of the watch (sideways) is the same size. The sport case is larger top to bottom because of the way the straps are attached.

The screens are the exact same size, but the total diameters are not the same.
The Classic is 39.9 mm while the Sport is 42.3 mm.
The Classic is smaller overall.

The screen is the same size on all but it is the casings that vary. The sport is clearly wider than the classic.
From samsung site:

BT classic 39.9 x 43.6 x 11.4 mm

Yes, thanks. That is correct. I was wrong about the case width. The sport case is both wider and taller.

Right, first of all, I had been waiting for a UK supplier of this product for aaaaages!
Finally MobileFun started stocking it.
As everyone knows, tempered glass protectors are for the most part, a problem for the Note 4 due to the curved edges.
I had been using one that just cover the viewing area, which looked hideous IMO.
So when I first saw iVisor and it's total, no halo coverage, I knew I needed to try it out, despite the high price of £30! (yeah, I thought I was crazy too)
In terms of packaging, there's not much to report, it's... A box [emoji23]

In the box you get a cloth and suction cup to help with the installation, but I've installed so many glass protectors I didn't find it necessary to use the cup.
As you can see, this thing covers the "whole" front of the screen.
Installation of the iVisor was, in my opinion, the easiest of all the protectors I've installed.
Having the coloured edge, allows you to line everything up far easier, than a totally transparent one.
After installation and now it's been on a couple of days, I can give informed verdict on this protector.... And that verdict is, it's nothing short of amazing!
Despite the high price, in my opinion it is well worth the money, not only is it one of the thinest glass protectors I've ever come across, the clarity is phenomenal! Not to mention, the feel of thing is just like the naked glass.
I thought the ones I used in the past were good, obviously better than the PTE type, but this is a next level up.
Not forgetting THE reason I got this in the first place, which is a halo free viewing experience, which this delivers impeccably.
Yes, it is expensive, but if you're after a tempered glass protector, this has got to be the best one for the Note 4. Definitely a 10/10 from me, and if you can stomach the cost, the only one to get.
Nice thanks for sharing, is it because it has a dark border that the halo effect cannot be seen?
I'm using it as well and agree it is hands down the best one for this phone.
I disagree. Don't like the holes on the glass. Much prefer the Arcadia glass.

It's all peaches & cream until the thin adhesive sides pop loose and tons of junk end up under the screen. Also a lot of cases will cause this protector to bow up in the middle and the screen will become unresponsive as there is no adhesive under the actual display area. Been there, done that.
Anyhow, nice review and good luck with the Moshi.

I think it depends on the case, I'm using using Spigen Neo hybrid and I think it's a case of it being a mixture of luck and the way it's made, that I've managed to get it that spot on, that the case doesn't touch it, or at the very least is flush.

I think that does play a part, but I don't think it's totally because of that, because I've had others that halo way before the edge of the actual display, let alone the edge of the phone.

They're not holes, as in "holes", they're sections that don't have the coloured border to let the button LEDs shine through.
Trouble is getting hold of others, I tried getting all sorts but found it surprisingly difficult getting anyone to ship to the UK, including the suppliers themselves.

Can i clean the moshi glass?
Looks like it will be the same price as the BodyGuardz Crown (coming the end of April for Note 4). Both look like they offer great protection. Because of the aluminum bezel, the Crown will have zero lift around the edges. Is there any lift at all with the iVisor? I think that would be a deal breaker if it does.

You mean the adhesive side? Probably, but I wouldn't recommend it, why would you want to remove it unless it cracked of course, but then you'd replace it?
I have a similar one arriving today. It's a Cailifu and is sold on Amazon. I will let you guys know how it looks and holds up. Here's the link to check it out:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PXP38BA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have been using the Cailifu glass protector for about a day now. Overall, i think it's a winner. The only negative thing I could find is, it's a smudge and fingerprint magnet. Not sure it it's the material used or some kind of coating, but I have to clean the screen far more frequently than normal. The screen coverage is perfect with no gaps or lifting around the edges. For the price (75% less than the iVisor), it's a go.
BTW, the "windows" for the capacitive buttons are square. The iVisor has round windows. The square windows give it a more stock look than the round ones. Hope this comparison helps.

Having used this for a few weeks now, would you still recommend the Moshi? I've read some comments online about their iPhone protectors having an 'oil slick' effect in the centre of the screen and a 'dot pattern' that permanently marked the screen - have you noticed anything like this? I didn't see any such problems evident in your photo.
Also be very interested to know how S-Pen usage is with this. Does the S-Pen still operate the back button OK?

Post a picture of your arm.
Might not be as average as you think.
Anyway, the watch is big enough. Bigger and you cant wear it in the gym,
which is a sellingpoint for me. My watch from Certina is just a little bit bigger.

It's a question of personal taste. I've got used to large watches but I figured the Gear S2 classic would be perfect since I have small wrists. Once I got it though, my first thought was that it was so small lol. Tbh I would prefer it if it was slightly larger, but it's not really a "small" watch...If anything, it's standard size but may be too small for anyone used to the oversized watches currently in style. My two cents, in the end it comes down to what you want on your wrist I guess

True is the same as a few of my watches but I think the measly 20 mm strap don't help.
I found my Gear 2 was big and could not slide under my shirt cuffs, be nice trying the S2 out tomorrow.

Gear S2 Classic looks great with my newly arrived ceramic strap.
The surface finish of the strap fits well with the Gear S2 Classic's ceramic coated surface, as if it's made for the watch originally! Love it~

Looks cool! Just so you know, the wheel that turns is called a "bezel". The part on the wheel that has numbers and markings is called a "bezel insert", and a "watch face" on a smartwatch is the type of dial you choose in the app store or on your watch. Mixing up the terms can get confusing. So...did you replace the entire bezel on the gear s2 with another one from a real watch (including the bezel insert), or did you keep the original bezel and just added a bezel insert from another watch?

The protector you mentioned has two negative reviews on amazon about it not fitting correctly. Can you please take a picture of your phone with the protector on? If it's good I will absolutely buy one. Thank you!

Hah wow thanks XDA app...sorry I didn't see the above replies about the exact same thing. A picture would be great though!!
Sorry I ended up returning my le pro 3. It was a perfect fit right down to the the capacitive buttons, but it was only adhered to the sides so I did get a halo. Not terrible and not in normal light but under florescents it could be bad.

Soooo, I bought the screen protector above by Toshion that has the color matching left/right borders and the entire cover on top and bottom. It does fit PERFECTLY. As it sits I'm using it in a work space with bright fluorescent lights and am not having any issues with halo's or any odd adhesion issues. The protector does clearly only stick on the sides and top/bottom, not on the screen itself, but it is not an issue so far. I'll try and get some pictures later when I get home but so far so good.
edit: link to the screen protector I'm referring to....

As promised, photos of the screen protector on the phone, both with case and without. Sorry for the poor quality, took the photos on my old Zenfone 2.
My Pro3 from LeMall Black Friday Sale came with a preinstalled glass screen protector. The Le S3 did not so I ordered one also on Black Friday from LeMall for $1.99.
I think the free and pre-installled on the Pro3 was a great deal, more so cause they are difficult to install 100% perfect, price of free was just bonus.

I bought this screen protector also and it looks like it lines up really good. I haven't bothered to take off the factory protector yet but I probably will soon. I was pretty shocked that the phone came with one preapplied - a nice bonus, I haven't gotten one with any other phone yet!

FWIW, I purchased my Pro3 on the 11/2 flash sale, and it didn't have the TGSP installed. I dropped it on a sidewalk a few weeks later, and the screen shattered. I was approved for a warranty replacement, and the new device just arrived with the TGSP pre-installed. Also, in case it's helpful for others to know, I had unlocked my bootloader, installed TWRP, and rooted the device. I flashed back to stock ROM without root before sending it back, but couldn't find a stock recovery to flash, so it seems like they're not concerned with which recovery a returned phone is running for warranty repairs.
I ordered the below from Amazon:

Xuexy 20mm Full Ceramic Watch Band Stainless Steel Buckle for Samsung Gear S2 Classic (SM-R7320/SM-R735) Moto 360 2nd Gen 42mm 2015 Pebble Time Round,Black
Shipping was quick as it always is with Amazon. The black ceramic watch band (20mm) fit my Huawei Watch 2 (not classic) quite well, and made a nice improvement to the sport band it came with. The tools made changing the band and removing a link easy as well. Took about 10 minutes to do everything. I think it makes the watch look great, and I am very happy for the price.
Seems to be the same band they have on Ebay for slightly less, but I did not want to wait 2 months for it.
I do not have any complaints as of yet, and would make the purchase again.
Thought I would post this so people are aware 20mm bands work with the watch, and could see how it looks with this watch.
The watch face is thema's Swift Watch Face - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.thema.wear.watch.swift&hl=en
My main concern with this watch is that the arms/grips/*whatever you want to call that area where band clip goes* is just too big for 3rd party bands to seamlessly integrate with the watch. I bought a leather strap, but the size of the watch itself is soo huge that the strap looked like a teensy thread compared to the watch. if you notice, the factory fitted strap actually has 'side flaps' type design near the clip area increasing the strap width, which at least gives a smooth look to the watch overall in terms of size..

That is what I noticed with the Milanese Loop Band I tried - far too small for the watch and it looked silly. The ceramic one is a lot thicker and nicer, and looks great in my opinion. I just found the original to look a little cheap.

I personally don't prefer the ceramic/metal straps since I sometimes have to adjust the strap on the go, which of course is not possible with these types of straps
I really want Huawei to release some straps for its watches...
It looks shiney in the photos. I'd prefer something in flat black to match the watch body. If any one finds one similar in flat black please post.
