I have an Acer Iconia A200 on OmniRom Kitkat 4.4 I am rooted, unlocked and have CWM installed. My question is it generally safe/possible to try downgrading to another android version?
And yes I have a good reason, I use this tablet for gaming and blue tooth controllers are hopelessly broke in Kitkat and I've already exhausted possible fixes.

Depends which devices, on some it will bootloop on some it will just say that you can't perform that action and on some you will just need to wipe the device after you flash it.

How to back up ROM of Android Honeycomb 3.2 on Acer A500?
I have done a little research and I am completely new to this.
It seems I need to use nandroid to make a back up of the rom.
To use nandroid it wants the Android Honeycomb 3.2 device to be rooted.
As far as I can see there is no root as yet for the Honeycomb 3.2 OS at the moment?
I wondered whether the new Android Honeycomb 3.2 has its own way of backing up the whole ROM without having to do the rooting? Specifically looking to do this on the ACER 501 which seems practically identical to the ACER 500
so i just got my cm11 recently and it's doing great for my device. you should try and give your feedback for this release! now i would like to ask about rooting this ROM. is it possible to do so? because i found that this ROM is not pre-rooted. i usually use superuserSU to handle rooting, but now it's not working anymore because the android version from cm11 is 4.4.2 and superSU is not compatible with this version. thanks before
Hello friends,
My younger brother received an acer TA71CA1 tablet as an award under 'CM special award 2014' from State board. The tablet comes with android 4.2 jelly bean. But i want to install coustom android 4.4 kitkat on it. And if android 5.1 is available then its very good. So can anybody tell me how can i install coustom android 4.4 or 5.0 on the said tablet.
Thank you for using XDA Assist. Unfortunately your tablet is not very popular and you'll probably have a hard time finding any custom roms for it. But the best place to try is here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking

Running on 4.4.4 Kitkat, stock Rom and rooted already with Kingroot 4.0, so far its working ok but unable to install xposed yet. It runs on 64bit processor and i heard thT performance wise it'd be a huge boost if its on Android Lollipop. Any custom Rom for thiz that runs on Lollipop?

It is by far the cheapest octacore 64bit phone, spec wise, with lots of battery juice around. It was just release 2weeks ago here in the philippines. On stock is kitkat 4.4.4 and already on ART, was just thinking that with specs like these running on Lollipop would fully show its true potential.
Good Morning developer community,
I'm looking for the 4.4.2 kitkat ROM for the Matricom G-Tab Quantum tablet. The tablet is currently running 4.2.2 ROM and would like to upgrade to a newer ROM. I am unsure where to source the ROM as Matricom no longer supports the G-Tab. The tablet does have its own boot loader I can access to install new Roms from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Taylor L.
