Welcoming a Skilled Dev to The SK4G, Giving Krylon a "thanks" to Bring us Development
Guys Krylon360 could Use a hand From Us..
We may be seeing REAL Development Coming to Our Device real soon, Developer Krylon360 (Who ported CWM for Us) wants to help with Development. We all Know he can only do so much without an actual Sidekick 4G at hand. He May be able to get the device in a couple weeks or so, But he'd be able to get his hands on it much faster with some help from us. This is really for those who really want development on this phone and see our phone match up to the rest, and appreciate the helping hand Krylon is giving us. Even a small "thankyou" donation, for his work on our CWM that he offered to help with even though he didnt have the device, could help speed things up a bit. It would also show him how serious we are about development. If you're like me and support what he's doing for us, and give him a little hand with getting our phone, you'd be bringing development to the SK4G much faster. No one "Needs" to donate but it would be nice cause it shows our appreciation for helping us get our phones to a state where it meets our standards. Most likely he has something planned for this phone so im just trying to help him get it sooner, so can you. For those wondering, I had another developer pick me up a SK4G for 200. I'll be able to pay him on the 1st, but will be able to pick it up sooner with your help. Thanks guys.

While we're donating to devs, donate to drhonk, he's given us the Bali Kernel, and later today will give us the lagfix we've all been waiting for. He doesn't have the SK4G, so he can't really do as much as he wants to in developing for this.

yep, I hear voices in my head.
I just want to reach out and globally thank the developers that are working together on ironing out the issues they encounter in new software bases (such as the new Ville RUU) - this should serve as an example for all developers instead of the "glory seeking" that some do by wanting to be the only one who figured out how to fix a problem, and then whining when someone else "steals" their work.
Yes, I know, "use the thanks button," but there is only so much that a click of "thanks" can convey!
You are all appreciated for the work that you do and I for one am extremely thankful!
I am very grateful because of them my device is like no others it just rocks !! Everything works the way it should and updates are frequent really amazing dev support here

I'm also very very greatful for the instruction given so freely! Some sites are not so generous with information and they would rather play "high and mighty" but NOT XDA! They are WONDERFUL!

It isn't every day that a dev comes along who's as kind, considerate, and helpful as iB4STiD. For years, he's given to the community and put up with verbal abuse from trolls in a gracious manner. I'm running Goldfinger on my S4. Really great rom. I just wish some people wouldn't complain about a rom that someone put a lot of time and effort into. I can think of a couple people who need to just quit acting like they know everything when they clearly don't.
Good luck iB4STiD!! Appreciate your contribution to the community. There are plenty of reasons for anyone come and go but what matters finally is how much values one could add. Good job.
I don't have permission to post in the developer section (for good reason) but I enjoy his ROMs very much.

We already talked and said bye iB, but I feel like saying bye once more. We won't have another developer like you around here maybe. You were the best developer of any device I've seen ever. There were a lot of devs I've seen for many different Android devices, but, you by far, are the best one I've seen yet. I hope you figure everything out and stuff. (We've already talked about this privately, but, as I said before in this post, you are the best developer to me.)

Nuts. Out of the loop on what's going on, but it's sad to hear. Since getting my S4, his ROMs were the only ones I would run. I guess it's finally time to pull the trigger on that Nexus 6.

You can't leave! Yours is the one ROM that has always installed quickly and without any headaches.

EDIT: Found out your moving on to bigger and better things. YAY for you! When you feel bored and nostalgic...just knock out another outstanding ROM for us s4/5 users. Good man!
I've used a few different ROMs of his, and I've enjoyed them all. Not only is he a great developer, but he responds kindly feedback and requests and replies thoughtfully to requests for help from users.

When I can, I'll make a donation to you. I'll see how much I got after taxes when I get all my forms. Once again thanks for all your hard work on these roms. Really like the Goldfinger rom I'm using.

I'm always keeping both, GoldFinger and GoldenEye on my SD all the time. They're my go to ROM's if I don't know which ROM to choose. For the millionth time, lol, thank you for all the time you spent pleasing all us GS4 users.

it was my pleasure my friend i mean that .. making these roms.. kept my mind off alot of things going on in my life b4 i moved, it helped me chill out, and getting to know u guys was worth more than anything to me!! :good::good:
iB4STiD - I wanted to add my thanks. Your hard work on the ROMs was the key to making my S4 a great phone. I have really appreciated your efforts and ROM's you have turned out.
I've been on XDA for a long time now and I can undoubtedly say that ib4stid is by far the best dev I've interacted with. Very friendly guy.

Seems like I'm going back to building my own roms. Not a fan of mainstream branches they always have extra features I never use and so much custom code they run into new bugs.

As we all know, picture and video quality on AOSP ROMs for LG's flagships leaves a lot to be desired. Camera2 API support would improve camera performance on G2 and G3 (and maybe it would be beneficial for G Pro 2 aswell)!
I know it doesn't mean a lot to you but it would help us, G2 and G3 owners, a lot! So please support us and sign!

I wish we simply wish we had more developer support for this device id happily donate £100 to a developer if someone would stick with this device and help make it as good as we all know it can be..
but I've came to the conclusion after meny months that its simpley not going to happen not to the scale of the g2 or g3 anyway which I find upsetting,
this is such a underrated phone its unbelievable for the price I personally think this phone is amazing the screen is lovely to use the ui is smooth as butter and over all its simpley a brilliant phone,
But I think if your expecting donations its just not going to happen I would but I want other devs to back this phone up and help but unfortunately development seems dead such a shame for the beast of a phone this is.

Oh oops srry I shouldn't have posted it here. :silly: but I feel you, it's clearly a very good phone by the specs. Sad not many developers aren't interested in it though. If I had the time I'd happily develop for it I'm learning game development though and all my time goes into studies and social life.

Until it's available on all markets, we won't see it any time soon. That's why we have to do it ourselves.
