Is Z5 also ANT+ less like Z5 compact? - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Looks using my Z5c I cannot connect my ANT+ HRM with the phone while it is perfectly visible on Z3 Tablet
Did anyone tried connecting ANT+ device with Z5?

The box for my Z5 had the ANT+ logo on it. Sorry, I don't have any ANT+ equipment to test with.

Both the Z5 and Z5C support ANT+ according to Sony Mobile's product page specifications.

yes indeed but they.... don't
no ant+ service preinstalled , none of my HRM is detected by Z5c (while it is by Z3 tabled)
www.thisisant.com/directory/ also not showing Z5 as ANT+ certified

[Q] dock charger

Is it okay to use xperia z1 dock with myXperia z3? Will there be any problems?
It's ok in my opinion and I have been using z2 dock charger for my z3 with no problem at all

Z2 and Z3 are almost same. But the z1 is thicker and battery is not as well as z3, so wont I have any internal problems if I use z1s dock?
The dock is designed for all the Z devices from what I can tell, as you get spacers for different sized devices, I have mine with no spacers So I don't have to take off the phone protector.

NFC Problem

I just bought SCR24 cover and I tried to pair it with my xperia z3 but my z3 can't detect NFC tag of SCR24 (NFC already turned on in my Z3). I tried to pair this SCR24 with my brother's Z3 and can be paired so it means my Z3 NFC not working Is there anyone have issue with NFC in your Z3 ?
Info

to check if NFC is healthy go to Setting > About > Diagnostic > Test > and then test nfc
or test nfc with another nfc tag
if problem appear again
First try repairing Firmware by PC Companion to make if it s hardware problem or software
if problem remains after Repairing firmware then take it to service center for replacement (maybe) because of faulty sensor
:good:

Does the Xperia XZ support ethernet adapter with stock ROM?

I want to connect my Sony Xperia XZ to RJ45 ethernet, using some micro-usb to ethernet adapter. Android supports it starting from marshmallow, but no idea if Sony introduced the feature on the Xperia XZ. Even iOS supports it, on both iPhone and iPad.
Anyone knows if it's possible or got it working?
Forget this phone, LG V20 and Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ support OTG USB to ethernet adapters. See more here:

Not possible, Sony has disabled this feature, just like the advanced manual settings in the camera and many other core Android features.

This is why I do not recommend Sony anymore.
is this statement still valid for 2018?
I really like the Design of new Sony Smartphones, but want also the Ethernet capabilities, and it seems lost since Lollipop 5.0.2+ (tested on Z3+ Dual)

Maybe latest ones with USB-C do support it, just test. I don't care about Sony anymore.
yeah, i would have the ncessary adapter ready. I am bit wary of buying Sony because of the high Sar-Values and problems with Loudspeaker audio-quality when in hands-free-mode. Why don't you care about Sony anymore,? thanks

here is a list of phones that work with Ethernet adapter of certain brand (Attentions: publicity?)

Miracast and WiFi at the same time

Can anyone confirm if WiFi works on the XZ while using Miracast?
I tried connecting my old Xperia SP to my TV using Miracast and it has to disconnect from the WiFi to work, which is disappointing. This also seems to be a problem with other Sony products, like the Xperia Z.
I'm planning to buy the XZ, so I would like to know if this works.

My sony xperia xz premium won't work in conjunction with an apeman projector, why?

My sony xperia xz premium won't work with an apeman projector, why?
If I root my phone will it work then?
Many thanks.
Because there's no display output from the phone, there's no MHL, Slimport, USB Type C video, etc output from the phone at all.
