Well I think my Infuse is now a goner.
Initially had charging problems, brought it into ATT and they noted corrosion and blamed it on me, warranty voided and I was SOL.
Purchased a replacement charging port and found out that the damn thing is soldered on. Well I attempted it and accidentally lifted the solder pads.
wanna sell it? or you can try to do the touchstone mod. i pulled mine apart to see how hard it would be to do and it doesnt look to difficult. i would've done it to mine but my infuse is only a couple weeks old. just google touchstone mod if you havent heard of it. but you wont be able to send data you can only use it to charge it wirelessly.
Poor you
I bought an extra pair of batteries along with a will charger, I haven't used the charging port in months. Something you might want to consider.

On Ebay battery charger plus 2 1900 mah batteries for $15ish, which 1900mah is supposed to last longer than stock something you may want to look into, also if you do get your charger port working again then you can charge one via the battery dock and charge the one that's in your phone at the same time (it has USB port on bottom of battery dock) a also its smart charging so it doesn't ruin the battery if you leave it on there all the time

They're 1900mAh batteries, lasts me 19 hours on average. I'm sure it's more of a hassle to have your phone plugged into a wall than it is to leave a battery in the wall.

Im not really sure why, but on my old infuse my phobe wouldnt charge anymore so if charge my batterys off my dads infuse. And i was for sure it was a hardware problem. Then wen my dad upgraded phones a month later he give me his old and i was going to return my old infuse back to ebay. But somehow i fixed it b4 we returned it. Iv tryed changing roms and whiped that phone like no other then randomly after i factory reset on a custum rom it fixed it self.. idk how it fixed it self but it happend. So its possible its a software issue
Not a hassle at all. I rotate between 3 batteries, I haven't plugged my phone in in over two months... I don't see that as a hassle. All I do is power down my phone once a day to swap batteries, nothing like going from 5% to 100% in a battery of minutes. I use to stress about battery life, but that hasn't been an issue since. Its probably become what I brag most about to iphone users.

What about us users that have a nice protective case on it? I use a casemate that has 2 layers of protection, and would be a pain in the butt to remove everyday. And if you use an Otterbox case, those things are damn near impossible to get off without a struggle.
Obviously if you lock up your phone like Fort Knox then this method is not for you. I have a case mate case and I have no issue taking it off once a day, far less troubling than keeping it plugged in hours everyday whilst trying to use it.

I'm not worried about it. I have a car charger if I need to charge while out. I'll be damned if I'm going to open my case every day. If it floats your boat, go for it.
Was just wondering what chargers are you guys using? Im gonna be getting my nexus 4 right after christmas. (Stupid backorder)
I'm using the LG one and it works great. The beep really isn't nearly as loud as everyone exaggerated.... but if it bothers you I hear removing it is really easy and there's instructions in one of the threads on how to do it.

Someone in another thread mentioned that it charges to 100%, then it disconnects until the battery hits 90% or so before it starts charging again. They mentioned they leave it on the charger overnight, and in the morning it'll say it's been on battery for 3 hours and at a 90% charge.
Does it do this to you? Or do you find it charged up to 100%?

The other day I did wake up to my phone at 96% and it said it had been off for 5 hours. But today I woke up to it at 100%. I wouldn't doubt that it stops charging at 100% and then recharges back up at 96%, though I don't believe it drops as low as 90%. I've read many things in the past about people saying phones do stop charging at 96% because it's healthier for battery life and that the last 4% are cosmetic. Don't hold me to that though =P

My N4 is on backorder for about 4 weeks. I hope google announces that wireless charging orb by then.
I bought both the LG and the Energizer single-position. Haven't had the problems that other people have mentioned with the LG unit beeping more than once (when I first put the phone down and it starts charging), even when left on overnight and after the battery is full.
The Energizer is bigger all around than the LG and is much more sensitive about getting the phone in the right spot - and since it doesn't beep, you have to just watch for the blue LED (which is bright as heck in the dark; I put a piece of tint over it).
Ended up taking the Energizer to work, and I've got an LG next to the bed and another in my home office. As far as actually charging, both models work fine and I've not done any testing on speed, etc.
Is this what you guys are using?

where did you order that from?
Hi guys,
I'm relatively new to this forum and I was wondering if anyone here have had any experienced with a standard generic Qi charger from China. I'd recently purchased one online and have been using it for over 2 days now without any problems.
My intention was to actually try this product first before I get a charger from reputable brands such as Energizer or even the Nexus Orb. Is there any difference between these charging pad or should I just stick to the one I have now?
Thanks

it would be helpful if you can mention the brand name or post a pic, if you still cant provide url. i'm recently ordering fasttech wireless charger too, still waiting to be delivered.
As long as it is charging the device, and it doesn't feel like it is getting too hot, then I would stay with what you got.
I think the benefit of the orb is that it holds it at an angle so you can see it while sitting, but that is just a small benefit that normally doesn't matter.

Just got a fasttech charger, figured Id give it a shot. Makes me appreciate the orb more and makes me feel better about spending twice as much on the orb. The orb uses micro USB (aka universal), secures the phone and doesnt have the obnoxious blue LED on it. Also, the fasttech seems finicky about charging, you have to get it just right. The orb doesnt seem to care.
Something weird happened to my charging pad last night. Apparently, I wanted to gauge how long will it take for the pad to charge my Nexus 4 to 100% from 10%. So after making sure that my battery was at 10%, I left it on the charger and went to bed.
However earlier this morning, I find that my battery was only at 84% charged (after nearly 5 hours of charging). A quick look at the battery stats shows that it charged normally from 10% to 80% and then dropped down to 70% (on battery and pad did not charged, I reckoned). After that, it was charging again to 84% and stayed flat at that percentage till morning. Weird right?

won't charge at all.even stock charger no icon nothing....
been on charge all night and have tried numerous things no response.
haven't bricked it went flashing anything just have been busy
Lately haven't used it and must have drained flat.have read before
once they get flat they won't charge as need a small amount of power
From battery to activate charging circuits.
What's the best battery to put into it? Stock one on ebay for 24 usd
Just thought I would ask but is there a bigger capacity one that would fit?
Anybody done this before just looking for ideas..
i will take the battery out and try charging it with a 3.8v mobile
Charger or camera charger by using some wires if any success will
Post up if works...thinking got to put small charge into it then can use wall
Charger.
Well ordered a new battery from eBay 28 bucks delivered...
Just decided to open it up and play with it tonight and got it charging now with the old battery.will let it charge for ages before turn on.new battery still in mail.
Got it working by unplugging the battery for a while and reconnecting to wall charger.note before doing this it would not charge no matter what I used..eg 2 amps etc
Not sure why it works but read it somewhere and worked for me too.
Tab seems to work sometimes and charges ok with old battery then later i turn it on and nothing..
wont wake up even with wall charger plugged in.never had problems with deep sleep before,
maybe a couple of roms ages ago but the one im currently using hasnt done it before and been
using it for ages.im guessing its the battery playing up.anyway got my new one in mail today
and then tab wouldnt start again and i know its not that flat.I decided to change the battery and are
charging now will leave it on charge for ages till full before turning it on.
Do i have to now delete the battery stats?
thanks..
My P6800 is also dead. Won't charge, whatever plug I try
Just ordered a replacement battery + tools for opening the device. Hopefully that will fix things.
I had very similar problems to MRBR7. I was about to order a new battery, but they were over $60 on ebay at the time. I ended up just buying a new tablet - a Nexus 7 2013 - rather than putting money into the old one.
However, I decided to experiment with the GT 7.7, so I took it apart, popped out the battery and hooked it up to a specialized charger than I have to remote control cars/planes/copters. The charger "conditions" LiPo batteries - discharging them and then balanced charging them back up. That worked. After the special charger did its thing I put the battery back in the GT 7.7 and it was happy.
Since then, though, I've had several mysterious and spontaneous reboots. I'm thinking of putting the stock ROM back on it to see if that will stabilize it.
Another weird issue is that the tablet doesn't seem to track how much battery power is left very well. It can drop 10-20% in a few minutes. I know it's not really dropping, but it is certainly weird. Now that the batteries are cheaper on ebay I may order one and replace it.
Edit: Update:
I did put the stock ICS back on my 7.7. It has been behaving nicely since then. No crashes. No reboots. No funny battery behavior. So I think I'll just leave it like that. Putting Nova Launcher on it meets most of my needs for customization, so I'm happy with it.
My tab is dead again. Don't know what happened. I'll try disconnecting the battery from the tab and connect it again, and then try to charge it. It won't charge now what ever charger I try.
If it doesn't work, I might go for the nexus 9

I live in Norway, so that's doable. The one I ordered on eBay took around 5 weeks to arrive...
That being said, I don't know if I will invest more in this tablet if it just keeps on destroying batteries. If I get it back up and running again I might try the stock ROM to check for battery drain.

I recently purchased a official Samsung Spare Battery for my N910C via a UK based online retailer. However I am having problems getting it to charge properly using fast charging. I've tried a couple of different battery calibration methods that I've found online.
Drain the battery fully then charge it and repeat the process 2 more times.
Drain the battery fully then charge it. After it's charged fully turn it on and you should notice that it's not fully charged. Plug it back into the charge and let it complete charging while the device is powered on. Then reboot the device and repeat the previous step if need.
But both of these methods don't work. Can somebody provide me with a walkthrough on how to correctly configure my new battery please?

I bought my replacement a couple of months ago directly from Samsung UK. Are you sure what you got is a genuine Samsung? There are so many convincing fakes about, which is why I went directly to the source to make sure I got the real thing. It cost a bit more, but worth it. Mine charged to 100% first time, and has been great ever since (6+ hours SoT). I never use fast charging though, always wireless charging. However, I did charge via USB the first three times, and two of those were from 0-100%. That's the only calibration I had to do. I would suggest avoiding fast charging for the first few charges (no scientific evidence for that, just my own opinion).
Other than what you have described though, I don't know of any other way of calibrating... this is essentially what I did "Use the phone until the battery goes to zero and the phone turns off. Do not turn it on. Plug in the charger and charge it to 100%. Drain the battery again and then charge it to 100%".

I would have gotten mine directly from Samsung too but they are current out of stock of the Note 4 batteries. I tried to calibrate it again but no joy. So I filled it a RMA form on the retailer's site and couriered it back to them for a replacement. Hopefully I just got a faulty battery.

Can highly recommend Anker if you have no luck with your replacement. Also PolarCell seem to have a good reputation - bit harder to get though: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UQPU2V6
there is a good chance that you got a fake battery.

I ordered a battery and got a fake one, it didn't have the NFC coils in it (you can visibly see that there was no raised section where the NFC coils sit, and also NFC wasn't able to scan or detect anything). It also didn't have the water damage sticker present.
I returned it and bought from another vendor, new battery works great and definitely has the proper NFC coils.

The faulty one that I got was also a Genuine Samsung Battery with the NFC coil and everything, I'm waiting for the retailer to send me a replacement unit.
Ok, so my replacement battery arrived yesterday. I got it to charge fully last night before I went to sleep. I drained it today and tried charging it but it stopped charging at 81%. I was just wondering is this because I was sent a official UK N910F Battery which is not compatible with my UAE N910C? Is that the reason why my replacement spare battery won't charge properly on my N910C?

This is a problem many people are having, I have searched the net extensively trying to find a solution, but no luck. I believe it started happening on one of the updates to 6.0.1. The only sure fire way to get your battery to charge fully is charge it until it stops charging (usually around 78-92%) then take the battery out and hold the power button down for a while then put the battery back in. It will usually jump to ~96% and will charge to 100%.
If you drain the battery below ~80% the same thing will happen. If you charge it before it gets down to ~80% it will charge fully. Sometimes you will need to unplug the charger and plug it in again to get it to charge. Hopefully they will fix this in the next update. This last update finally fixed the random boots for me. Before that I had to flash the ROM or do a factory reset about every 10 days.

Yes, the same thing happened to me. It would only do it with the new spare battery, but not the original. I thought the new battery was bad and thought about sending it back, but then the original battery started doing it after a few swaps also. I've bought two more spare batteries and they do it as well. I have a couple of cradles I keep plugged into the wall and usually just swap batteries when it gets low, but it gets to be a bit of a hassle as I have a defender case. Hopefully it will get fixed in the next update. Hard to believe that I have 4 bad batteries, but I guess it's possible.

I think I will try buying some Anker batteries and see if they work better. I've been buying the "New Original OEM Samsung" batteries from ebay. I just read a review about the Anker batteries on ebay and it said the "OEM replacement batteries would only charge to 90% and he thought it was his phone, but the Anker batteries last all day now." They cost a lot more, but it will be worth it if it gets rid of this annoying problem. I will post a follow up after I get them and let you know how it goes.
I'm having the same problem. Are there any batteries that are decent quality from Ebay or Aliexpress? It's all I have to choose from unfortunately. Luckily the seller is sending me a new battery but I'm afraid I'll just get more rubbish
Same thing happens with me.. the battery will just not show the precentage properly.
But what i have noticed is that when it gets to around the 80% mark and you seen it takin longer than usual to finish... take the battery out and insert it again.. it will then show up at 100% charged.
What I have also noticed is that when it gets to 15%, the power starts to drain faster than it should even in ultra power save mode.
so dont know what to do.

Try going to anker.com and see how much shipping from there is. I couldn't find any shipping rates, but I saw their warranty which says they will "take care of all quality-related issues with a FULL REFUND including any return shipping costs" for orders shipped internationally. You may have to make an account and put it in your cart to see how much shipping is or you can just email them. They also have Anker batteries on Amazon.
They are located in California and I'm in Washington state so hopefully I should get them soon and I will report back here if it fixes the problem. I sure hope it does because the phone is finally working pretty good except for this problem.

I found this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mA...QQA0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473638501&sr=8-1
They might ship through Amazon, but you can order them at their site.
