Moto GPE Status 7 Error

I have an Irish XT1032 converted to GPE and am running 4.4.4.
It's unrooted, but the bootloader is unlocked.
I have the OTA update downloaded from system update but each time I go to install it, I end up with a status 7 error. Why is this?
Running stock recovery too btw.
What can I do to install 5.0.1?
Thanks guys!
Do you try ti install the GPe ota from sideload and wipe data. the ota is official is not necessary install the ota from sideload if after to install ota get a bootloop on google just flash on fastboot the gpt.bin of kitkat and reboot

[Q]How do I retry Lollipop OTA flashing procedure? I'm stuck!

Here's the scenario:
I converted Moto G XT1033 4.4.4 to GPE 4.4.2
Then upgraded to GPE 4.4.4 and GPE 5.0.1, both by OTA
GPE 5.0.1 OTA ended up in softbrick
So now I cannot repeat the process beacause of the new bootloader, GPE 5.0.1 OTA brought with itself. And that bootloader would cause a hardbrick if I tried GPE 4.4.4 OTA on the device now
Questions: (No question is related to the other)
Would I be able to install Stock Lollipop OTA when I get one on 'Stock rom'? (I can revert to Stock 4.4.4) Would Stock Lollipop OTA mess up with the current bootloader, GPE Lollipop OTA has installed?
Is there any way I could flash Lollipop Stock image later, when it's available?
What can I do to set things right with the 'bootloader messup' that's caused right now?
Thanks, in advance!

You are another who has made a stupid mistake, you should HAVE READ MY THREAD!
You need to wait untill the Lollipop Factory images are published, then we can get a blankflasher and restore your bootloader.
Once your bootloader is working again, you can flash Lollipop without problems.
You need to wait 1 or 2 months.

Nope. I did read your thread after softbrick. And that's why I didn't install any OTA's after v5's.
I flashed 4.4.4. It's not an OTA!
I'm currently running 4.4.4 on 5.x bootloader.
Now what I'm asking is,
Would I be able to install 5.x OTA when I get it?
Before the factory image and all that thing.
PS: 5.x hasn't arrived for general public in INDIA yet. What I was trying was Brazil OTA.

[Q] How do I upgrade stock 4.4.4 (EU) to 5.0?

I recently soft bricked my phone (Moto G 2013 falcon) downgrading it from Cyanogen 12 to stock 4.4.4 (Argentina), so after many tries I ended up booting in stock 4.4.4 Europe retail (210.12.40.falcon_umts.EURetail.en.EU).
I try to upgrade that to 5.0, but the OTA update fails in the middle of the installation. Then I tried to download the OTA file manually and install it via stock recovery, but it fails too.
Is there any other way? Or do I have to convert it to 4.4.4 stock Brazilian or some other variation with more OTA files available?
Thanks in advance,
Are you unrooted, running stock recovery, and stock ROM?
Yes: unrooted, stock recovery, stock ROM. My bootloader is unlocked though, so I can easily root the phone or change the recovery.
I already tried with a (supposed) official 5.0 OTA for Europe using stock recovery, but it didn't work ("update failed" or so).
I have the Telus xt1032 8GB. Not sure if it runs or you need the same Telus firmware but I was able to flash back to stock 4.4.4, update Motorola apps, and take the OTA update via wifi. I did this three times on my xt1032 in the past 2 weeks without any problems.

If you root stock ROM, you'll get an update, but you won't be able to install it, because your system partition would be detected as tampered and update would fail. You need stock untouched ROM to update. If you have custom ROM, you won't get update at all.
It all comes to this - you have to have Completely stock rom without root (not unrooted but completely stock)

Flashing new OTA update on rooted MotoG3

Motorola has released new OTA update of 371.4 MB in India.
I read that since I am a rooted user I must not try to flash this update.
I would like the help from xda to install these updates. Should I install stock firmware 6.0.1 first?
Two ways to do it
1. Flash stock ROM 6.0from factory firmware link. Allow ota to download and phone should upgrade to 6.0.1
2. Flash the 6.0.1 stock ROM which is made available in factory firmware link. -Update: 6.0.1 is already the updated system with the new ota of 371mb.
Option 2 is more convenient.
While upgrading to mm 6.0 via ota, on my rooted phone I had tried flashing the stock recovery and cleaning the root. but it did not help and I landed with a soft bootloop. The ota checks for the original fingerprint of the stock system which is why you need to be on stock firmware for the ota update method.
You need stock recovery and stock firmware.
