Hello, I have ROOTed official ROM .17 with Android 4.2.2 and I want to connect to Ad-Hoc Wifi created from my notebook.
I read some information about it and I downloaded some modificed wpa_supplicant, but any was v2.0 what I need and WiFi didn't work.
Can anybody help me with it? I am not good in editing these files, but I need it (if it's possible)

kernel version is 2.6.29 everything was working great but now one month later my wi-fi is not working,i open wi-fi and its not doing anything not refress not any action to connent to any rooter its like it is turned off

Did you have "Remembered" any network?
If you did, try to forget all the remembered networks and then search again.

I downgraded my system, from 4.0.2.A.0.62 to 4.0.2.A.0.58, used the Wi-Fi enabler application from the market to see ad-hoc Wi-Fi, but now, I cant see any hotspot, and my Wi-Fi going to down after 4 seconds.
I can not update the firm with the PC Companion.
My device is a Sony Ericsson Live ( xperia ), and after I downgraded the firm, I rooted it.
Any help would be highlz appriciated.

I've just flashed my sony arc s with ICS LT18_4.1.A.0.562_NCB.ftf and my wi fi doesn't work. Anyone had the same problem? please give me an answer.

I guess that particular file you flashed has a bug that prevents wifi, which usually happens.. Have you tried an older version and checking if that works?
try reflashing the ROm
i cant scan for wifi networks and cant turn on wifi from settings
it automatically turns off

I am made to understand that just by changing the wpa_suppicant file in Android 4.4.2 i can enable adhoc networks for sharing the internet connection through LAN connection in my Laptop.Kindly guide me to the changes that has to mad to the wpa_supplicant file.
