I am made to understand that just by changing the wpa_suppicant file in Android 4.4.2 i can enable adhoc networks for sharing the internet connection through LAN connection in my Laptop.Kindly guide me to the changes that has to mad to the wpa_supplicant file.

Hello guys!
I downgraded my system, from 4.0.2.A.0.62 to 4.0.2.A.0.58, used the Wi-Fi enabler application from the market to see ad-hoc Wi-Fi, but now, I cant see any hotspot, and my Wi-Fi going to down after 4 seconds.
I can not update the firm with the PC Companion.
My device is a Sony Ericsson Live ( xperia ), and after I downgraded the firm, I rooted it.
Any help would be highlz appriciated.

I've an Acer Liquid Glow E330 with root permission.
I would replace wpa_supplicant file to permit the detect of ad-hoc networks.
The solution in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777413) doesn't work for this phone.
Is there another solution to apply?

Hey everyone this is my first post from me
i have installed the latest cyanogenmod 11 for htc chacha and it's working great but i have 1 problem that the Wifi doesn't connect to hidden network ( ssid not broadcasted )
wifi can scan for all networks but not connecting to my wifi
anyone can help please ???

Hello, I have ROOTed official ROM .17 with Android 4.2.2 and I want to connect to Ad-Hoc Wifi created from my notebook.
I read some information about it and I downloaded some modificed wpa_supplicant, but any was v2.0 what I need and WiFi didn't work.
Can anybody help me with it? I am not good in editing these files, but I need it (if it's possible)
