I have the same rogers phone the charger model number is SSW-2222US
I suggest the Playbook charger - it's a great Android (2A) charger and you can find it quite cheap these days. Charges the Razr quicker than the stock charger.
You can use any USB charger and it will work. I wouldn't go with less than 2 amps personally.
Hello guys,
I have a nexus 4 device and I'm very pleased with it.
currently I have a charged credit card with ~20-21$ on it.
looks like a great opprotunity to buy a nice wireless charger for my nexus.
I've seen the 23 dollars charger:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300964279534
which looks great but am missing like a dollar or two to complete the transaction.
I have the official LG nexus 4 bumper case and my deepest concern is
that when ill place the phone on the charging pad there will be a slight gap
between the two and therefore the phone will not be charged.
Two questions:
1) can someone with the LG nexus 4 bumper case can confirm he is charging with a wireless charger,
if so, which one?
2) what is the best wirless charger I can buy for my nexus 4
in the sum of 20$?
Thanks alot you guys and have a pleasent day!

1. I have the bumper and the Ringke Fusion cases and they both work with both my wireless charges.
2. I bought a generic white QI charger on Amazon and a 2.1A transformer. The QI charger will work with the factory nexus transformer, but it reall needs 2.0A to fast charge.

good to know I can charge wirelessly with the bumper case.

the electrical connectivity?
what do you mean the factory nexus transformer?

QI Charger: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E957NFC/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Transformer: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005CG2ATQ/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The wireless charger needs 2.0 amps to properly charge the phone. The factory tansformer is 1.1 amps. So I bought that 2.1 amp transformer to power the wireless charger.

you mean the charger cord of the nexus is 1.1 amps?
if so, why using 2.1 amp transformer?
wont it harm the device or should there be some kind of a bottle neck?
cheers

Not the cord, the USB/AC Adapter is 1.1 amps. You can use with the wireless charger, but the charger should be used with a 2.0 amp USB/AC Adapter to work it's best.

Look for Blackberry chargers. I picked up a set of 2 on ebay for $5 w/free shipping. They have 6' cords and charge extremely fast. As fast as my N7 adapter I use at home. I keep one in my pack for school and one at work. (i know you need european but i'm sure they have those too, just note BB has quality accessories)

Not all are the same. Not even close. I've used 2A chargers with a faulty cable that brought it down to 500ma. You will know when you find a good one, it will charge 0-100 in 40 minutes.

Is there any way to quickly check the output amperage from a charger? Can you take accurate readings from the phone with an app or something?

Any ideas on where to get a UK plug fast charger? I hear the Mate 8 plug works for fast charging.
I guess I won't even be able to find a car charger as well so my old fast chargers are useless now!

Hi, I am planning to buy this phone and the only thing holding me back is the slow charging time with stock 1A charger
Your comment provides some hope that phone can handle 2A [emoji846]
Is this your experience/observation or you found reference of this capability online?

I found this
Although the Huawei P9 lite can receive two amps and 10 watts of power from a charger, Huawei includes only a one amp and five watt power supply with the P9 lite, which results in rather slow loading times.

This is promising
However, couple of users have replied in other threads that phone doesn't charge any faster with 2A charger
If only someone who had this device could actually test and confirm...

If i understand for proper charging you need 2A charger and 2A capable USB. I ordered from ebay OEM Huawei 2A 5V charger and 2A 5V capable USB (Nikilin) just to test will it work.

Better be safe and use Huawei charger and best cable as you mentioned above
Do share your findings please...

Hi I've ordered a 2.4A charger (ravpower) but with ampere app I see it charges slower than the original one, the same using a 2.4 powerbank
Is this phone compatible with 2.0A charging or you need the original huawei 2.0 charger?
@Bumblecito can you please check how much charges with the mate 8 charger? Thanks

I spend a lot of time reviewing the dmesg output from the kernel and I have often seen mention an "FCC Limit" during charging. It is possible that the kernel is imposing a "limit" to be FCC compliant... Just a thought...

This is what I keep seeing in the log: https://github.com/Meticulus/androi...rivers/power/hisi/coul/hisi_coul_core.c#L2634
What I am seeing and measuring is that mine, the 3GB dual sim model, max current draw is 1.08 Amp.
This is the max the device will charge at no matter what if you connect a quick charge ... even a nuclear powerplant that can provide a billion Amps at 5V as long as the kernel or charging circuit is like now. A bit painful but I find the battery life to be good. Good enough so it won't be a deal breaker.
I've had phones that died while using the GPS in the car and on a charger, this one doesn't if you use a quality charger and cable.

eBay. Aliexpress. Maybe Amazon?
There is nothing "similar." It HAS to be Huawei's charger and cable for SuperCharge to work.

Yup purple markings. Theres some on ebay but idk if i trust them.

just ordered 3 USB-c from ali, going to see if they supercharge.
ordered 5 Anker USB-C cables 3x3ft, 2x6ft (have 0 usb devices) and none of them supercharge. it seems only the white and purple cable will supercharge!!
anyone know where to get another charger? im in talks with Huawei about chargers but they wont sell one seperatly.
"Regarding your last questions, you could buy another supercharger, but Huawei does not sell the products and accessories directly to end-users. As such, you will have to contact local or only retailers and purchase a 4.5 V / 5 A charger that is designed for the European region and is CE certified."
which i find frustrating cos i want to supercharge but i want to have a few chargers kicking about.

They won't sell you one DIRECTLY, that's what they're saying. You need to buy from a retailer. My local Mediamarkt sells them.

hola,
we (uk) dont have a media markt, and i cant find anywhere that sells superchargers.
although im going to germany in may, i know they have MM, so if anyone knows where to get them on the german website that would be much appreciated!
if anyone knows where to get one from in the UK that would be awesome.
Just charge it at night like I do. I leave it plugged at nights..

I would just ask Huawei for the list of authorized retailers in your country and then place an order with one of them.
For example my local Mediamarkt doesn't have them readily available but they're more than happy to place an order if I want. Same goes for the smartcover.

AM in the UK also I have asked Huawei about the charger and the response was check a retailer when i told them none of the retailers dont have any there response was we dont sell directly to customers.
Pretty poor when other OEM have chargers available
Any new information where i can buy Super Charge Charger or other compatible Charger?
I use my Nintendo Switch wall charger and car charger for my Mate 9. Both work flawlessly

The USB C to USB C cable that Google sells for the pixel works to supercharge. It worked for me with an Anker USB C PD charger that has 4 other USB A ports in it too I purchased the charger and cable to use with my chromebook pixel LS and plugged in my mate 9 on a whim... Io and behold two lightening bolts appeared and the phone charged at the crazy speeds of supercharge too!
Please give me a link to that cabels.

There's a difference between "fast charging" and "supercharge". I have a charger that will "fast charge" the M9, which still gives two lightning bolts, but it says "fast charging" rather than "supercharge". What does it say when you plug it in? I'm skeptical that it's actually supercharging. IIRC, fast charging shows two different sized lighting bolts, while supercharge shows two of the same size bolts (but my perception may have been off). My "fast charging" charger will charge the phone pretty fast, but not quite as fast as the original supercharge charger. And it seems that it does it with more heat in the phone than the supercharge charger.
