Hello, first off I have a Galaxy s3 SCH-I535, 4.3 software version. A few months back I rooted my phone, but. I decided to unroot it to get the 4.4.2 mostly because the "install software update now" screen kept, keeps on popping up every few hours. Sometimes not even an hour. I went to YouTube to check up on videos showing me how to unroot my phone. I found a user that supposedly showed how to unroot a phone without a computer. I followed his instructions and, technically, it worked. But I came to find out that his method didn't unroot my phone. I still can't update my software and I can't seem to be able to finish my uprooting. I even tried rerooting in order to unroot it by another mood but I can't do that either. When I try to reroot it with the "saferoot" method (which was the program I used to first root it) there is a sign that says "your kernel has being patched". It reinstalled SuperSU but the app says that it doesn't detect an SU binary. I'm lost. I really need help. I much much rather know how to finish my unrooting.

Hello Developers. I have Samsung Galaxy Alpha SM-G850F and i want to root it..
I treid all method (i guess). I also tried Rooting method of CF AUTO ROOT FILE which i did using by Odin tool.
But the problem is after flashing the file when phone reboots it shows SuperSu on my phone but when i open it to check whether its rooted or not it ask me to update binary. And when i try to update binary from Normal Mode it says installation failed.
I also checked with Root Checker Basic App and it also says that Your phone does not have root access in red lines.
I really want to use my phone's deep features but this wont me allow.
I really expect a reliable solution from here cause this is the only place where i can find some experts , pls Devs help me to root it. ( forgot to mention i also tried the one click root method, and very similar apps to root itself by phone.) Once root checker showed that my phone is rooted when i installed a app KINGUSER , and it was working to give root access to some apps. But i want to root with SuperSu. Got really frustrated:crying: by trying this hundreds of time pls help me. (And sorry for Bad English)
My Model is SM-G850F Android version 5.0.2 Lollipop
Baseband G850FXXU1COC1 .... Build Number G850FXXU2COD4

I apologize if this is posted elsewhere in the forums, or if it's incorrectly placed, But I figured it may be useful to some.
after hours of looking and browsing the internet, I finally found a way to root my Samsung Galaxy J1 by Verizon.
You will need the following: Samsung Galaxy SM-J100VPP non rooted
Kingoroot application OR
Kingroot application.
Step 1) Go to your dialer and enter *#*#759#*#* or install an app called Hidden Menus and look for "Rlz Debug UI..."
Step 2) turn OEM Mode ON
Step 3) Use KingoRoot or King Root and click root.
This will work on devices that have received the OTA update from VZW.

If anyone knows of a CWM Recovery or Custom Roms For this device, I would very much appreciate a link. if not, I will have to try to port it myself. Thanks in advance.

Bunk help
I've tried the king method and odin method and still can't root this J100VPP.
I even tied to brick it nothing. The king method stops at 90 percent. I'm lost, I need a new idea.
I have the exact same phone and I was able to root with kingroot.net. If I remember correctly I had to do it two times before it was successful.
Patience

I had a Samsung Galaxy J100VPP from Verizon, an I move to Guatemala, and a rooted the phone, and I need use the phone in Guatemala with the Guatemalan Companies, the companies are Tigo, Claro and Movistar, what you did to put in work your phone in Venezuela??? Help Please
Old thread but I just got root using Kingroot 4.9.5 to root SM-J100VPP with andriod 5.1.1 confirmed and working.:good:
Working for me but afraid to update it with the chainfire one want exposed on this
It worked for me with Kingroot and Hidden Menus but after optimizing with Kingroot and uninstalling a few bloatware apps, it crashed, restarted (with the open lock icon, "custom" underneath, now on startup) and no longer has root access in Root Checker, it saying "Root access is not properly installed on this device".
I think it should be noted that Kingroot originally told me root access was unavailable but below also said "Root strategy available, just try it", so I did. Now it seems that wasn't permanent. I won't attempt it again unless one of you has a lead that requires me to.
And how do I know if I got the OTA update from VZW?
Anyone else have this problem?
I am a greenhorn with this stuff. This is my first root attempt. Please be specific when directing me somewhere if needed.
I used Kingo root and after a few tries it worked. I like this better because I can use tasker with the build in Superuser (after build prob mod of course and for some reason supersu). I was not able to get tasker to work with King root.

The hidden menus is an app you can download from the play store to enable Rlz Debug UI to OEM mode. I have used Kingroot (which is the closest i get to rooting the phone) and Kingoroot. Just go to their sites and download the APK.
While I have found tons of tutorials for rooting various models of the s5, I haven't found mine yet. Here's the details:
Galaxy s5
model: SC-04F
carrier: NTT Docomo (Japan)
android 5.0 Lollipop
kernel version: 3.4.0-5605451
KNOX version: 2.3
Admittedly I am in over my head. It's my first time attempting a root and this model seems to be a tricky one. In my search I found a few automated solutions for the SC-04F model of gs5, but they were all meant for android 4.4.2. I decided to give it a try despite this difference (not a good idea, I'm sure). This method revolved around flashing with Oden using a CF-Auto Root file. Oden flashed the device, restarted it and gave me the green "passed" notification. After flashing I used Root Checker to verify, and sure enough it was rooted.
So far so good, but then I opened SuperSu (which installed as part of the automated flash) and it needed to update binaries. I tried the "normal" installation method, which failed, and then did some reading that suggested updating the SuperSu app from the Play Store. It did need an update, so I updated. This changed nothing. Just out of curiosity I check Root Checker again, and all the sudden I was no longer correctly rooted.
I have tried repeating the flash process from the beginning to no success. I haven't been able to root it since. Nor have I been able to use SuperSu to "Full Unroot" the device. I would like to have one or the other; establish root or completely unroot. I seem to be somewhere in the middle and it's very frustrating.
Any pointers?
