I recently just noticed an extremely thin surface scratch on my S8. I was gonna get some oleophobic coating from ebay however i heard that rain-x works too. What are your thoughts on this?
Hey guys!
I had a stupid idea and found some people on reddit backing it up, but I would like to run it trough you guys first.
I found this product: https://www.gearbest.com/scratch-repair-pen/pp_009991554757.html?wid=1433363
It's a ceramic 9H scracth resistant, for cars :silly:
My ideia was, what if I used it to give a "bath" to my Nex? Do you think the finger. reader and touch would still work? If not, do you I think it would protect the phone if used only on the back with a hard glass on front?
That way I could stop using the dammn cases...
Thanks for your input!

My first thought is that glass shatters and ceramic cracks and chips anyway. It may help with scratches but as soon as you have a major drop it's gone. I'll take a case over anything else for the shock absorption.

Yes but I have no problem with it cracking if it protects the phone. It's like the tempered glass, it cracks easily than the screen, but I don't mind changing it once in a while if my screen is protected.
My question is if it would protect the glass back, and also if it would work on the front glass with all the underdisplay sensors

My opinion is it won't protect against anything other than scratches. The glass shatters due to shock and that's what a case minimizes. I don't know if any of the screen sensors would work though.

Anyone ever try it? I ordered some and will let you guys know how it comes out. I've been cleaning only with Woosh and a microfiber cloth and using Spigen Nano liquid but it doesn't last long. But decent results. I have yet to find a really good oleophobic replacement coating as of yet.
Hi
I've been trying to find anything on Amazon or Ebay but no luck :/
Has anybody came across anything that could do similar job? Cheers!
Hi,
Bought Samsung A73 5G recently and I am unable to zero in on a tempered glass, badly confused after searching and researching nonstop.
Actually I wanted to use Spigen but it is out of stock in India, other reputed brands like ESR and Rhino are also not available online.
Can anyone suggest a tempered glass which is durable for fall impact and does not cause bubble and other issues?
Thanks and regards
No reply in A73 forum!
Seems no one use tempered glass on their phone! C'mon guys, don't be lazy, suggest a good brand...
Is popio a good, durable brand? Can I choose it since premium ones are not available online...
