[Completed] Google Play Services has Stopped CONSTANTLY after full wipe on Kyocera Hydro Icon - XDA Assist

Hi everybody.
I recently purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Kyocera Hydro Icon from Freedompop.com a few weeks ago. I did a lot of research about it before I bought it, and the first thing I saw was "Kyocera Hydro Icon Certified Pre Owned. Price: 39.99" I clicked on the Pre-Owned link and it said this. "Our Certified Pre-Owned phones are Guaranteed to be in Like New condition because all Freedompop Certified Pre owned phones are Cleaned, Repaired, Sanitized and have been fully wiped, even before they are shipped. Right after I read "Have been fully wiped" I thought "Since this phone is an android phone, they probably deleted Gapps and Google play services while they wiped them. I know that a lot of the google apps and tons of apps on the Google play store (that I'll definitely be using) require google play services to run." I thought about not buying the phone, but it was a really good deal, so I bought it. One week later, I received the phone in the mail and I set it up and updated it. I added my google account and tried to sign in with it in an app, and it said "Unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped." And it did that EVERY SINGLE TIME I tried to sign into an app using my google account, it said "Unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped." I use my google account more than every day, so I needed to get this fixed as soon as possible, thus Freedompop should really stop wiping their phones THAT much!

[Resolved] Play Store 403 Errors

I was going to post this in a device specific forum but it happened on both of my CM 10.2 devices at the same time. This isn't a question so much as how I managed to solve the problem.
I was getting a 403 error and unable to download a lot of updates for some apps. Specifically Lux and 2Do as well as some issues with SkySafari and a number of other paid apps. The error seems to have something to do with apps having been bought on one but not both of my Google accounts. Like many I have a "household" Google account to keep from having to buy one app 6 times or more often subscribe to a magazine or buy a book for every individual in my family.
So, I went around and I did the thing where you remove all of your Google accounts, wipe data on Play Store, Services, and Framework and then add back. I started to have to do that every single time one of the problem apps updated. For Lux I did a test and bought it on both accounts, this cleared up the problem. Not going to happen though, defeats the entire point. Finally on one of my trials I uninstalled the updates to the play store and then cleared the data. Quickly I went in and the updates installed as long as I went into the "My Apps" under "All" and selected the account that actually paid for them.
So, I hope this helps someone before they end up doing the nuclear option and completely formatting a device and starting fresh, trying to get the errors to stop.
For what its worth the Play Store version I finally got to work is v4.3.10 and v4.4.21 (the current version) seems to have some kind of bug where this kind of problem can happen.

[Completed] Cannot Connect to Google Play After Updating to Lollipop (LG G2)

So I wasted a good 5 hours trying to get my phone to connect to the Google Play store. It worked perfectly fine up until I decided to update to Lollipop. Thinking that was the problem I tried a bunch of suggestions online like clearing cache of the app and whatnot. Ended up doing a factory reset to see if it fixed the issue and it did not. No matter what account I tried to log into it would always say it could not connect even though I could use the internet fine on the phone. Ended up trying to log into my main email address on my old phone and found it was doing the same thing. I wake up this morning and my brother tells me he hacked in-app purchases on his phone and can get any in-game item that requires real world money purchases for free. After telling him he's an idiot and could possibly get in trouble with the law and his accounts banned I then realized when he took over my Droid RAZR he has always been using my Google Play account because he is too create his own Google account.
Thus leading me to the conclusion that my Google account has been banned from the play store. I've look all around in my e-mail and can't find any signs of it being banned.
Does anyone here know how I can figure out of this is truly the case? Sorry for the wall of text... and thanks in advance!

Replacing Chinese firmware with European? (Huawei Nova 2s)

Hello XDA!
I'm in China, lost my phone on the weekend and have just replaced it with an Huawei Nova 2s.
I cant stand it to be honest, but i'm committed to trying to make it work, the only way i can see this happening would be to gain access to Google Play Store and services, but as for as much as i have searched online i can not find any advice specific to my model. I have tried many methods and have made it as far as to download the three files (playstore, frameworks and services) but my phone will not pass the initial "checking info" page when i comes to signing in to my google account. (I didn't realize the phone was such a recent release, and has only been released in China so far).
Is it possible to remove the chinese software/firmware all together and install a european version, from a slightly older Nova model?
Would rooting help me in this situation?
Any advice is appreciated,
DylanJ
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem. I have bought it on china and only realized that the chineese firmware is the only one. The in build Hiapp is total crap, it does not allow you to register without chineese mobile number, and does not allow change region. Did you manage to run Play market anyhow? I have installed but it does not run and does not say anything. Rooting might prevent future update.... So I am also interested to make it free world fashion functioning.
Installation of Google apps

How can replacing chinese firmware with european for huawei nova 2 s
Have you guys had any luck?
I got the Huawei Nova 2s in China Last December, not realising it would be China Exclusive at the time. As soon as i left China, I searched it up immedietly but couldnt find anything on this model so i just followed other articles and threads and stuff. I ended up installing the following:
Google play store, Google play services, Google play services for instant apps, Google Accounts manager, Google Services Franeworks (and a GMS with a GMS installer before all those idk if that made any difference other than adding a Google tab in settings but that had nothing important).
After doing so i could FINALLY open google play store..
BUT
it was stuck on a checking info loop T^T
then i decided to go on google and just search to the latest versions of the things i downloaded. apparrently all the websites i used provided doenloads that werent the latest version so i deleted all of them and installed the updated apks.
after doing so i got something i thought i would nev get....
A notification from google play services telling me to update it in the play store. So i clicked on it and waited on play store...
And then...
It happened...
IT WORKED
I COULDNT BELEIVE IT
i downloaded all the apps that u would need ( youtube i downloaded from an apk ;P but i updated it on the play store and i logged in on youtube which logged me in on play store)
*BUT*
After a week or so it stopped working again.
I went on youtube an it wouldnt load.
I went on the play store and it wouldnt load
I went on google chrome an it wouldnt load
I was so sad and i did the stupid thing of deleting everything and reinstalling it
now every 2-4 seconds i get a notification from play services
and you might be thinking "But i thought u said that was good!"
It was when it worked.
I clicked on it the first time after reinstalling and google play store wouldnt load so I just gave up.
but like i said i recieve notifications every 2-4 seconds. It was really annoying and eventually i just blocked it from sending notifications.
I think the problem with why it didn't work again was because if you go to:
Settings then "User & Accounts"
I have a tab that says "Google"
and when i click on it it has the accounts i logged in on.
The reason why I think this is a problem is because it is already logged in and the app wants me to log in.
I have tried to remove the accounts but it didn't work for some reason.
(BTW i installed all the different things after reading MANY posts and articles and stuff, Google accounts manager being the last one i installed i think.)
Also keep in mind that this was all in the period of January and February.
Eventually i just gave up.

Hello, I just had the same problem as mentioned earlier, and I was able to solve it by first intalling GMS with the installer, and then downloading the latest Google Play services from apkmirror.

This works very well! Thank you!
Hey there,
really seems to be a problem of non-Chinese people to be tricked into the Nova 2s XD
I have the same problem, coming from Austria. Is there any possibility to use an international ROM of e.g. the Nova 2 on it? I am really going nuts with all the Chinese system messages. Google Play works but I am still having some issues and the Huawei Apps are mostly not usable without any Chinese language knowledge.

Help, Huawei Nova 2s. Google play services and apps

Installing google play store on a chinese Honor DUA-TL00 (Play 7, 7s)

Hi everyone;
This last week I've desperately been trying to install the google play store and google family of apps into a honor phone that I bought in China on September 2018. I've looked through and through around the web trying to find a solution that worked; installing the GSM app, installing everything by myself (downloading the APKs one by one from APK mirror - Google play services, services framework, contact sync, etc.), giving every kind of permit and right to them, but when it comes to using them, they won't function properly. Google play store doesn't get past the first screen (won't let me click the green "start session" button), Gmail will open like it's the first time I use it every time, and won't let me link a gmail account (again, button doesn't work - if I try to link a hotmail account it does), and so on.
I feel like this is a nice phone for the money and there should be a solution - and so I resort to you guys. Has any one of you dealt with a similar issue before? Any ideas as to what might work? Android version is 8.1 if that helps in any way.
Kind regards,
马俊义
