I've ordered some adhesives from them (as my screen is coming off after being replaced in service ).
thanks, updated list. Some of their prices are cheaper but some not. great find tho
does the black glass cover come with the Xperia logo on the back? as it doesnt show it on witrigs.
also if i remove the ASF layer from the glass back is the xperia logo on the ASF same as Sony is on the front screen?
Never mind just watched the video comparing the two and the Xperia is on the glass NOT the ASF :victory:
why couldn't Sony put the bloody SONY logo on the front glass instead of the ASF!?
Would be awesome if we could buy an OEM replacement front screen glass with the SONY logo on the glass not the ASF, or better yet... an OEM replacement with the logo and just glass - no ASF.
great stuff thank you
one question i have a z1s would this basically be the same steps?

Hello!
Hello I just want to know, is it possible to change the whole housing of Z1C without damaging the LCD? I mean like, I own a White Z1C and I want to change to black housing..?
Yes, it's doable. You basically need 3 parts, plus a lot of double sided adhesive tape (original).

3 Parts? Not 4? Sorry I don't quite understand, as I thought there will be back cover, back panel, middle frame & front lcd supporting panel.
Middle frame and the plastic part sustaining the panel are being sold as one. You will need the sim/usb/SD covers as well
Hey guys,
i need to replace my ear piece speaker mesh, can i just buy the speaker mesh and replace it or am i going to have to replace all of the adhesive strips and pull my phone phone apart completely?
Done a bit more research and if im right all i need to do is pry the screen off replace the ear peice mesh and then the screen adhesive and then put the screen back on?
Ive pulled apart and put back together many phones just not waterproof phones so am assuming i need to place any adhesive thats even remotely involved in the repair

Are you still waiting to do this? If so, what model number do you have? I have a black and want to change for white...
hi folks
I cracked my bottom speaker grill. Many resellers have it
http://rounded.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact-d5503-deco-cover-black-for-speaker-grill.html
but how it's hooked to the main frame? If it's simple it's definetely a go, if I have to disassembly the whole phone is definitely a no-go thanks, no teardown video was useful for now

Found a solution? Trying to do the same thing
I've tried to find out online where the antenna is located for the Xperia Z3. Closest I could get to is some pictures, BUT I don't know what's what in the photos...So
Can anyone please let me know where the location of the antenna is on the Xperia Z3?
This will also answer another question I've seen around - will a border / bumper case (so it doesn't cover the back, just the edges of the phone) made of aluminum ruin the reception quality on the phone?
- if the antenna is on the sides of the phone - more than likely, yes
- if the antenna is inside the phone at the back, no.
An extra, anyone else impressed with the reception of the phone? Above and beyond anything I've used before.
Cheers!

This'll be too late for u but may help some other poor bugger.
There are 5 antennas if you count the wifi cable.
1. WiFi cable. Left hand side where mag charge is.
2. Wifi/blu aerial left hand side next to usb
3. Gsm/4g aerial bottom behind mic
4. Nfc aerial on back of rear battery cover where nfc logo is printef
5. Sub aerial Top of fone behind speaker.
All are located behind battery cover. I have no idea what the sub one does. Maybe someone will tell us Source: Me (i replaced my screen and broke the main aerial in the process).

Hello everyone, I am thinking of buying the Z3 over Z3 compact because the Z3 will possibly manage heat better: larger surface + metal frame + heat pipe to dissipate heat from the cpu\gpu. With that in mind, does the Z3 still suffer from the front or back plates comming unglued? A friend of mine has z3 compact and he has his screen re-glued, replaced + new frame several times, because of his front screen panel becoming unglued and sticking out causing proximity sensor and earpiece not to work. Does this happen to the big brother of Z3 compact too?
Cheers! :good:
Changed battery on mine. Had the backpanel off and resealed it myself, And still holds in place firmly. My screen is showing no signs of gaps the 2 years I had it.

OK, so I have this beautiful new phone and enjoying all of it's deliciousness.
I'm wondering what the lens material is , I'm pretty sure it's not Sapphire since it just doesn't seem to have that look, Sapphire tends to have less transparent look about it but I could be wrong. I believe it has a higer reflectivity(??) index than glass and it's actually not ideal 4 lenses and screens for this reason. Having said that maybe you wouldn't use it on a Hasselblad but its perfect for a phone.
I've had a fair bit of a look around and I can't find any mention of it. it's definitely glass but what kind?
And further to this I wonder if anyone's going to make some protection for it?

Leica will use optical glass that is designed for cameras.
Any sort of protective cover will have inferior optical qualities and reduce the picture quality.
I do agree in principal, but once you have a scratch or just the micro scratches from a year or more of use, i submit that a replacable protective cover / film will in the long term yield benefits. Two phones ago i got a sctratch on my lense and that was that! Looked like crap from then on. I always had one on my Xperia Z3 I even did some back to back comparisons on my top of the line 4K TV, I could not for the life of me tell any difference between the two. Nor could the Missus. So I left it on and replaced it a couple of times, happy days! And I'm a rough bugger so my phone's get abused
It probly has what Huawei has uses in their phones this year. I'd say the same as the p9 and honor 8
Hi guyz
I lack the plastic part in my sony z3, which covers flash diode. I don't know why it's not there. I was just replacing my colegue's LCD while I noticed it. Everything would be fine if only flash photos wasn't stained with light from flash diode.
I circled in the attachment this plastic part i miss in mine z3. Another photo is a photo made by this z3 with the light steins coming from flash diode(right side of the picture). I managed to reduce this steins by like 80% already by putting some thin tape between camera and led flash, but I'm not satisfied with it. I can put it more... true, but my question is if anybody know how to call this part and if i can buy it anywhere. Or someone can tell me the messurements so i can print it with my another friend's 3d printer. Or maybe someone can come with another solution ?
