[Completed] Moving Apps To SD Custom ROM - XDA Assist

Hello!
I'm wondering if anyone can please help. I will give you a thanks.
I have this rom on my phone called JFLTE-GPE 5.1. It works great but I have ran out of space and there is no option in Apps to move to SD card.
I have downloaded link to SD card and partitioned my SD card with fat32 and ext 4 but still get this error.
Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks mate but I've tried that already as I stated in the main post.

[Q] Samsung Tab 2 Apps to External SD Card

Hi all,
I've just purchased a Samsung Tab 2 7.0 P3113 due to the fact that it has an external SD Card slot. I have found that I can not move any applications to the external card. This was one of the primary reasons I purchased the device. I have been using android devices for a while and my first Sony X10, was rooted and running custom roms within the first few weeks after I purchased it. In any case, I have read a number of threads, regarding this subject for the Tab 2 but I have not been able to have an installed app be moved to the external SD Card. Most post will say you have to root the device, (which I have) and use apps such as App2SD. I have even gone as far as loading a custom ROM, but no success. My last resort is to actually partition and repackage a ROM for an external 64GB SD Card and attempt to boot off of it so I will have more space. If anyone has truly been able to move an installed app to the external SD Card could you please point me in the right direction.
I would like some help on this too. But the silence is haunting.
Found this under a compilation thread that covers the 3113's and is down further on the same page in this forum.

I hope this helps and sorry for the re-re-re editing
AFAIK (and correct me if Im wrong veterans), is a defect of the OS not hardware. ICS and JB of the GT2's do not allow it as the internal memory is already labeled as sdcard. or that seems to be the prevailing opinion so far. I would like a work around but short of flashing a custom rom and/or kernel it seems unlikely to happen. Downside to that is some things don't work all the way in some roms. Ahh for the old days of my stock+ on my incredible. wait. Im still using it from back last summer and it works fine. TY wildstang!!

Hail Link2SD !!
Only way to move Apps to ExternalSD is using Link2SD for ICS / JB. I have done lot of research and there is no other way. However Link2SD does not move the data files and hence your internal memory will still be filled up as and when you install more apps but at slower rate.
If you want to install games like NFS-MW , Asphalt etc you have to use DirectoryBind tool to move the huge data files (More than 1.5 GB) to external card.
There is a nice tutorial how to use Link2SD here on the forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=919326).
You can use ext4 partition as i found ext2 and ext3 were not being recognized by Link2SD. Just a pointer.
PS: ICS and above no longer support moving apps to SD card. If i am wrong experts correct me.
root is your best bet. check this link, use the script and follow the directions. this script worked wonders. my tab thinks i have 32 gb internal and 4gb sd.

[Q] Acer Liquid E2 shows I only can move1,65gb apps2SD while I put 8gb card, why?

Hello,
because there is no specific forum section for this device I ask my question here, I hope the mods can move it to the correct forum section...
Yesterday I bought a brand new Acer Liquid E2, I love the phone but there are problems!
First: I put a 32gb MicroSD card in the phone and it crashed and now my 32gb MicroSD card is damaged!
Then: I put a 8gb MicroSD card in the phone, it has recognised the card but when I try to move apps to sd card the phone shows that it has only 1,65gb memory while I have 8gb MicroSD capacity!!!
Can anyone tell me for God's sake why the hell I only can move 1,65gb apps on SD while I have more memory!!!???
I hope we can fix that problem otherwise I will turn my phone back.
Thanks in advance

I have an acer liquid e2 and encountered that problem to
the problem is that you only can move apps to the internal SD-Card
there are 3 different memory "cards" on the acer e2
4gb internal memory splitted in two parts
- 1.65 gb usable as internal SD (sdcard0)
- and the rest is the internal memory for the android OS and other stuff
Your external SD card (sdcard1)
When you move apps to sd it will automatically move them to sdcard0 wich is only 1,65GB
somwhere
There is a way to switch the sdcard0 and sdcard1 so you can move as many apps to your sd as it is big but you need root to do this
rooting the acer liquid E2 is still a bit experimental but soon everything will be possible with our E2 its an awesome phone for the relatively low price so don't turn it back so soonsomwhere
I saw this somewhere on a french android forum will post the link if i can find it
Hi,
An official update from Acer is on its way to allow external SD to be used for apps. Should be there soon.
Root is not experimental it's very easy to do and you also can get CWM recovery, a way to swap internalSD and externalSD plus a way to extand internal memory (won't be necessary when Acer releases its update).
I have all this written in French but lack time to translate those in English. Don't hesitate to go to the forum request thread so XDA opens a forum for the E2

Has this update (ability to move or install apps to ext SD card) now available? Can someone provide a link, please? I tried to find it in Acer's web site but found nothing.
Thanks!
It's being distributed as an OTA update so you're phone should warn you of the availability (unless you're rooted).
I have the WW_GEN1 version available here . Just copy it to SDcard and flash through recovery.

[Completed] Possible to move app to SD card?

Device: Micromax Canvas Spark Q380
Android Version: Lollipop 5.0
UI: Stock with Android N-ify
Problem: I partitioned my 32GB SD card and used 'App2SD' app but it says that my external storage is emulated with internal(or maybe vice versa). I only have 8GB internal storage so I'm pretty limited here. Is there any solution for this? Oh, I might flash a custom ROM(which has Move App to SD card or adaptive storage feature) but I'm saving it for last because somebody told me that I cannot delete a ROM once I flash it on a device(Lemme know please if that is wrong and ROMs can be removed once flashed).
Thanks. You guys have been great and very helpful.

if you have root, there are a number of different apps that you can use for that.

like? I've used many like External2Internal but nothing quite worked, although I was somehow successful to make SD card as direct location to store downloads, etc but that really isn't my point. I can always use a cloud for those stuff.

Installing custom Rom on 16GB External SD Card

hello Guys!
I am using a Karbonn Titanium S5 plus and its specs are pretty good for me. The only issue I have is that the internal memory is low and so I was thinking maybe somehow I can install my custom ROM on my 16Gb External SD Card. Well the question is clear I hope... Do I have any option to do this ?? If yes then then any guidance would be a great help.
*** P.S. : I thought of changing the updater-script file, the part where the where the mount points are mentioned. i thought of changing those points to the external sd card but then without proper knowledge I backed off and thought to put the question here.
:fingers-crossed:

Question ROM (10) Suzu AOSP stable on xperia x 5121 does not support my sd card?

My greetings to all,
I have a problem regarding the android 10 AOSP ROM on my xperia x (suzu).
I installed the ROM and everything is working fine if I can say it like that. Except my problem is the Sd card which is not supported. And he asks me to format it. What I did with a message which subsequently states that I can use my card now on the phone. Except that I still have nothing, not even a trace of the SD card in the file manager. Could you help me? I really like this ROM and would like to keep it. If there is a possible solution, please help me. I am attaching some screenshots to messages I got with the SD card. I also specify that to flash the ROM I have to send everything on the SD card and use TWRP to flash it. The SD card shows up well on my computer and the Oreo 8.0 Stock ROM on the phone itself. I have to format the SD card in Fat32, exFat, Ntfs but still nothing. I tell myself that maybe it is the ROM which does not accept the sd card. Ah yes I was going to forget, to flash the ROM, I used the kernel of android 9 pie and I don't have another SD card to check if it works or not with another. I also admit that I am not too good at handling. I just came across a tutorial here that I followed(rom-10-suzu-aosp-stable) . Thank you and sorry for taking so long.
