I bought a 16 gb dual sim moto g 3. Assuming it will have 2gb of memory and it only have 1 gb. It's not a counterfeit phone as i bought it retail. Did you know about this version?
What is the exactly model number?
can you take screenshots & show us the system specs of your phone?
install any thirdparty apps like CPU-Z from playstore check if you are saying it correctly or not ..
i am excited to know the answer
Hi, i have this model XT1543 im from México, and buy my moto g in walmart. Any custom ROM for this device?pls need to know wich custom ROM runs in this phone because have 16gb storage, 1gb RAM and 2 sim.

I have the same model (XT1543, dual-sim, 16gb storage, 1gb ram) also from walmart. And I have unlocked bootloader and root, but haven't flash any rom yet, neither stock because I'm still a little worried about which version should I choose.
I'd choose the xt1543 for 1gb RAM but can't me sure. Here are some pictures from CPU-Z

Also have an 16GB 1GB XT1543 here. I installed some days ago one of the XT1543 1GB rom that appears in the ROMs thread and worked without problems so any rom for XT1543 with 1GB of ram should be fine even if you have 16GB of internal storage.

Hi
I'm interested to get this phone but I had two quick questions
1. How much of the 1gb ram is availible, under settings --> about phone
2. I'm interested in 16 GB. How much storage available out of box.
I think this was already discussed in other threads...

I was able to find out that about 13gb is available. But I still wanna know number 1 question. In OP someone with the phone can you check please
1. USed RAM booster to check and its 882 MB free. Around 480MB free and 400MB "loaded", 22MB cached.
2. 11.75GB free
This is on 16GB UK version.

Thanks for the info. But is the 882 what you guy out of the box or are you on custom ROM and kernel.
mine has 350mb free right now, but most of the time is 400mb free usable
and 13gb of internal space
Don't worry about the RAM, I never run out, it's not noticeable as a problem at any time.
Free RAM is wasted RAM.

So yesterday I got my cousin's Nexus 4 side by side with my Moto G, and I went to apps, and I noticed something: the Nexus 4 has about 400 MB used of RAM (out of 2 gigs) and the Moto G was using a little over 500...
The weird thing is, we are identical users (no useless apps, just what we need), except he has the Facebook app installed (which makes my Moto G unusable due to RAM usage)
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT COULD BE THIS INEXPLICABLE DIFFERENCE? I mean, we are both on Dalvik, both were on a fresh reboot, background apps were the same, and he has the Facebook app installed (~80 MB extra RAM USED)
One more weird thing I noticed was that the Moto G used some extra 5 MB of RAM for some 3rd party apps (SwiftKey and Whatsapp)
I have the stock xt1033 4.4.4 (asian ds)
Can you also post a screenshot of you RAM usage and which apps are open?
I thing it is because nexus 4 have pure android and in moto g android is little modified by motorola.even if you freez or uninstall motorola app.you still have few motorola app service running in the background.

Sorry OT, couldn't resist myself asking this as I'm trying to find how menu button icons can be replaced with the ones you have running on the phone like nexus 5? I'm on stock Asia ROM . tried finding the option on nova launcher but....
Hello, all!
I've got an xt1045 (Moto G 4G), and it just came to my attention that Lollipop has finally been released for xt1045 (I'd frozen a bunch of the Motorola services with Titanium Backup in order to save on RAM usage).
I'm wondering whether I should upgrade to Lollipop? My brother has a Moto X (1st gen), and says it's very laggy for him, despite loads of free RAM.
On my Moto G 4G I am constantly battling with low RAM, and am never able to have more than one tab open in Opera without it reloading (and occasionally it will simply fail to load due to a lack of RAM). I've gone through and frozen everything I can, I've Greenified anything that runs in the background, but still have problems. At this point, I am just looking to get a new phone (minimum 3GB... I NEVER want to deal with this BS again) whenever I can find a job, but for the time being am stuck with this crap.
Will I be worse off with Lollipop?
Thanks!
ElectroPulse
Go ahead and update to 5.1,because lollipop made a completely "new phone" from this device......multitasking works fine compared to 4.4.4 I can switch between 4-5 apps without any redraws
Btw here is the screenshot of the ram usage

Alright, thanks! I'll give it a try.
Hello, I will be upfront in saying I know very little about androids.
I am looking to get a fairly inexpensive android for the purposes of rooting it to play mobile games. I believe I have found the Xiaomi Note 7 pro to the that phone (unless you have a better phone in mind).
A discord server I am apart of told me that Chinese Global Roms can be flashed instead of factory sealed, again, this is foreign to me. I am looking at purchasing it from a Chinese supplier website. I am wondering if this is a problem for rooting.
I have attached images of the phone I am looking at, if you can give me any advice that would be greatly appreciated.

A mighty debate took over Samsung's new Galaxy A12 smartphone, its Indian price of 13k and its Mediatek Helio P35 chipset. How do you see this device?
Yeah, this is a good device but talking about budget segment I like Moto E7 Power more because of the Mediatek gaming chipset in it.

You must first enable the "Developer Options" before you can do this... then 'Force allow apps on external' Pain staking process of individually moving apps from internal to external tho.
