[Q] OTG USB and Music Player - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

Hello, just received my Meegan OTG USB Micro adapter, moved my Music to the msdcard, but now, when I launched the music Player Pro app, there is no music file except the one that is in the internal storage Samsung folder. Tried to force in the music player app settings to search in the external sd but no luck. If I go thru Astro File Explorer, I can see the external sd and all the music, but the Player Pro app only open the song that I selected and not continues playing the other songs.
Any recommendation?
(EDIT) Tried with VLC player and now I am able to play more than one song...

PowerAmp work good with otg

Neutron also works once you point it to the file location on the OTG.
Neutron is audiophile quality listening...

[Q] music on external storage

Hi!
Could you help me figure out how to make Music Player play songs from mp3 player connected via usb cable? I connect Sony Walkman E453 to Transformer, can browse, copy etc. all the files, but none of the mp3 files shows up in stock music player or n7player. How to fix that?
I had the same problem. The only answer I had found is to utilise the player of es explorer. With it, you can listen a file or a folder.

try poweramp,
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5tYXhtcHouYXVkaW9wbGF5ZXIiXQ..
if your usb is mounted you can direct poweramp to look for music on the usb.
or you can try forcing a media scan after you plugin the usb
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.addz.mediascanner&hl=en
Thanks, PowerAmp really plays (and scrobbles) all the music from my mp3 player. If there is no way to make other players (e,g, n7player) do the same, beause none of the media scannig apps seems to work, looks like I will have to stick with poweramp and see if I can buy it

External USB drive not recognizing by music player?

Hey guys
I'm connecting my USB drives via the OTG cables...
My s5 seems to recognize the drive and I can open all the folders and files
However, my music player doesn't recognize the drive (it only scans the internal phone drive, along with the MicroSD (extSDcard), and not the USB that i plugged in via OTG cable
Is there a way I can make my music player recognize the drive? I tried 3 music player, Winamp, rocketplayer, n7player
Basically.... if there a way to allow the systems to show rooted audio folders

If you use a file manager like Root Explorer, you can navigate to the USB drive and tap when you tap the music file, it should ask you what to use to play the file. AFAIK, it won't play the whole folder though.

I tried that... like you said, it only allows me to play one file and not the whole album/folder... however, if I told the folder and click settings and then play, it does play the whole folder but it uses the "ES file explorer music player instead of my rocketplayer

[Q] Music player cannot locate mp3 files

If I connect (using a USB cable) my LG Nexus 5 to my pioneer car CD player I can play all my mp3, they are seen through the USB/MTP connection.
But if I try to play the mp3 files in Music folder using any music player app (i.e. LG Music Flow Bluetooth)
then I am been told: no media !!!
How could I make my music visible to player?
Thanks.

[ASK] USB OTG to play music

Hi, I want to play songs from my USB Stick since the storage is too precious to store music file.
I've found some solution for my problem, like playing with ES File Manager. ESFM sometimes work fine, but in another time it just play one single song and stop, also i dont like the UI.
I found another workaround on this thread Full USB OTG but I stuck on step 4.
Anyone know how to mount my USB Stick so I can play the songs from it with "normal" music player?

Question USB and audio question

I hook a USB drive to my S22 Ultra with the cable, go to
"my Files" open up the usb directory and I see all the audio files on the USB.
Here is my question..... I have the phone and my JBL flip 5 paired together. I pick a song from the usb drive, music plays just perfect but when the song is done, it doesn't advance to the next song on the list.
I have to click on each song individually.
Is there a setting that allows you to pick the first song and it will continue thru all the audio files automatically, like when I plug the same USB into our home stereo system?
I hope I explained this ok
Thanks for any help as this drives me crazy.
Use a music player app (or a different file manager app e.g. X-plore) to play the files instead of the default file manager app.
Poweramp for example, is an excellent player with a lot of settings and an ecualizer. You can play all the audio files in a folder, instead of creating playlists, and define if you want to start again, etc. But, I've never tested it playing from an external usb drive..
found File Manager + and it works perfect.
X-Plore worked as well but had too many pop up ads
Thank you for all the help
