Anybody know the package name for samsung pay framework so I can freeze it with the debloater tool? Ever since I installed it, hoping samsung pay would work, my bluetooth connectivity has been horrible. I'm thinking that might be the problem.
It's not, I'm running the same with no drain issues. Sorry can't answer to what package it is.

hey guys, got my captivate running smooth over here. was wondering if i could safely delete my samsung keyboard since i never use it? anybody have any ideas? thanks.
Having used the phone extensively over the last week and a half...it probably is safe to get rid of it. Just like how you could probably delete the android or the swype keyboards.
Not 100% sure on this and I'm far from being an android expert or developer so might wanna wait for a few more people.

Does anyone use Verizon Visual Voicemail? I'm hoping someone will be so kind as to send me the Titanium Backup files of their installed Verizon VVM app. I know it sounds like a pain...thing is, I've been looking for someone with the knowledge and understanding of what I'm requesting to post me the file(s).
Please don't make me beg more than I just did
Help!
EDIT: Maybe I should yell you what I need it for...ha. I am running an AOSP/CM11 ROM and need Verizon VVM for work. The only versions I can find are ones designed for TouchWiz or Sense. If I'm not mistaken, the Nexus is able to run Verizon's VVM though. So, I'm really hoping it'll work!!
Thanks for reading this post either way.
Just FYI, the Nexus 5 doesn't work on Verizon network so unlikely anyone here has the VVM

So I uninstalled the sideloaded Samsung Pay in anticipation of the next update, however I am unable to uninstall the framework that came with it. Also, when I try to access my "NFC and Payment" settings I keep getting a FC and I think the framework has something to do with it. I know I can just disable the package or do a factory reset, but I'd rather have it gone completely without resetting my phone. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

That might be the only way. I have not figured out how to either. I will probably just do a factory reset.

Did it allow you to register a card to qualify for the free case or charger from Samsung?

It did not. It says, "Your device is not eligible for this promotion" or something of that nature. I haven't tried it recently though, but I'm guessing it'll be the same.

factory reset does not eliminate this bc it auto installs as part of the root software.
Thank you. But the post you quoted was from about a year ago before Samsung Pay was officially launched and it was not a part of the root software at that time.

I have a similar problem too. I installed Samsung Pay Framework v2.7.27 before Samsung releases its Samsung Pay mini on Galaxy S6. Now both are there as Spay mini came automatically during OTA update. Neither Spay framework nor Spay mini works. In fact, I can't use Spay mini as it says I better use Spay framework as it has better functionality. NOW I AM TRYING TO UNINSTALL SAMSUNG PAY FRAMEWORK AND I CAN'T DO IT AS OPTION TO DO SO IS DISABLED! Anyone knows how to uninstall Samsung Pay Framework please??
I expect to pick up a Note 5 later tonight and will likely root it tomorrow.
From what I've read, rooting the device will trip the knox counter and stop both android and samsung pay from working. But can anyone explain why android and samsung pay no longer work? Is that the only thing that will not work? Will NFC and wireless charging still work?
I really don't care if I trip knox and the android/samsung pays don't work. But i just want to ensure nothing us is disabled after you root.
Thanks

Wireless charging still works great for me. Roooted shortly after getting my note 5.

Thanks. So wireless charging still works.
But to help a 'newbie' better understand, can someone possibly explain what exactly causes the Android and Samsung Pay features to no longer work? Is that related to tripping the knox counter or something else? I think i read the samsung pay uses both nfc and magnetic technology in its use? And andriod pay uses only nfc?
Its good that the wireless charging still works. But I really don't know if the wireless charging is done via nfc or some other format, etc. Just trying to understand better what the cause is why samsung and android pay no longer work under root and there are other items possibly being affected.
It's about the secure element being breached and possible changed by root.
So, my phone has had Knox tripped for about 5 months and I've been using Samsung pay the entire time. Well, I finally fully rooted my phone and all of a sudden Samsung pay on my gear S3 frontier stopped working because the app on my phone sees my phone as being rooted. If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize, but it just felt like more of a watch/app issue than a phone issue. Anyways, I'm using magisk as the root management tool and I've hid magisk from about every app in the list I can imagine. Any ideas?
