For modifying Indonesian Dictionary

Download the app from Google Play

}
Choose App
Select User Dictionary
Touch words. Below will be displayed
SQL command (Select * from words) is displayed. To execute, touch the arrow in right upper corner
All words will be displayed
Suppose you want to change the shortcut for the word/phrase "Aduuuh...", touch that word.
The following screen will be displayed. Do you want to update something?
Yes, we want to update the shortcut
In that case, touch Update Value
The SQL command now turns into Update
But we want to update the shortcut, not the word… OK. No problem. Just touch Update? in the upper left corner
Now touch shortcut in the options. Below will be displayed
Select Enter Value (if you see your choice in the option, just touch that. But you don't see that now. Touch "null" if you want to get rid of a shortcut).
You just need to enter your shortcut. In this case, I try to put the word "aduhm", choosing the letter "m" being close to the dot button in the keyboard
The SQL command is now perfect (you can remove "word = Aduuuh..." if you want, by touching Update again. Try it...)
Just execute by touching the arrow in the upper right corner
Then you have to press "Commit" twice, in the screen below and next screen, to make sure you don't make a mistake
The first Commit
The second Commit
Done. The changes are written to file
You can get out by pressing the upper left arrow, or
You can delete the Where clause and execute the select command again
Or just press Back Button of the phone and go to previous commands
=======================
You also can add Bookmarks for the commands so that so don't need to write again next time.
The two arrows in lower left and right corner is for navigating through records, mostly for Select command.
That's all
Thanks for reading and watching

Cannot remap 3 hardware buttons: Voice Cmd, OK and Camera

greetings all... i wanted to remap my Voice Command button to another activity, however, the Voice Cmd, OK and Camera buttons do not appear in the list of button options:

i know it was there before because i mapped it to DeviceLock. i've already tried 2 soft resets with no success. i'm hopeful that i can fix this with a simple registry change vs. a hard-reset. if this can fixed via registry edit, i would be grateful if someone could (a) export the the correct registry keys and send them to me via PM (or post here) OR (b) post where to find the keys in the registry and list the default settings... thanks in advance for feedback.
I bet it has something to do with some software you installed. I have kaiser and remapped voice dial button to comm manager and it works without any problem.
not in this case... i installed smartSS to take the picture you see in my post. thanks for the suggestion, though.
Interesting, my config screen shows butons 1-6 plus a second number 6 button (hold), total of 7 mappable keys. Have you never had all these keys shown in this config screen? or did something you add take them away? I would perform a Hard Reset and see if the stock rom brings them back. Good Luck!

sorry for that, I already changed my post, I just thought (although not knowing what smartSS is) that it is the software that reserves the use of button mappings and therefore disables them in the windows settings menu.

the buttons just didn't show up when i went to change them. i'm going to hold out for a possible non-hard reset option. for now, i'll use AE Button Plus. thanks for responding...

[Q] Swype + Cursor Handle = No "W"?

I've got a problem that I don't seem to see any others having... although they should.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Every time I open the keyboard to type I'm greeted with the cursor handle halfway over the "w" key. If I try to start a word with a "w" it will think I want to move the handle and the swype won't take, so either I have to wait ~5 sec for it to disappear or hit another letter and backspace and then start. If you are good you can get the bottom of the "w" key but more often than not you get the handle.
It's in the most unfortunate place, too - as most phrases I text start with "w".
Where you at?
Who is coming?
When will you be here?
What do you want to do?
Why are you still here?
...etc
The stock keyboard is fine since there is the space above - why not Swype too?
So the question is - first, more theoretical, why would Android default to have the handle there when there is no text entered? (e.g. starting a text or web search)
Secondly, is there any way to get rid of the handle altogether? I've gotten accustomed to Android not having it so I'm good if it's not there but also with Swype there is little reason to go back and edit individual letters.
Maybe someone who works for Swype will see this and add the new (and much improved) word selection bar above the keyboard all the time like stock gingerbread...
Try Swype 3.0 (in beta)?

Thanks for the reply. I'm using version 3.6.84.26668.t100.26698

Then I'm afraid I have no idea how to fix your problem. I don't ever get the cursor handle when initially opening an input window. Mine only shows up after I touch it a second time.
I have that same problem with the cursor over the W...very annoying. I've defaulted to skipping the 'W' when I type the first word...

How do you copy from address bar?

I'm obviously missing something very basic.
I'm in the web browser. I want to copy the text in the address bar to the clipboard. I put my pen in the address bar. Some kind of text indicator (arrow) appears. Sometimes a little box shows up which says "Paste, Clipboard". But, when I click on clipboard, it doesn't get copied; it just shows me what's in the clipboard. I've looked under the browser menu, nothing says copy or clipboard.
The way I had to do it was to touch "Share" and select e-mail. Then, copy the link from the e-mail message text to the clipboard. That can't be the only way. Right?
Works for me, I just press and hold the address either with my finger or with the S Pen until the whole address is marked. Then I select either Cut or Copy in the toolbar that opens up.
I will post a screenshot from the Note in a minute.

OK. Thanks. It was me being stupid. The problem was that I didn't actually touch the text, I just touched the blank area in the address bar. The text would get selected, but no toolbar popped up. When I touch text string, all the text is selected and I see the toolbar.
Sorry, this is my first tablet/touchscreen.

No need to apologize, this is a Q&A thread where we can ask questions so just fire away! :good:
Also, a quick double tap on the address bar will bring up the same copy/paste option. I find It faster then the "hold" option mentioned above.

[Q] How can i do this on Android Keyboards? :)

this sound like a noob question, but i still can't figure out. so i'll ask it anyway.
and hope you understand my question. hard to explain it so i made a screenshot.
in t-mobile g1, i can do this by just pressing ALT+Enter on physical keyboard same thing when im commenting on facebook, it's equivalent to Shift+Enter in computer keyboard when you commenting on FB.

Are you asking about a "line break?"
Same as you would on a keyboard (Shift+Enter)
The Arrow on the left, is your "Shift" button
Press it (don't hold as you would a keyboard) (arrow will go from just an outline, to a solid white arrow), then press then enter button.
I don't even have the "Return" button until I press the Arrow button. When keyboard first opens, it shows the Smiley Face key.
Hmm Maybe
Hello, try hold pressing on [?123]
I read on any pages, that the new Android Keyboard app would have all Arrows.(Up Down Left Right)
But I don´t know where I read this.
whats that?
please elaborate

Well if you are running the Stock 4.2 keyboard on the Nexus 4, then I suggest you "try" harder. Because Pressing the Arrow(Caps/Shift) like I instructed will change the Smile Key to a Return Key.
Edit: You posted a Screenshotn in the Original Post of a Keyboard that is not Nexus 4 keyboard or Even from a screenshot from Nexus 4 (Android 4.2).
Picture Instructions for Return Line on Nexus 4 (Stock Keyboard):

Floating bubble text stays on-screen a long time.

For some reason these "popup text bubbles" stays on screen for about 60sec(Don't know there name, so it's hard finding related search results).
They're supposed to go away way faster(~5-15sec?).
I can't find a way to revert it, so do any of you know whats going on?
This behavior has persisted on two phones(Both running android 11).
I've imported my settings using my google account to the new phone.

Thank you sir, you're a savior!!!
Disable Bubble Notification On Android For Specific AppsStep 1. Grab your phone or tab (Android) and swipe down from the top of the screen once or twice.
Step 2. Tap on the Settings icon to open your device’s Settings menu.
Step 3. Now, scroll down until you find “Apps and Notifications.” Tap on it.
Step 4. Tap the message that says “See all X apps.” You will find icons of three apps installed on your device on top of the phone screen and this message under it. And ‘X’ is basically, the total number of apps you have on your device.
Step 5. From the list of apps, select the app for which you don’t want to use Bubbles.
Step 6. Then, in the app window, tap “Notifications” and then, select “Bubbles.”
Step 7. Next, tap on the button that says “Nothing can bubble.”
This will stop sending you a Bubble for every message you receive in that app.
Regards,
Willjoe
